See now I think I’m starting to understand why I’m getting more confused with this candidate

    Greg,
Where did you get this information. I cannot tell you anything about it unless you show me where this came from.

Jim, I am so sorry, I thought you had the link to Ron Paul’s Web site
    http://www.house.gov/paul/ (and)
    http://www.house.gov/paul/legis.shtml
Personally I like the Guy !!!
He has just voted in some ways in the past i dont agree with at all >>> and it confuses me how he can stand some ways !!! Up untill now those issues never effected me.

You know, if my wife can find it we have a picture of me and Galbraith and Dr. Paul in the late 80s at NKU, back when I was getting ready to graduate the University. Galbraith was out there for something and back then my good friend’s mom was the Liberian at the school and we where able to talk one on one with these Guys
Back then I don’t think Paul ran as a Republican and I still never will be sure what Galbraith is. I don’t think they ever ran against each other,
but any way there was a privet party and they both where at it and bunch of us musicians from the school got to go.
Mans that was a long time ago seems like… we all are a ittle smarter alot wiser, with whole bunch more Gray and from what i can tell most of us all traded the shades for bifocals.

Any way Jim, I don’t think I’ve posted anything about this candidate, before I double checked it out...
Right now He’s(their calling him Doc Ron) gots the top spot around this office. I’ve not made any decisions yet.

Voted NO on allowing school prayer during the War on Terror.
You know this just sounds like one of those silly, feel good, do nothing, time wasting, vote getting laws. I think I would have done the same thing.

Voted NO on military border patrols to battle drugs & terrorism

This I don't understand, but would have to know what the bill actually said - perhaps there were things tacked on it that would be wrong.

Voted NO on subjecting federal employees to random drug tests.

    Kinda don't get this one.

Voted NO on constitutional amendment prohibiting flag desecration.

This kinda seems like another of those feel good bills. Wonder how many of those 'patriots' who voted for this bill were incensed at the treatment the illegals are giving our flag.

Voted NO on criminalizing oil cartels like OPEC.

Don't know about this. How can you 'criminalize' something like this? What good would it do? Would it have any teeth? Is it just a vote getter?
Voted NO on establishing nationwide AMBER alert system for missing kids.

I don't understand this either - would have to check it out.

Voted NO on banning physician-assisted suicide.

    Questions here.

Voted NO on federal crime to harm fetus while committing other crimes.

This I disagree with also. I would have voted differently. Again how many of those who voted for this also would not vote against abortion.

Voted NO on Constitutionally defining marriage as one-man-one woman (yet he says DOMA is enough.)
Voted NO on Constitutional Amendment banning same-sex marriage.

These are silly pandering votes. While I don't agree with same-sex marriage - we all have to realize these people in Washington are just trying to keep the vote of the religous people who helped put them there.

(yet he Voted YES on banning gay adoptions in DC).

I disagree with him on this. It isn't my preference for children, but I have seen children adopted by gays who are loved, cherished, and are very lucky children.

Voted YES on vouchers for private & parochial schools

    This I don't like - and don't understand.

Voted NO on prohibiting lawsuits about obesity against food providers

While I don't agree people should be able to sue food providers unless they are misrepresenting their product, I would like to see some lawsuits against our government for allowing very dangerous additives to be in our food - and not letting us know the ramifications of those additives.

When you look at all those laws, however, they are important to some degree, they are not the most important things we have facing this country.

We need to get our borders closed, our country cleaned out and our foreign policy straightened out - and now. We can then have time to concern ourselves with these things.

As I said, many of these are vote-getting, for the folks back home, pandering type bills.

Greg, I'll look into your questions and get back with you. I cannot speak for Ron Paul's decision on every vote, so I'll try to get the information from RP.
