I can tell you exactly why I got a hand gun and a CCL... 9 out of 10 homes in my neighborhood are now occupied by illegals! I have a big dog (Newfoundland) who is overly protective, but one guy threatened my dog. I told him "You touch my dog and you're dead". At the time all I had was a hunting rifle, and I can't be carrying that around...LOL! So I called the Sheriff, he was the one who told me get a hand gun and a CCL. "We have it on record now that you felt threatened and made a report, so if he bothers you again you know what to do." is what he told and he left that hanging...

Gerard Celente of the Trends Research Institute recommends being armed for self defense, and reports that weapons sales are up. I took his advice a couple of years ago after participating in some anti-illegal alien rallies, I had never owned a gun before in my life.
