Is This Treason?




At what point in the course of human events when it becomes necessary to dissolve the political bands and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, do we leave the notion of treason behind and embrace the liberty of revolution?

Last week a man, Cliven Bundy made a stand. He would not let the federal government illegally seize his property in a bid to have his livelihood and thereby his land stripped from him.

In 1776 Thomas Jefferson wrote a little something that the preamble of this article artfully interspersed within itself, it was called the Declaration of Independence. Now, most of us know WHAT this is…but do you know what is SAYS? Not the catch phrases and buzzwords like “all men created equal” and “life liberty and the pursuit of happiness” but what the actual charges against the King were?

The following is taken DIRECTLY from the Declaration of Independence. Prepare to be shocked at how applicable it is today:

He has obstructed the Administration of Justice, by refusing his Assent to Laws for establishing Judiciary powers. (where are the independent investigations into Fast and Furious, Benghazi, Obamacare etc)

He has made Judges dependent on his Will alone, for the tenure of their offices, and the amount and payment of their salaries. (if you are not an Obama contributor good luck getting a seat on the federal bench)

He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harrass (sic) our people, and eat out their substance. (that one just speaks for itself…how many czars does this country have now?)

He has kept among us, in times of peace, Standing Armies without the Consent of our legislatures. (the federal government buys BILLIONS of rounds of ammo, drones flying over American cities, feds training to fight US citizens on American soil)

He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution, and unacknowledged by our laws; giving his Assent to their Acts of pretended Legislation. (see: UN Arms Trade Treaty)

For imposing Taxes on us without our Consent (again…Obamacare et al)

For taking away our Charters, abolishing our most valuable Laws, and altering fundamentally the Forms of our Governments. (continued attacks on the 2nd Amendment, socialized medicine etc)

It’s as if someone today was writing this about President Obama. Yet, what was good and just and noble back in 1776 is being decried as terrorism by loud mouth Nevada Senator Harry Reid.

After the showdown in Nevada with Clive Bundy and a ragtag band of Patriotic mitia forcing the tyrannical federal government to back down, Reid decries this action thusly:

“They’re nothing more than domestic terrorists. I repeat: what happened there was domestic terrorism.”

In the eyes of Harry Reid, free men and women standing up against the tyranny of an overreaching government is equivalent to terrorism. Reid goes on to discuss Cliven Bundy directly:

“Clive Bundy does not recognize the United States. The United States, he says, is a foreign government. He doesn’t pay his taxes. He doesn’t pay his fees. And he doesn’t follow the law. He continues to thumb his nose at authority.”

Let’s look at that for a second. The federal government IS NOT the United States. Liberal socialists always make that mistake. They claim that a strong government makes a strong nation. That is a load of cow dung. It is the strength of the individual that makes this nation great. Patriots make up the United States. It is the patriot who beats back tyranny, who creates wonder and beauty, who rises above himself and strives for something greater.

All a government can do is try to legislate away freedom, liberty and excellence.


Oh, and those fees and laws that Reid claims Bundy doesn’t follow? He’s right…Bundy doesn’t because they were specifically being used to deprive Bundy of his property.

I don’t fault Bundy for not being driven from his land and forced to go bankrupt via a federal governments scheme to seize his property.

Let’s just universally agree that Harry Reid is an ass.

Because frankly, anyone who would think that Cliven Bundy and those who stood up with him against tyranny are anything other than reminiscent of Concord and Lexington must hate how this country was FOUNDED.

Harry Reid is the terrorist in this scenario. He has vowed:

“Well, it’s not over. We can’t have an American people that violate the law and then just walk away from it. So it’s not over.”

That sounds like a threat to me. A malfunctioning drone type of threat…an Elian Gonzales midnight snatch type of threat…a “we’re the federal government and we will bleed you dry in endless court litigation” kind of threat…a no knock warrant with no just cause and killing your dog kind of threat.

Why would Reid care…it’s not HIS money used to persecute a patriot.

It’s OURS. Ain’t that a kick in the crotch.

Did Bundy and his militia supporters engage in terrorism or treason?

Hell no. From the moment of our founding we believed in this:

And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.

It can’t be treason…for nothing is more American than that.

Along with Nevada Sen. Harry Reid, state Rep. Steven Horsford has been a constant voice of opposition against those who came to his state to support Cliven Bundy against federal agents they believed were using excessive force. Despite a dearth of evidence to back up his claim, Horsford has publicly stated that militia members in the Bunkerville area have established armed checkpoints and are routinely harassing local citizens.
His latest call to rid the area of these protesters came this past weekend during comments he made at an event in a neighboring town.

According to his account, an unidentified fifth grader told him Bundy suffers from a “sense of entitlement,” which apparently prompted Horsford to once again protest the presence of armed militiamen in his district.
“And that is why I am calling on [Gov.] Brian Sandoval, Sen. Dean Heller, the sheriff and any other elected official in Nevada to do their part to get rid of these armed separatists.”
Despite the fact that Nevada law allows individuals to carry firearms, Horsford wants local law enforcement to force these concerned citizens out of the community. Furthermore, he has called for a federal investigation into the activities of the remaining protesters.
Both Sandoval and Heller are Republicans who have, to varying degrees, spoken out against the invasion of federal Bureau of Land Management agents last month in Clark County.
Heller has been more supportive of Bundy and his supporters, however, describing protesters as “patriots.”
Sheriff Doug Gillespie did not immediately comment on the latest demand made by Horsford. For his part, Sandoval offered a measured response to a question regarding whether Gillespie is planning to use force in removing the protesters.
“No,” he said, “and even if he had said that, I wouldn’t share that with you; because certainly that’s a conversation between the two of us.”
Late last week, a post on the Bundy Ranch Facebook page indicated the family was calling on protesters to join them in filing a criminal complaint against the BLM. A lengthy post published Friday offered a transcription of a statement delivered by Ammon Bundy at the Clark County Sheriff’s Office earlier that day.

IS BUNDY A RACIST, OR ARE THE CONSERVATIVE MEDIA COWARDS?

The New York Times edited 67-year old Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy’s comments to mean something the exact opposite of what he crudely said. That’s exactly how the progressive media attack someone with whom they disagree. It doesn’t matter to progressives that they are destroying the black culture and the lives of millions of blacks; progressives will continue to pour “free” money into the black community to get the black vote. It has nothing to do with compassion.

One of the most horrifying examples of blame-shifting by progressives occurred April 17, 2014 when Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid called supporters of rancher Cliven Bundy “domestic terrorists.” By doing so he was saying that the sovereign state must be protected at all costs from average citizens. Somehow in a complete disconnect, Nidal Malik Hasan can scream Allah Akbar while killing 13 people and attempting to murder 32 more at Fort Hood, Texas, and it is officially “workplace violence.” But Cliven Bundy and his supporters are “domestic terrorists?” Reid’s hate-filled comment was either born in insanity, or a carefully crafted effort to take the spotlight off the horrendous actions of the BLM and put on Bundy’s supporters.

To set the record straight, the only ones who committed violence and destroyed property in the standoff were BLM jackboots, not the peaceful citizens.With over 200 armed BLM, some hotheads pointing guns at citizens atcitizens, things got to a hair trigger. Most people don’t know how bad it was. Sheriff Richard Mack, who went all the way to the Supreme Court to successfully get the Brady Bill declared unconstitutional, was driving to the Bundy ranch when one of the members of his CSPOA organization called him with an update: "Sheriff, these agents are going to kill us. At first, they threatened to arrest us, but now they are threatening to shoot us. There is no question in my mind; they are going to kill us. Please, just tell my wife that I love her."He suddenly hung up.

Thankfully, that did not happen. Only the BLM lost control and tasered Bundy’s son and knocked down his near90 year old mother. Only the BLM systematically shot and killed at least a dozen head of Bundy’s cattle, some in ways that brought maximum pain suffering to the cows as they slowly died. Only the BLM deliberately destroyed water tanks and corrals, which they knew were Bundy’s private property. Except for a select group within these agencies, agency personal do not have any constitutional right to have police power and be armed.

Apparently the police power and right to carry guns was granted to the agencies by the agencies themselves, even though there is no constitutional provision for it. Except for the FBI and other very limited cases, the massive militarization of almost every federal agency began during the Clinton administration. In 1996 alone at least 2,439 new federal agents were authorized to carry firearms, including the BLM. Today there are over 120,000 armed federal bureaucrats. This should turn the blood of every American to ice. Especially since the government bought over 1.7 billion rounds of ammunition last year andmore are being bought this year. What in the world would they use it for, except against the citizens? It seems that our bloated government is afraid of its citizens. Why?

Conversely, Bundy’s supporters were well disciplined and calm for the most part. Just who are the terrorists in this case? It’s certainly not Bundy or his supporters. Fifty, even thirty years ago, Bundy and his fellow ranchers would have been called the “salt of the earth.” A bit too salty for some, perhaps, but this author has worked with many of them, and while they can be crusty, even abrasive in their opinions, they usually have hearts of gold.

Progressivism is going off the deep end of fantasy and ad hominine lies that will not end well – for anyone. Yet, just because Bundy is inarticulate with more rough edges than anyone can count framed his discussion of Negro slavery vs. the government plantation in a seemingly disgusting way to most American’s, doesn’t mean he was wrong. After fifty years and more than 16 trillion dollars of expenditures the War on Poverty has almost zero net effect. Fifteen percent of the American people are in poverty today, down somewhat from 19 percent at the start of President Johnson’s War on Poverty.The number of children living in poverty remains the same. America was promised by Johnson that his legislation would wipe out poverty all together. True many people have justifiably benefited from the various programs as a safety net.

Worse, all the giveaways and having big-daddy government provide for your every need has destroyed the black culture. In 1964, only 6.4 percent of children were born out of wedlock. It was 24 percent for blacks. Today, nearly 41 percent are. In the black community 73 percent are born to single mothers. Progressive ideology has systematically destroyed the African American family, resulting in a cascading tragedy that is getting worse and worse.

Although blacks make up only 13 percent of the U.S. population, the FBI reports that blacks were arrested for 49 percent of the homicides in 2012, 32 percent of the rapes, 34 percent of aggravated assault and 55 percent of all arrests for robbery. Nearly half of all murder victims are black – over three times the percentage found in the general population. Welfare, as designed by Johnson and his progressive ideologue friends has stripped African Americans of their humanity decimating communities.

Bundy is not a racist, although progressives want to convince you he is to hide their own bigoted assault on African Americans. A video of Bundy’s talk showed the New York Times that inflamed America was deliberately taken out of context; something that progressives routinely do to destroy anyone who is opposing them. Racism is un-American and deplorable, even sickening. However, when falsely used as a dishonest tool to destroy someone is even more heinous. Even the black community says Bundy is not racist in his comments once you stripe away all the crude rhetoric.

Former UN Ambassador Alan Keys said “He wasn’t talking so much about black folks, but about the harm and damage that the leftist socialism has done to blacks.” Roger Innis, national spokesman for the Congress of Racial Equality agreed, but added this comment: “What would've been better is if Cliven had said, ‘Look, there are a number of blacks and Latinos and poor whites now that are involved in a real slavery, which is the slavery of government dependence.’”

Speaking for himself, Innis said “I was just talking with a local businesswoman who pointed across the street and talked to me about low-income housing or free government-subsidized housing and how the people there do not work because they don't have to… They may not even know that they are slaves, but there is in fact a neoslavery that exists. When you take out individual initiative, individual responsibility, and the hope that every individual is born with, to better their lives, to climb the economic ladder, to pursue happiness, that is in fact a neoslavery." That’s exactly the point Bundy was trying to make in his own rough and ready way. And it’s true. Progressive ideology has destroyed pride in the black culture that has become their nightmare.

A personal black friend of Bundy’s also came to his defense: “The media distorts information to the point of social division. This is a photo of myself and the resilient, often charismatic, and maybe not so tactful Cliven Bundy. He’s a cowboy and a helluva family man, not an orator. One thing he definitely isn’t – a racist. I found his comments to not only be NOT racist, but his own view of his experiences. Who the heck are we to determine another man’s perspective on the world around him?!”

Indeed, what about Bundy’s First Amendment rights? What the New York Times (NYT) did in a blatant and despicable way was to use political correctness in place of factual news to smear a person whose injustice by the federal government was destroying him. Even if Bundy were a racist, the violation of his constitutional rights by the federal government, the destruction of his ranch and the despicable smear campaign by the NYT is not even in the same universe as a few racial words that harmed no one.

Equally offensive, and the most disappointing is the complete rout of support by the conservative media and pundits in their terror of being labeled racist by politically correct fear mongering. They dumped Bundy within minutes of the NYT accusation, without even getting the facts before opening their mouths to call “retreat!” If they were cars, the stench of burning rubber caused by their escape would be overwhelming. Cowards all.Do the American people really want political correctness to replace constitutional protections? If what happened to Bundy is an example, apparently so.

No wonder progressive ideology is destroying America when alleged conservatives crumble in the face of insane political correctness. The NYT article did what it was designed to do; distract the American attention from a case that revealed abuse by the federal government and the will to correct it, to a totally superfluous non-issue of racism where everyone thinks, ho hum, Bundy doesn’t deserve my support. If you don’t support him, you will be next sometime in the future, maybe sooner than you think.

The U.S. Army wants 418,000 acres of private ranch land to triple the size of its Piñon Canyon Maneuver Site, a training area considered suitable -- some would say essential -- for preparing American warriors to do battle in the Middle East and Afghanistan. The 1,000-square-mile facility would be 15 times the size of the District.

Senator Jim DeMint took to the pages of the Washington Post this morning to raise the alarm about a planned, 10 million acre Western land grab by the Obama administration.
A secret administration memo has surfaced revealing plans for the federal government to seize more than 10 million acres from Montana to New Mexico, halting job- creating activities like ranching, forestry, mining and energy development. According to 8 News Now, militia members who were present during the tense standoff near the Bundy Ranch in Nevada last month may end up facing charges if it’s found that they pointed firearms at law enforcement officers.
As seen in several widely circulated photos, several armed protestors did point rifles in the direction of law enforcement personnel from a distance during the standoff.
According to 8 News Now,

Lombardo confirms that Metro developed a lot of intelligence about militia members who were present. Those who aimed their guns at officers will be dealt with.
“Yes, there will be consequences, definitely. That is unacceptable behavior. If we let it go, it will continue into the future,” Lombardo said.
Law enforcement sources told us that federal officials are preparing to move against Cliven Bundy, but they might wait months until things die down before making their move.
Metro Police could take separate action in response to the provocations they experienced in Bunkerville and may be working to identify particular suspects.
