Burton optimistic about Chase chances
Louis Brewster, Staff Writer

FONTANA - Jeff Burton had a tough night at Caifornia Speedway on Sunday, finishing 16th in the Sony HD 500 and dropping to 10th in the Chase for the Championship.
Burton will enter the final race in the qualifying process just 30 points ahead of Kasey Kahne, who won Sunday's race in dominating fashion. Is he feeling the pressure?

"Pressure is when you don't a chance in hell to do anything," said Burton. "This isn't pressure. This feels good. We have a chance to have something good happen. It's still ours to win or lose; we've just got to get it done.

"I'm disappointed on how we ran in the middle of the race, I'm not disappointed about how we ran in the end. We got beat by four or five cars that seemed to go the whole way on gas and we couldn't. We weren't good in the middle part of the race and then we we couldn't go as far as some of those guys could, and that stacked up against us.

"There at the end, we were hauling. We were really fast at the end."
