That's what I was asking you to do. What on Earth would make Clark a viable candidate, much less anyone's first choice?

Clark is a strong supporter of gays in the military.

Clark supports gun control, such as the "assault weapon" ban.

"Clark is a strong supporter of a social safety net, including effective and well-supported systems of education and health care"

Clark supports progressive taxation. (again, Socialism)

Well, I would say that from an immigration standpoint alone this clown is a non-starter, and I would suggest that anyone who thinks he is the best candidate for President does not share the views and goals of this site or its members. Tell us again, "GUYMAN," why you came here...

There is one point about Clark that is little known but speaks volumes concerning War, foreign policy & the military.

He was a loose cannon during his stint in Kosovo/Bosnia 'conflict.'
He was the General who almost caused a mini war with Russia concerning turf and his recommendation was for us to fire upon the Russians.

A real pariah and they had all they could do to clean up some of his mistakes. Generally, our military have little to no respect for old Wes.

Yeah, this guy has some real issues. There have been suggestions that he may have some underlying personal or professional failings or possibly some serious skeletons in the closet. When he was last spoken of as a serious political candidate, these whispers put a quick end to his potential candidacy.

    He does Crocket.

He was a real military screw up. But, that's for another time and another place as his stance on the ILLEGAL INVASION is what matters for our purposes.

Should he ever attempt to run again, his follies and mismanagement will be hung out for all to see. A real nutcase within the military structure.
One doesn't have to dig too deep in order to find some interesting info on ole Wes. Unlike mccain who has managed to cover many of his tracks.

Which proves the point that this isn't a 'party problem'.......it's an American problem. We've got bad guys on both sides of the aisle with, however, more of the good guys sitting in the Repub camp.

Well..........he did admit he was a Democrate, CG.

Personally, I could never support Clark and I'm retired military.

    Clark

Name me a mainstream candidate besides Tancredo who espouses the views on illegal immigration that most people on this Board want. As the last Poster said I am a Democrat. If some of you believe in other so called conservative positions like tax breaks for the rich, no gun control whatsoever, making abortion illegal, no public safety net for the poor/elderly, well so be it. I respectfully disagree. As far as Clark in the military he was a Vietnam hero, and ended up the head of NATO. Not a bad resume. He may be "no Ike" but Collen Powell was a paper pusher by comparison.

we range from Dem to Independent and everything inbetween.

The only issue inportant here concerning Clark is his open borders stance.
That's where the rubber meets the road in this fight to secure our borders.

In part, his NATO screwups helped to damage his military creds. But that's only a fraction of what makes up the person and only important if he should decide to throw his hat into the ring once again.

The thing that's so important is that, whether it's the issue of abortion or entitlements and whatever other issues are individually important, without our Sovereignty, the rest won't matter a tinker's damn. Everything revolves around this issue.

Glad you've jumped in with both feet. No matter your party affiliation, you are WELCOME here. We're Americans first.

theres Duncan Hunter that's probable going to run. What is your problem with Tancredo ? The only problem I have with him (other not being a vet) is his stand on Socical Security.
