HILLARY CLINTON: Part of the reason I was so adamant about including women and girls in our foreign policy, not as a luxury but as a central issue is because they're often the canaries in the mine. You watch women and girls being deprived of their rights, some of them never have them, some of them lose them. And among those rights is control over their bodies, control over their own health care, control over the size of their families.

And It is a disturbing trend that you see in a lot of societies that are very unstable, anti-democratic, and frankly prone to extremism. Where women and women’s bodies are used as the defining and unifying issue to bring together people, men, to get them to, you know, behave in ways that are disadvantageous to women but which prop up them because of their religion, their sect, their tribe, whatever.

So to introduce this element into our society -- look, we're always going to argue about abortion. It's a hard choice and it's controversial and that's why I'm pro-choice because I want people to make their own choices. And it is very troubling that a salesclerk at Hobby Lobby, who needs contraception, which is pretty expensive, is not going to get that service through her employer’s health care plan because her employer doesn’t think she should be using contraception. Did you know that Hobby Lobby actually provides their employees with 16 out of the 20 different types of contraception? Did you know that Hobby Lobby has no moral or religious objection to most forms of birth control, only those that are abortion related, like the morning after pill?

But that would make Sandra Fluke a liar. It can’t be true!

That claim is completely false. Not to mention, Hobby Lobby itself provides coverage of 16 different types of contraception to its employees.
The Green family has no moral objection to the use of 16 of 20 preventive contraceptives required in the mandate, and Hobby Lobby will continue its longstanding practice of covering these preventive contraceptives for its employees.However, the Green family cannot provide or pay for four potentially life-threatening drugs and devices. These drugs include Plan B and Ella, the so-called morning-after pill and the week-after pill. Covering these drugs and devices would violate their deeply held religious belief that life begins at the moment of conception, when an egg is fertilized.
Facts matter, but to the left, emotion on this issue wins.

The fact that the left has demagogued this issue so hard proves they really don’t have a valid argument here. It’s strictly an emotion based argument.
