More video has surfaced of MIT Professor and ACA Architect Jonathan Gruber explaining the necessity for underhanded tactics to get Obamacare passed. Gruber’s direct involvement in Massachusetts’ healthcare bill under Governor Mitt Romney.

“Jonathan Gruber at MIT devoted hours and hours to an essential econometric model,” Romney said.

This “econometric model” can now be seen in President Obama’s “Affordable” Care Act, which has been everything but affordable for the American public.

Despite attempts by the Obama Administration to distance itself from Gruber, countless videos continue to expose his major role in deceiving the public.

This latest video serves to illustrate the clear agenda of both parties at the top – higher prices, less care and more government control. Damn Americans. They just don’t see the wisdom of surrendering to experts the power they need to remake the country into a progressive paradise.

Sighing with regret, liberals like Jonathan Gruber admit that they’re forced to hoodwink the citizens. For their own good.

Gruber, the MIT economist who (in the words of The New York Times) “put together the basic principles of” ObamaCare and helped Congress “draft the specifics of the legislation” is one of a long line of liberals driven by the belief that the stupidity of the American people is so insurmountable that persuasion is futile.

Liberalism: the place where compassion blurs into condescension.

“Lack of transparency is a huge political advantage and basically, you know, call it the stupidity of the American voter or whatever, but basically, that was really, really critical to getting the thing to pass,” Gruber said, in a newly unearthed 2013 video that went viral last week. Gruber’s jocular tone wasn’t surprising. In explaining why a huge tax increase was disguised to conceal it from the American people, he was admitting what was obvious to close observers: The law is really just a redistribution scheme.

Even the Democrats didn’t think ObamaCare could pass by being so described. That’s why deception, as Gruber says, was central to its design. During an appearance on Ronan Farrow Daily, Gruber tried to explain away his initial comments by claiming he was speaking “off the cuff” when he said that a “lack of transparency” was crucial in fooling ‘stupid Americans’ during the effort to pass Obamacare. Gruber: “This bill was written in a tortured way to make sure CBO did not score the mandate as taxes. If CBO scored the mandate as taxes, the bill dies… [I]f you had a law which said that healthy people are going to pay in – you made explicit healthy people pay in and sick people get money, it would not have passed… Lack of transparency is a huge political advantage. And basically, call it the stupidity of the American voter or whatever, but basically that was really really critical for the thing to pass… Look, I wish Mark was right that we could make it all transparent, but I’d rather have this law than not.”

Gruber had contracts with several government agencies that ranged from thousands to millions of dollars where his primary job was to sell the single-payer model to state-level governments, according to public record.
Fox News' Bret Baier called this a "big deal" as he tried to explain how Gruber was able to amass up to $5.9 million in total consulting fees from agencies such as the NIH, the HHS and even the State Department.
“He was well-respected in the circle of pro-Obamacare, and trying to explain it he even came up with a comic book, which adds to the unbelievable scenario of this story," Baier said.
Even though most people are focusing on Gruber's almost $400,000 contract with HHS, eight states hired Gruber on a contract basis to advise or assist in creating state-based healthcare exchanges.
Gruber was responsible for advising the healthcare exchanges in Colorado, Connecticut, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Vermont, West Virginia and Wisconsin, The Washington Post reports.
Of the eight different states he advised, Michigan gave Gruber the most lucrative contract at $481,050. Minnesota came in second, awarding Gruber $229,000 (not $329,000 as the Post originally reported) to check in twice a week with the state to make sure the exchange was on track to be completed according to the administration's standards.

Ever since a series of videos featuring Obamacare architect Jonathan Gruber insulting the American public were released on the Internet, folks around the country have been just a tad bit irritated.
One such angry American happens to be Fox News host Judge Jeanine Pirro, who took an opportunity during the monologue of her show over the weekend to completely skewer both Obama and Gruber for their work to purposefully deceive the nation into supporting their disastrous–and socialistic–healthcare law.

“They think you’re stupid, that they can pull the wool over your eyes, they know more than you do and that they know what’s good for you, and it’s best to simply keep you in the dark.
So why lie to the American people – and make no mistake, we were lied to – starting with “you can keep your health care plan and your doctor” to “this is not a tax, it’s a penalty.”
But think about it – how could we possibly have a law that would cover millions more with no added cost to you? After all – you’re the one who always gets squeezed.
And – with the president’s impending executive action on immigration – might you be the one to pay for health care for those additional five million illegals?”

Pirro’s epic rant then shifted over to the Obama administration, which has been doing their very best to distance themselves from Gruber, stating on numerous occasions they disagree with his harsh comments.
There’s only one problem. White House records indicate that Gruber spent significant time hanging out with the President to discuss the healthcare law.

“The White House says they don’t agree with what the ObamaCare architect said.
Yet records confirm that Gruber spent time at the White House.
And Gruber says he met with the president twice – including in the Oval Office – to discuss the law.
Hey, Gruber, Americans aren’t stupid. We knew all along that ObamaCare was nothing more than an attempt to socialize medicine and tax us to pay for this redistribution of wealth.”

The fiery judge then discussed what course of action she believes should be taken since this information has come to light, and it isn’t going to make Mr. Gruber very happy.

“So what do we do about an administration that lies to us? One that pays a man 400 thousand dollars to make the health care bill as convoluted as possible? To write the bill in a tortured way to make sure the congressional budget office doesn’t say the mandate was a tax?
Now it may be my background – but when someone lies and admits they perpetrated a fraud and picks a victim they think they can fool, which costs that victim money, they should be prosecuted for fraud.”

I totally agree with Judge Jeanine. Gruber swindled the American people and committed an act of fraud, and as such, he should be prosecuted to the fullest extend of the law.
America has tolerated lawbreakers like Obama and Gruber for far too long. It’s sending a negative message to other shysters across the country that they can take advantage of people without any consequences so long as their crime is done within the realm of politics.
This entire situation clearly illustrates that Barack Obama is a textbook politician who’s incapable of telling the truth. He lied his rear off during his first campaign telling the people of the nation he intended to have the most transparent administration in history, yet here he is behind closed doors with conspirators plotting to purposefully deceive citizens in order to accomplish his own agenda.
Americans should absolutely demand that action be taken to bring Gruber to justice for his participation in this massive fraud, and hopefully enough evidence will surface to make that happen.

A new report shows that the Obama administration mixed dental plan enrollments with other health plan enrollments without notifying the public.
The numbers the administration touted included several hundred thousand of these dental plans in their total number of enrollees, Bloomberg reports.

The Obama administration included as many as 400,000 dental plans in a number it reported for enrollments under the Affordable Care Act, an unpublicized detail that helped surpass a goal for 7 million sign-ups.

This way of reporting the numbers had not been done before the September announcement.

Federal officials said in September they had 7.3 million people enrolled in coverage through new government-run insurance exchanges. They didn’t distinguish between medical and dental plans, breaking from previous practice without notice.
Blending dental and medical plans let the administration assert that enrollment remained greater than 7 million, the original projection of the Congressional Budget Office. The move also partly obscured the attrition of more than 1 million in the number of people enrolled in medical insurance.

Obamacare critics and supporters alike were outraged by the deception.

“After touting 8 million initial sign-ups for medical plans, four months later they engaged in a concerted effort to obscure a heavy drop-out rate of perhaps a million or more enrollees by quietly adding in dental plan sign-ups to exchange numbers,” Republican Darrell Issa of California, chairman of the Oversight committee, said in an e-mail from a spokeswoman.
Charles Gaba, a Bloomfield Hills, Michigan-based blogger who backs the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and has accurately forecast enrollment, was among those who found Tavenner’s announcement encouraging. He had predicted enrollment would suffer attrition of about 3 percent per month; Tavenner’s figure suggested the rate was lower, only about 2 percent.
“This is FANTASTIC news,” he wrote at the time.
He said yesterday that he is “appalled” to find out dental plans were included in the figure.

“I really don’t see what the point would be of being misleading about that number,” he said in a phone interview. “Even if it had been 6.9 million, I don’t see that as being a terrible thing.”

ObamaCare in 2015: Premiums and Penalties Up

The Affordable Care Act (ACA), which President Barack Obama once promised would “lower [health insurance] premiums by up to $2,500 for a typical family per year,” is instead going to cost the average family significantly more for coverage next year unless that family switches to another plan — and even then, in many instances, premiums will still increase. So will the penalty for not having coverage, meaning that many Americans will be faced with the unenviable choice of either paying higher premiums or getting smaller income-tax refunds.
Certainly the Obama administration doesn’t consider the rate hikes a positive. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services administrator Marilyn Tavenner’s assertion that the data shows “the Affordable Care is working” notwithstanding, the administration wouldn’t have released that data on Friday, when it would likely get buried in the weekend news cycle, if the White House had wanted to call attention to it.
According to the New York Times, “The data … indicates that price increases will be modest for many people willing to change plans. In a typical county, the price will rise 5 percent for the cheapest silver plan and 4 percent for the second cheapest.” In other words, even if an individual is willing to change plans, his rate will go up — just not as much as it would if he stuck with the same plan.


The paper cited one example based on its analysis of the data:
A 40-year-old in Nashville, with the cheapest midlevel, or silver plan, will pay $220 a month next year, compared to $181 a month this year, for the same plan.
The least expensive plan is offered by another insurer, Community Health Alliance, one of the so-called co-op plans created under the federal law. It offers coverage for a monthly premium of $194.
But the lower premium means that consumers will have to pay a much larger annual deductible, $4,000, rather than $2,000. A policyholder who becomes seriously ill or has a costly chronic condition could pay hundreds of dollars in out-of-pocket expenses.
Other cities and states may not be as fortunate as Nashville. Those with fewer insurers in the exchange can expect steeper rate hikes even for those who change plans. “Prices for the lowest-cost silver plan increased by at least 5 percent in 89 percent of the counties with a single insurer,” the Times found. “About a quarter of counties with one or two insurers saw an increase in rates of more than 10 percent.” That’s because many of last year’s low-cost providers are raising their rates significantly this year (suggesting that many of their new beneficiaries are, as critics predicted, costly to cover), and unless competitors are rushing into an exchange with lower premiums, consumers have little choice but to pay up.
Another investigation into ObamaCare premiums also uncovered significant increases. An Investor’s Business Daily analysis of rates in the largest city in each of 34 states participating in the federal exchange “found that for a 27-year-old earning 250% of the poverty level, the lowest-cost bronze plan, including any subsidies, would rise an average 7%. The lowest-cost silver plan in these 34 cities would rise an average 9%, while the cheapest unsubsidized catastrophic policy would jump almost 18%.”
A study by the Kaiser Family Foundation, however, came to a somewhat different conclusion. The Kaiser report indicates that, on average, premiums for ObamaCare’s benchmark silver plan — the plan on which premium-assistance subsidies are based — are falling by an average of 0.2 percent across 48 major cities. (This being an average, there is wide variation among cities, with some experiencing double-digit rate hikes and others seeing their rates fall by similar percentages.) Kaiser did find, though, that bronze plan rates are on the rise, increasing by 2.7 percent on average.
While the lower silver rates seem like good news, their effect on the subsidies is bad news for anyone getting subsidized coverage under another plan. His subsidy may shrink even if his premium goes up, forcing him either to pay more or to change plans.
Doing without coverage, of course, is not an option under the ACA. In fact, it is much less of an option in 2015 than in 2014 because the penalty for not maintaining coverage is more than tripling next year. In 2014, the penalty for not having coverage was $95 per person or one percent of household income, whichever is greater. In 2015, the penalty jumps to the greater of $395 per person (with children penalized half that amount) or two percent of income, with a maximum under the flat-rate method of $975 per family.
The flat-rate penalty “will affect lower-income or middle-income households,” Laura Adams of InsuranceQuotes.com told CBS News. Some middle-class families, she explained, “may be making enough that they don’t qualify for a subsidy, so they won’t get a break if they are getting health coverage. It’s a big penalty for the middle class for not having insurance.”
“I think a lot of people are going to be in for a shock,” she said.
Those who have already experienced ObamaCare shock are still reeling from it. According to Obama administration enrollment figures, one million people have dropped their exchange coverage since April. A recent Bankrate survey of the remaining enrollees found that over half say they won’t buy exchange coverage next year, with those earning at least $75,000 — and therefore not getting significant subsidies — most likely to jettison coverage. And the October Kaiser Health Tracking Poll found that just 36 percent of Americans have a favorable view of the ACA, while 43 percent have an unfavorable view.
Simply put, Americans have never liked ObamaCare; and as long as the law — as it must — continues to hike insurance rates and to penalize people for making rational financial decisions, they probably never will.

House Finally Files Affordable Care Act Lawsuit Against Obama

Four months after the chamber authorized a lawsuit against President Barack Obama — and on the third try with an attorney after the first two lawyers bailed — the GOP-controlled House has formally filed its case, Speaker John A. Boehner announced Friday.
“Time after time, the president has chosen to ignore the will of the American people and re-write federal law on his own without a vote of Congress,” the Ohio Republican said in a statement. “That’s not the way our system of government was designed to work.
“If this president can get away with making his own laws, future presidents will have the ability to as well. The House has an obligation to stand up for the Constitution, and that is exactly why we are pursuing this course of action,” Boehner said.
The lawsuit specifically challenges two changes Obama has made unilaterally to the 2010 health care law: Delaying, twice, the implementation of the “employer mandate” to offer health insurance to employees, and a cost-sharing program between the administration and insurance companies which Republicans say Congress never approved.
The timing of the lawsuit is notable: It comes less than 24 hours after Obama announced the scale and scope of his executive actions to change immigration laws, which Boehner and other Republicans say is a vast overreach on the part of the White House.
There has been discussion in the House GOP conference about whether to also sue Obama for his immigration orders, and on Friday, a Boehner aide confirmed that it was still something under consideration.

Obama edict raises new questions about benefits for illegal immigrants

When the Affordable Care Act was being written and debated, President Obama took care to emphasize that no illegal immigrants would be eligible for its benefits. Obama and the Democrats who passed the bill were sensitive to public concerns that those who entered the United States illegally should not receive assistance intended for those here legally.

Indeed, an Obama promise along those lines played a role in one of the most notorious incidents of the president's time in office. "There are also those who claim that our reform efforts would insure illegal immigrants," Obama said in a Sept. 9, 2009 healthcare address to a joint session of Congress. "This, too, is false. The reforms I'm proposing would not apply to those who are here illegally."

At that moment, Republican Rep. Joe Wilson yelled out, "You lie!" leaving the president and lawmakers stunned.

Wilson's action was inexcusable, but the suspicions behind it were entirely understandable. Republicans have always suspected the administration wanted to extend not only Obamacare but a whole range of federal benefits to illegal immigrants. And now, the president's unilateral executive action on immigration seems to be confirming some of those fears.

On November 11, Health and Human Services Secretary Sylvia Mathews Burwell participated in an online chat with a group of Latino bloggers. Burwell was asked a two-part question. Would the young immigrants known as Dreamers be eligible for Obamacare subsidies, and can so-called mixed families — for example, a family with illegal parents and legal children — receive benefits?

Dreamers are not eligible, Burwell said. But she left no doubt that she — along with officials at the highest levels of the Obama administration — wants that to change. "I think that everyone probably knows that this administration feels incredibly strongly about the fact we need to fix that," Burwell explained. "We need to reform the system and make the changes that we need that will lead to benefits in everything from healthcare to economics to so many things — a very important step that we need to take as a nation."

Burwell went on to tell the bloggers that families with illegal members are welcome to receive benefits. "Mixed families should come, they should seek and try, go on the site, they'll find out they can get financial assistance," Burwell said. "They may be eligible for different programs for their children or themselves."

Finally, Burwell stressed that no one in the government will ask applicants if they are here legally or not. "Everyone should come on, and folks should not be scared," Burwell said. "No questions will be asked, and it is not about an immigration issue."

Coming from the cabinet officer in charge of administering the Affordable Care Act, Burwell's words left some Republicans convinced that it's only a matter of time before the White House breaks Obama's promise. "It's reasonable to assume that the administration would have no compunction about issuing some sort of regulatory guidance to HHS to make [immigrants affected by Obama's action] eligible for subsidies," says one well-connected GOP Hill aide. "The administration has sufficiently re-interpreted Obamacare and re-interpreted the immigration laws that it would not be at all surprising if they follow through on what Burwell said."

Republican concerns have been intensified by Obama's slippery language about other federal benefits. In announcing executive action, for example, the president said to those affected that if, among other requirements, "you're willing to pay your fair share of taxes," then "you can come out of the shadows and get right with the law."

The phrase "pay your fair share of taxes" suggests to most ears that Obama meant immigrants involved would pay their fair share of taxes. But in fact Obama's action will make many immigrants eligible to be paid by the government, and not the other way around; many will now be eligible for the Earned Income Tax Credit and the Additional Child Tax Credit, which could mean they receive thousands of taxpayer dollars each year.

In addition, Obama's use of the phrase "get right with the law" is itself a bit misleading; a reasonable listener might assume that Obama was conferring legal status on those involved. But the Justice Department issued an opinion that his programs "would not 'legalize' any aliens who are unlawfully present in the United States." So the illegal immigrants involved are still illegal immigrants, which leads to the question: If Obama is making millions of still-illegal immigrants newly eligible for certain federal benefits, why would anyone believe he will stop there?


It's not clear exactly how far-reaching the effects of Obama's immigration edict will be. But there's no doubt it has increased the already high level of mistrust between the president and Republicans on Capitol Hill.

A series of explosive videos recently emerged featuring one of the Obamacare architects, Jonathan Gruber, explaining how a lack of transparency was implemented to pass the controversial health control law.


In another video, filmed at Noblis in January of 2012, Gruber explains the biggest threat to the law’s survival, and essentially what can be done to collapse the law all together.


Beginning at the 27:08 mark in the following video, Gruber says, “….If the mandate is struck the law basically caves in….If you get rid of this mandate, this law becomes much less effective.”
