Each of the states had their own opinions of what laws should be. But these were superseded when they agreed to live under the Constitution! For instance, state religions were endorsed by some states/colonies, but prohibited under the Constitution. And even state militias were brought under federal authority by the Constitution.

WRONG! As I pointed out and you agreed, this state constitution was created some 15 years before the Constitution. It was also written while the sting of war was still very much on their minds. The Constitution overrides the state's authority to "forbid" the federal government from entering their state!
