On Monday November 5th ABC News is teaming up with the American Red Cross for ABC's Day of Giving. It starts on Good Morning America and goes right through to Nightline to raise money for Hurricane Sandy disaster relief.

Red Cross volunteers from our area and across the country are already in disaster areas giving food, water, blankets, and other necessities to those who need help.

"It's the right thing to do is a cliché, but it just feels really good to help people out, people that are in need. It feels good to be able to be there, especially when disaster occurs," said Nikki Otto of the Cumberland Valley Red Cross.

You can participate in the Day of Giving by contributing to the Red Cross.

Your donation will help provide meals, shelter and hope to families who need it most.

You can send 10-dollars right now by texting 9-0-9-9-9. You can also donate online at redcross.org, or by calling 1-800-redcross.
