Funny thing about the message is that I agree with them both.
Mods, the language is to emphasize a deep discourse in the US that needs to happen.

I'd like to get along with everyone, but some people are just toxic.

Quick story:

Back in the 90s my future brother in law graduated college and landed a sweet, high paying job. He had a new Benz and we got stopped for sure. The cop was looking for a reason. He stated some infraction for the stop to quell any suspicion on our parts.
I'll never forget what the cop said, "This is a Class C misdemeanor, and it looks like you can afford it" as he was checking out the new car with after market rims.
I told him he should fight it. He declined.
That cop was envious...
