Thanks for the compliment on my thread!

You know, what kills me is that the illegals call themselves "indigenous" and that they have a right to our land, yet they have little in common with our Native Americans culturally speaking-our indigenous love the outdoors and work to preserve it-while this group would as a group rather have NYC than the Great Outdoors-they love the "congrete jungle"-and I've never heard a peep about them helping get more rights for our indigenous or even assimilating to them (since they refuse to assimilate to mainstream Americans)-they just want to make the Native Americans, as well as the rest of us, indistiguishable from latin Americans culturally, linguistically and ethnically.

Funny how he has the nerve to refer to the US as a SPANISH speaking country!

Why was it wrong, most of those formerly colonized and now free people (like us) are way better off than before colonization. At least they were not all killed off and replaced by the English, like it seems the American Indians did to the first people who lived in America, the Solutreans from Europe.

Funny how upset people get when you threaten to cut off their food stamps and welfare checks! Dec.20th was they're big block the doors to ICE office day. Yeah! that happened! Sounds like we all need to sneak in to Mexico have 5 or 6 kids each and in 100yrs. sneak up on em' from behind!

I say colonization was wrong because stealing and murdering are wrong (theft of land and murdering of millions of innocent people here). I have never heard of the people group from Europe that you mentioned (I heard of the "mound people" that were supposedly here before Native Americans who may have looked more Aboriginal or African) but I will look up the European group on the 'net. What happened, happened though....what I'm trying to prevent is MORE murder and theft of the land from yet another people.


Try to be compassionate toward the Native Americans...think about how it would be have everything normal to you, everything near and dear to you taken away....your world made virtually unrecognizable to what you'd grown up with....much of your family and many of your countrymen murdered just because someone else wanted to live on your land alone and dominate culturally and linguistically (and you were "in their way"),your nation reduced to a tribe, to be forced to convert to another religion against your will (and your being unable to see the goodness of that other religion because of the horrible example set by those forcing it on you), your country taken away in exchange for often dinky parcels of land (reservations)that were all you had left in the world in which to be yourselves, your language and culture forbidden in the general areas of the land you once had control of-and your children forceably taken to the invaders' schools to become culturally and linguistically what they were. I've been reading up on Native Americans of different tribes and I'm sad to report that they are STILL being oppressed by whites today-policemen often harass them even on the reservations just to be mean...and they are the most likely to be alcoholic, poor and suicidal of ALL ethnic groups in the U.S. There are collectively only about 2.5 million of them left in the U.S. Many are stuck in trailers on the reservations without heat in wintertime. Some don't have the "life of Riley" with the big money of the casinos!
Now-don't get me wrong-I'm not saying it's the fault of people born in the U.S. as to what happened here several hundreds of years ago....and God in His mercy, made this a great country with great benefits to many people in spite of the way it started (yet it wasn't His will that criminal behavior happened to get the U.S. started)....all I'm saying is, try to be compassionate...because all of this could happen to US if nothing changes...except we wouldn't even have reservations-we'd either be murdered, deported or forced to assimilate-that would be our three choices!! And I feel that we reap what we sow...if we are compassionate toward others....maybe WE will be spared the same terrible fate.
