Thieves brought their own big rigs to a trailer depot near the Port of Los Angeles and made off at gunpoint with loaded trailers, a police sergeant said.

The multiple suspects struck the location at 1000 Farragut Ave. and Anaheim Street in Wilmington at about 11 p.m. on Sunday, Sgt. Brian O'Connor said. He could only say the suspects took an unknown number of containers with unknown cargo, and confirmed they brought their own trucks. | POLICE NEWS

The suspects have been described as two males.

A videographer who spoke with police at the scene said that two armed men wore masks, beat a man and woman guard about their faces and heads and fled with two trailers loaded with containers.

"They were very rough with the victims there," said Lt. John Pasquariello of the LAPD. Both victims were transported to hospitals in Long Beach with bumps and bruises to the face.

Police are on the lookout for the trailers and are investigating the heist.
