The motorcycle he rode on "Happy Days" (1974) was the same motorcycle Steve McQueen rode in the famous motorcycle scenes in The Great Escape (1963). Triumph Scrambler

I respectfully disagree. As far as Clark in the military he was a Vietnam hero, and ended up the head of NATO. Not a bad resume. He may be "no Ike" but Collen Powell was a paper pusher by comparison.
LOL!!! So was Kerry until his fellow Swiftboat vets spilled the beans on his antics over there.
They both were wounded in battle - Clark more seriously so. And your quote contains "LOL"? But I'm sure you consider yourself a big tough patriot don't you? Really sad.
I take umbrage at your insinuation, fella. Don't you think it would be wise to get to know your fellow posters before making bold accusations about their patriotism and character, or do I already know you from somewhere else? I do plenty for my country, and the fact that we were not at war during the time that I was of service age in no way speaks to the patriotism of my generation one way or another.

If the affidavits produced by the Swift Boat Vets are truthful (they ARE, after all, sworn statements), Kerry's wound was scarcely more than a scratch and his fellow Swifties were astonished that he put in for and received the award for it. He also chased down and murdered a helpless Vietnamese according to their testimony. You will forgive me if I hold my heroes to a higher standard.

As for Clark, his rash orders (which, thankfully, were overruled in the field) to attack the Russians in the Balkans could have led to an international crisis. I prefer that my heroes demonstrate the good judgment to not risk initiating a second Cold War.

I think it would be best for GUY to validate his reasoning for approval of any of his preferable candidates and the so-called "hero" {NOT} status should they be a Veteran with documentation.

There is more than enough factual information to prove those who are fake heroes and those that were honorable troops.

There is so much more to this than meets the eye.

Please, again I ask that everyone keeps the debate civil.

The Democratic party went to hell after JFK was killed.

DDE warned us about the Republicans and their "Military-Industrial complex". (Think Global corporations)

I can't think of a SINGLE President since JFK that was worth a tinker's damn.

LBJ - The Great Society - (Socialism)

    Nixon - Watergate

Ford - Ford??? Was he a President??

    Carter - Neville Chamberlain???

    Reagan - Brady Bill

    Bush 41 - "...a New World Order..."

Clinton - China (secrets, campaign $$$, etc. etc.)

Bush Jr - Where the hell do I start???

** Carter = the mess we're in right now w/Iran & the middle east

Piney, come on now.......you knew that one, lol.

JFK wasn't worth much of a tinker's damn, imho.
He was not an honest man from the get go.
The man was pres due to his father's illegal activities/money and he almost got us blown to smithereens anyway. He didn't leave a mark
worth much unless you're considering his connection to Camelot, Marilyn and Dealy Plaza.

We haven't had a decent pres since Ike.

Actually, we had precious few between Ike and Teddy Roosevelt. God knows that FDR was a pariah.

I'm of the mind that Kennedy was killed because of his intent to get us out of Vietnam, which would have severely impacted the goals of the M-I complex. I also tend to believe that he was going to reveal the shadow government, and the fact that our elected reps were (and are) taking orders from ' a higher power', namely the cabal of European bankers that actually own us.

I don't care if JFK and RFK were tag-teaming Norma Jean, but I do believe she was killed because of 'pillow talk' that revealed the depth of deception in our government.

    I know, I'm a 'conspiracy theorist'....

    Kennedy got us DEEPER into VN and it was due to Cuba/Soviet Union creep. He increased our military 'advisors' ETC. {caps cause the ETC. was black}

I think Kennedy's greatist sin against the powers that be was that he created the US Note. It is notable that LBJ's first action once he was sworn in was to rescind that EO.
