I live in Japan. Fortunately I am retired from the USAF and receive excellent and free medical care via 3 U.S. military hospitals here in Japan. Additionally, I have Japanese coverage to use Japanese hospitals with a 30% payment I would have to make. I have only had to go to a Japanese hospital once for Chiropractic and it was superb. Only cost me $8 for each 1 hour visit except for $25 on the first visit.

But back to their Government care, I hear often times that ambulances are turned away because their are not enough Japanese hospitals and/or doctors available. Is this what the U.S. has to look forward to?

I am basically covered but I am really concerned for my parents and the elderly (and upcoming elderly, i.e. baby boomers)
