    Rawhide....

    Rawhide.....
The most important word that you stated is...FRIEND.
It's not that I support Illegal Immigrants because I don't.
But, I have known Emelina for over 2 years and yes, she is my friend, and I will do what friends do, Support each other, through thick and thin, good times and bad.
Her kids have been growing up with my kids, they are close friends, and I don't believe that the kids care about race, color, or status, they just care about each other as friends do, maybe we can all learn a lesson from them.
Unless you are a true Native American, then I suggest that you track your family tree, and I'd be willing to bet that you too are an Immigrant as are probably 90+% of us here in this country. You can argue that yes, you are legal, so am I, born and raised, but you don't have to go back all that many years ago when people just came to this country and settled.
The world is a different place now with terrorism and crime rates like we never saw when I was growing up, so yes, securing our borders and protecting our children should be a priorty. I also don't want millions of Illegal Immigrants sucking up the resources of our country.
But the bottom line is, Emelina and her girls are close friends with me and my family, she is not a terrorist, just a hard working, single mom, trying to give her children a better life, worthy of my friendship, and I only hope that I am worthy of hers.

Emelina is in this country illegally, correct?

If my assumption IS correct, then your "friend" is a criminal.

Perhaps you should be more selective in choosing your friends.

Oh, by the way...welcome to ALIPAC Mfriedl3

What I understand is those who harbor a CRIMINAL are also criminals.
It's a shame to see a mother teaching her kids that is right to break the laws of this country

It's a shame to see an American citizen supporting INVADERS without any respect for her own country.

'"securing our borders and protecting our children should be a priorty"'

Welcome and I appreciate that you are a good friend but you can't have it both ways.

Securing the border and protecting our children "is" the only priority. You must choose what is most important, your children's security or your friendship. You can't have your cake and eat it, too. I doubt your friend would be as torn if the situation were reversed. You sound like a good person. Ponder and good luck on making the right decision.

You friend broke the law, no matter how nice she is. Illegal is Illegal and to try to find ways to talk around that very important fact is not reality based. She is no better than the single hard working mother that steals money out of a cash register to make ends meet and get her children what they need. Many seemingly nice people break the law, but being nice does not excuse their actions nor make them any less guilty.

Isn't it odd how someone can attempt to justify the unjusifiable?

For those of us who have had contact with many illegals, we have all known illegals we like. The difference, however, is that we don't let that get in the way of doing the right thing.

'Feeling good' seems to take precedence over doing the right thing these days - I fear that is a big part of our problem in this country. We make our decisions and want our laws enforced based on emotions and how we 'feel' about something.

I am sure there are murderers, bank robbers, muggers, or whatever that have some very good friends. Does that mean we should look the other way when they commit crimes?

We are not a nation of immigrants. We are nation of Americans. Once you take that oath, you are no longer an immigrant - but an American. That old cliche is getting sickening. It has no meaning, it just 'sounds good'.

Bottom line, this lady was ordered back to Mexico - why didn't she go? The fact she couldn't afford to go back to Texas makes no sense. She was in Texas when she was ordered deported for Heaven's sake!!!!!!!! Why didn't she just go back to Mexico? She could afford to abscond to Georgia, though.

Sorry, the arguments make no sense - none whatsoever.

One can like an illegal - one can like many illegals - but to suggest that the law should be allowed to be broken because we 'like' someone is a slap in the face of America. It is disrespectful to those of us who obey the laws of this country. It is dishonor to those who fought and died for this country.

Someone needs to get their priorities straight here.

Here's the link to her story about her friend and her situation. It appears her friend has been using her and others while on her second deportation for illegally being here. But, it's not her fault, it's her dumb American husband's fault. I would suggest the poster read the stories of all those who have lost their lives due to illegals. I am their friend.

Rawhide? I remember that TV show! It was about a roundup. We need a modern-day version of the old 'Rawhide' series.

    theme song:
    'Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'
    Keep movin', movin', movin',
    Though they're disapprovin',
    Keep them doggies movin' Rawhide!
    Don't try to understand 'em,
Just rope and throw and grab 'em,
Soon we'll be living high and wide.

Move 'em on, head 'em up,
Head 'em up, move 'em out,
Move 'em on, head 'em out Rawhide!
Set 'em out, ride 'em in
Ride 'em in, let 'em out,
Cut 'em out, ride 'em in Rawhide.

EVERY NATION IS A NATION OF IMMIGRANTS.

EVERYONE ON THE PLANET IS A DESCENDANT OF IMMIGRANTS.

BIG DEAL, THE SAME IS TRUE OF MEXICO AND PANAMA!

EVEN THE NORTH AMERICAN INDIANS WERE NATIONS OF IMMIGRANTS AND DESCENDANTS OF IMMIGRANTS.

PLEASE STOP USING THAT TIRED OLD SAYING "WE ARE A NATION OF IMMIGRANTS" IN AN EFFORT TO GAIN AMNESTY FOR ILLEGAL ALIENS!

MFriedl3-I can't believe my comment to your comment on a previous post has effected you so greatly that you felt the need to single me out and make a new post about it.
I am having a hard time believing you are against illegal immigrants when you defend your friend who is one.Sounds like you're talking out both sides of you mouth. In your previous post you blamed the womans ex-husband for her illegal status even though she had already skipped out on a deportation hearing before marrying him.If you're so bent on seeing her and her anchors have a better life have your spouse get an extra job and use the proceeds to support them all,cuz I'm tired of doing it.
I have had friends who broke the law and I understand people make mistakes but after they do it a few more times I drop them as friends cuz I don't like associating with criminals. She made this mess for her self and for her children, she now has to face the consquences, she should put on her big girl clothes and deal with it.
Would you be so sympathetic to an American? cuz their are alot of us who have been very badly effected by these illegal friends of yours. Why aren't you defending them when families are destroyed by illegals driving drunk or getting sexually assaulted?
She may well be a nice person but illegal is illegal.Hence the word illegal.
