I watched a youtube video with him stating exactly that. He even used US Tech workers as the example.

I am at work and cannot view youtube, but I am sure it is easily found.

and on a side note, I heard that the Boosh is putting together a panel to study the housing mess and Greenspan will head it up. Talk about the monkeys guarding the peanuts..

It is quite easy to debunk the myths and disinformation put forth by corporate propagandists regarding the ongoing H-1b debate.

For one, most propagandists are shy to point out that roughly 60% of all foreign nationals invited to work under the H-1b program are simple Bachelor degree holders. Do undergraduate degree holders truly represent ‘the best and brightest’? I could understand this claim had the workers being invited to work been recipients of PhDs or possibly Masters degrees - but these represent the minority of H-1b workers.

The following fact goes unmentioned too often. The average salary level for a comparable job of an H1-b worker vs. a US citizen/legal resident is about 20% less - provided all other factors are approximately equal. Not only does this suggest that skilled labor importation IS being used as a mechanism to drive down US workers compensation, it also suggests the US DoL is a facilitating ‘enabler’ to this process as well.

Another reason why expanding H-1b is bad is that there are thousands of cases where previous H-1b's have fallen out of status and/or were required to exit the country - but have not. US ICE has shown little effort to identify and remove these individuals. This is yet another source of individuals adding to the overall illegal immigration problem.

Finally, most people do not even know that the majority of H-1b petitions originate NOT from US companies, but from Indian firms. Eight of the top ten users of H-1b program are not American! Our immigration system (namely, the US CIS in this case) is not designed around the need to serve foreign firms or foreign governments - nor should it be!
It is way past time to reign in this agency to ensure that they can manage and control the mess already on their ‘plate’ - before adding greater workload and complexity to the problem.

    Shortage Shouters

Bill Gates and employer organizations and spokespersons who maintain that America has a shortage of this or that kind of scientific or technical expertise are noted as “shortage shoutersâ€

H-1B (skilled, high tech), H-2A (agricultural) and H-2B (non-agricultural) temporary/seasonal worker visas are contributors to our illegal immigration problem. The government issues these visas with no mechanism to ensure that the recipients depart when their visa expires. Approximately 45% of illegal aliens in America are here because they have overstayed their visas and refuse to leave, greatly contributing to our illegal immigration problem.

Remember this: there is nothing more permanent than a temporary worker.

We should not be issuing any visas unless we ensure we have enforcement mechanisms in place to make sure the temporary workers depart and abide by the terms of the visa.
