Why do we have to close the borders? They are only illegal because we did. The children of those who have come to the usa, to do the work, honestly we don't want to do, those who are working for low wages, and many do pay taxes under SS#'s that aren't theirs so they will never collect, just pay into our system, and we give them little in return. Hopefully we get the children into school, teach them english and teach them, or they may just become a burden on our society. These people are mostly very hard working people who want the best for their families, but because of our ridiculously difficult immigration laws, are here illegally, to employers who welcome them. They could never afford out of state tuition for college. It may be that these children could one day come up with a new fuel system that won't need gasoline, or find a cure for Aids, but will never have the chance. They could one day save your life, or one of your loved ones lives, but never have the chance.

The families I work with have the utmost respect for their teachers, their parents and other adults, something I cannot say for a higher percentage of american children. We can learn from them. The US was once called the melting pot, then somewhere we got mixed up and decided we are too good for others and closed our borders, if we would just open them up, we could benefit from eachother, instead of have a 3rd world country on our border, we could help our neighbors, and not be the bullies of the Americas.

But what I really want to get across, although I probably have many breathing fire right now. SAVE THE CHILDREN. They are wonderful if you get to know them, those trying to go to college are the children of the illegal immigrants, who won't be returning to Mexico as their younger brothers and sisters are American Citizens. We need to embrace them, or who knows what will happen to them, it won't be good for our society.

What part of illegal don't you understand? Do you support rewarding lawbreakers? We have immigration laws. People who come here in violation of those laws are lawbreakers. They should not be here in the first place. They are thumbing their noses at our country and the Rule of Law by establishing residence here as an ILLEGAL ALIEN!

We need to embrace them, or who knows what will happen to them, it won't be good for our society.

I'm really not concerned with embracing lawbreakers. Should I go find the nearest sex offender and embrace him?

I will gladly give them a hug goodbye and wish them the best as they go back to their country of origin and then apply to become legal citizens before returning If they are granted citizenship, I will "embrace them" as Legal Americans.

Why don`t you go spend some time with the lady that had to buy a weapon so she could clear her house of "Illegal Alians" before she entered her home.And then spend the night with her and sleep in fear of your/her life.OR! maybe you could help her remove the stolen car from her driveway after the "Illegal Alians" made a "DRUG DEAL" in her front yard a then left the stolen car in her driveway.
What about her children? She can`t even let her children outside to play without fear of her children being harmed on some way,how about her children?Where do you live?"On the "Boarder" I doubt it.You most likley live near some politician,away for it all and only read the news.

This is how stupid our Government is.
John McCain wants to let 400,000 Illegal Alians int this country each year.Now that in addition to the Illegal Alians that sneak into this country anyway.
At the same time our wonderful Government just passed a bill that will allow the completion of "The Wall".Here is the stupid part.
What good will it do to spend millions of tax payers dollars on a wall when John McCain will hold open a door for Illegal Alians" to pasa through?
How smart is that.

I am Well aware of how much our rulers care about us. My post was about how I feel about the Illegals. The goverment is a whole other story. Once they pass CAFTA and FTAA, this border issue wont be a problem because there wont be any borders.

Good Lord, bibles, just what is it that you do not understand about the word "illegal"? You remind me of a rich person walking in the middle of a getto full of criminals asking, "Why can't we just get along"? Get a grip man! Wake up! Do you not have a clue? I don't care how nice an illegal is. They are still illegal pure and simple.

Is it asking too much for illegals to be bound by the same laws as you and I?

Is it asking too much for our law enforcement officials to enforce the law?

It it asking too much for our elected politicians to uphold and not dilute the existing law and not pass new ones that circumvent the old laws?

I can't believe the stupidity of those in and out of the NC legislature promoting HB 1183. That is the dumbest thing since someone said the Titantic was unsinkable and the OJ jury found him innocent.

The United States presently allows 1,000,000 a new legal immigrants in every year without jobs....these are the ones waiting on the "list" for many different reasons...family reunification, just want to come here for the "dream", etc.

There are several hundred thousand others that come in under special work visas. If McCain wants to let another 400,000 in a year....then you are presently looking at close to 2,000,000 new legal immigrants a year....PLUS all the illegals.

That's why I feel there should be a Moratorium for awhile to analyze exactly what is going on with this complex immigration law.

The 1,000,000 was raised from around 500,000 ten years ago....right under our noses but without our actual knowledge...at least I didn't know until I saw it on a chart doing research.
