When the storm surge comes ashore, and it will, (It's just a matter of when, not if.)
we'll check back to see how funny you think it is then.

The people in New York didn't think it was going to happen to them either.

In Florida they are mocked because it is a farce; we go to the beach daily.. in the winter we go to the beach because this is the tropics where a mid winter day is 70 degree's

Thats NORMAL for South Florida before anyone screams global warming

In Califorinia where global warming was bought into lock stock and barrel and carbon emmissions are taxed it is reverred.

While some root for global warming others dismiss it as a farse and a means to tax America and give it to the U.N.

In the mean time I'll keep pulling up the truth and discrediting fraud science ... I refuse to pay for government to tax people; when government officials push fraud as the truth

and if a wall of water comes I'm pretty sure it will come from a Sunomi which is far more likely to happen

I used to live in the West Palm area and know hurricanes are far more likely than a tsunami.

Florida Geological Survey - Hazards - Tsunamis,

The possibility of a tsunami impacting the Atlantic or Gulf Coasts of Florida is considered to be remote. This is because most tsunamis are associated with major earthquakes. The Atlantic Ocean basin is not ringed by large faults as is the Pacific, which is associated both with earthquakes and tsunamis. It is thought that rare underwater landslides would pose a greater risk in the Atlantic Ocean. The Caribbean region has a history of both earthquakes and tsunamis. They do not appear to have impacted Florida's coastlines. However because of the horrific tsunami that impacted South East Asia in December 2004 and in recognition of the fact that a tsunami occurrence is possible, the Federal government has decided to expand its warning system to include the Atlantic and Gulf Coasts of the United States.

Although it is highly unlikely that a tsunami will impact Florida, it is not impossible. Floridians may also travel to locations where tsunamis are more likely. It is vital to know (and instruct children) that if the ocean suddenly recedes from the shore do not stand and stare. It is necessary immediately to run uphill or away from the shore and go to the highest location possible which may mean up the stairs of a substantial building. Everyone should be aware that no matter where in the world they are, if the sea is observed to recede from the shore, they should immediately run for high ground.

General information on various aspects of tsunamis may be found at the following site: http://earthquake.usgs.gov/learning/topi…

Information concerning practical aspects of preparing for tsunamis may be found at: http://www.fema.gov/hazard/tsunami/index…

Interviews of tsunami survivors who tell of the circumstances that led to their survival may be found at this site: Surviving A Tsunami—Lessons from Chile, Hawaii, and Japan

    What Causes Tsunamis
    http://www.nws.noaa.gov/om/brochures/tsu…
Tsunamis, also called seismic sea waves or, incorrectly, tidal waves, generally are caused by earthquakes, less commonly by submarine landslides, infrequently by submarine volcanic eruptions and very rarely by a large meteorite impact in the ocean. Submarine volcanic eruptions have the potential to produce truly awesome tsunami waves. The Great Krakatau Volcanic Eruption of 1883 generated giant waves reaching heights of 125 feet above sea-level, killing thousands of people and wiping out numerous coastal villages.

The 1992 Nicaragua tsunami may have been the result of a "slow" earthquake comprised of very long-period movement occurring beneath the sea floor. This earthquake generated a devastating tsunami with localized damage to coastal communities in Nicaragua.

Not all earthquakes generate tsunamis. To generate tsunamis, earthquakes must occur underneath or near the ocean, be large and create movements in the sea floor. All oceanic regions of the world can experience tsunamis, but in the Pacific Ocean there is a much more frequent occurrence of large, destructive tsunamis because of the many large earthquakes along the margins of the Pacific Ocean.

And it gets cold enough in Florida to freeze the oranges and sometimes kill the trees.

    January 10, 2010, 6:04 p.m. ET

Florida Orange Growers Brace for Possible Killing Freeze

    • By TOM SELLEN

Florida orange growers are bracing for possible crop damage as an arctic blast plunges temperatures to record lows Saturday and Sunday nights.

Sleet and snow mixed with rain has been reported Saturday from the Tampa Bay area to near and north of Orlando, the first time snow or sleet has occurred in west-central Florida since Jan. 8, 1996, the National Weather Service in Tampa said.

      Associated Press
Icicles hang from an orange tree after it was sprayed with water throughout the night in Plant City, Fla., earlier this week. The water was sprayed to protect the other plants in the nursery from cold weather in the state.

The immediate Tampa Bay area hasn't seen snow since Dec. 23, 1989.

While citrus growers fared well on Friday night as temperatures remained above critical levels in the heart of the citrus belt, worries are intensifying as a strong high pressure system bears down on the area.

The NWS has issued a freeze warning for much of central and southern Florida from 9 p.m. EST Saturday to 9 a.m. EST on Sunday, meaning temperatures are expected to dip from 27 F to 32 F for three or more hours over a widespread area.

Citrus sustains damage when the mercury falls below 28 degrees Fahrenheit for three or more hours.

"We will undoubtedly suffer some damage to this season's crop tomorrow [Sunday] a.m. and again on Monday a.m.," said Fran Becker, president of Lakeland-based Florida Citrus Mutual and vice president of fruit procurement for Peace River Citrus Products Inc. in Arcadia, Fla.

He anticipates the cold will target the fruit, and that the trees themselves will not suffer widespread harm.

Readings of 24 F or below for any stretch of time will begin to kill the leaves, particularly the young ones, Mr. Becker explained. Readings in the teens, which he does not expect, would produce significant tree damage.

Parts of Florida are being hit with snow flurries, sleet, and temperatures dropping down to the 30s. Video courtesy of Fox News.

Temperatures in the Sunshine State have run 10 to 30 degrees below normal this week.

Florida's citrus industry has been under extreme pressure to start the year owing to the freezing temperatures, which have so far caused only isolated damage to the 2009-10 orange crop. Prices for frozen concentrated orange juice futures have gained 17% amid fears that crop damage could be substantial, something that hasn't happened in two decades.

Orange juice prices at the supermarket have not risen due to the cold snap but would be expected to appreciate if a widespread freeze affects the crop.

While Florida does grow fresh fruit of the peel-and-eat variety, it is predominantly a juice market. About 95% of the state's orange output is crushed into juice.

Florida's main citrus belt lies south of the Interstate 4 corridor that runs from Tampa Bay on the gulf side of the state, through Orlando and up to Daytona Beach on the Atlantic Coast.

Readings near the coasts are expected to fall to around 30 F, but inland areas will likely see mid-20s F readings for six to 10 hours, the NWS said.

"The only areas that may escape freezing temperatures are long the immediate Gulf Coast and around Tampa Bay and Charlotte Harbor," the NWS said.

The coldest readings are expected to remain in place Sunday night, with long durations of subfreezing temperatures likely.

Orange growers continue to irrigate their groves during the worst of the cold to help lift the temperature by a few critical degrees. The ice that is formed will help to protect the trunk and lower branches of the trees.

Growers also continue to harvest as much of the early orange crop as possible before the cold has a chance to affect the fruit.

Recent historically low global tropical cyclone activity

    Key Points
    • In the past 5-years, global tropical cyclone activity has decreased markedly
    • Tropical cyclone ACE is modulated by ENSO and PDO on a global scale
    • Heightened North Atlantic hurricane activity is not unexpected

    Ryan N. Maue
Center for Ocean and Atmosphere Studies, Department of Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Science, Florida State University, Tallahassee, Florida, USA

Tropical cyclone accumulated cyclone energy (ACE) has exhibited strikingly large global interannual variability during the past 40-years. In the pentad since 2006, Northern Hemisphere and global tropical cyclone ACE has decreased dramatically to the lowest levels since the late 1970s. Additionally, the global frequency of tropical cyclones has reached a historical low. Here evidence is presented demonstrating that considerable variability in tropical cyclone ACE is associated with the evolution of the character of observed large-scale climate mechanisms including the El Niño Southern Oscillation and Pacific Decadal Oscillation. In contrast to record quiet North Pacific tropical cyclone activity in 2010, the North Atlantic basin remained very active by contributing almost one-third of the overall calendar year global ACE.

    2012 Atlantic hurricane season

The 2012 Atlantic hurricane season was an extremely active and destructive Atlantic hurricane season, tied with 1887, 1995, 2010, and 2011 as the third most active year in recorded history. Producing nineteen tropical cyclones and named storms, ten hurricanes, and one major hurricane, the season began on June 1 and ended on November 30, dates which conventionally delimit the period during which most tropical cyclones form in the Atlantic Ocean.

The season's first tropical cyclone, Tropical Storm Alberto, developed on May 19, while the last storm, Tropical Storm Tony, dissipated on October 25. The most intense hurricane, Sandy, was a powerful Category 2 hurricane that brought significant damage to portions of the Greater Antilles and East Coast of the United States in October 2012, causing damages in upwards to 65 billion dollars. Many records were tied or broken during the 2012 season: Tropical Storm Beryl became the strongest off-season Atlantic tropical cyclone to ever strike the United States on record, the formation of Tropical Storm Debby on June 23 made it the earliest formation of a season's fourth named storm on record, Hurricane Sandy was the largest known Atlantic hurricane by gale diameter on record, and Hurricane Nadine was the fifth longest-lived tropical cyclone on record. In addition, May 2012 was tied with May 1887 for most number of named storms in the month, at two, and August 2012 was tied with August 2004, September 2002, and September 2010 for most number of named storms in a particular month, at eight. Despite the high number of hurricanes during the 2012 season, only one, Hurricane Michael, attained major hurricane intensity—a Category 3 or higher on the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale.

Pre-season forecasts by the Colorado State University (CSU) called for 10 named storms and 4 hurricanes, of which two were expected to further attain major hurricane status. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) issued its first forecast over a month later, predicting 9 to 15 named storms, 4 to 8 hurricanes, and 1 to 3 major hurricanes. Following the falter of the previously predicted El Niño and a record active start to the season, both agencies raised their overall totals for the season; these predictions still fell short of the actual numbers by the end of the year.

Well over half of the tropical cyclones that developed in the season made landfall or directly impacted land. Hurricanes Sandy and Isaac were the deadliest and most destructive, with the former causing at least $65.6 billion (2012 USD) in damage—the second costliest hurricane in recorded history—and 253 deaths, and the latter causing an estimated $2.3 billion and 41 deaths. Other notable storms during the season include Tropical Storm Debby and Hurricane Ernesto. Debby was a slow-moving, poorly-organized tropical storm that came ashore in Florida during June 2012, causing a little less than $500 million in damage and 7 fatalities. Ernesto was a long-tracked Category 2 hurricane that ultimately made landfall near Belize in early August 2012, killing 12 total and producing a damage total of $252.2 million. The combined storms during the entire season killed at least 328 people and caused at least $68 billion in damage, making it the deadliest since 2008, and the costliest since 2005.

New IPCC Climate Fraud Evidence Leaked Along with Geoengineering Admissions

Rouge report participant leaks IPCC document 9 months in advance – disclosing admissions of geoengineering and climate fraud.

    By Shepard Ambellas
    theintelhub.com
    December 17, 2012

The IPCC’s (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s) 5th Assessment Report due for release in September of 2013, has now been leaked publicly over 9 months in advance on an internet publication called Stop Green Suicide.

One of the reports 800 expert reviewers, a man by the name of Alex Rawls, apparently leaked the report and is backing it with written evidence that cosmic rays are actually the cause of climate change and warming patterns, thus possibly blowing the lid off the whole entire global warming fraud pushed by figureheads such as Al Gore and others.

    An excerpt by Leo Hickman reads;

The IPCC, which confirmed the draft is genuine, said in a statement: “The IPCC regrets this unauthorized posting which interferes with the process of assessment and review.

We will continue not to comment on the contents of draft reports, as they are works in progress.”

Climate skeptics have heralded the sentence – which they interpret as meaning that cosmic rays could have a greater warming influence on the planet than mankind’s emissions – as “game-changing”.

Hopefully others involved with the report will speak out and more information will be released to the public.

Note: If you take time to read through the entire report and notice anything we missed, please feel free to comment on the article below and we will update the article.
