'Please join Britainy and me as we pray for their families during this difficult time,' he added.

Two flood victims - a man and a woman - were found dead inside their Richmond home.

The Madison County coroner’s office said floodwaters quickly filled the streets in the area and left residents trapped in their homes.

Another victim was pulled from a vehicle trapped in perilous floodwaters on Tates Creek Road near Lexington, according to the coroner’s office.

Rescue crews were on the scene going door to door, scouting out victims in the most affected areas, Deputy Madison County Coroner Carlos Coyle said.

Coyle added that some areas hit the hardest by the storms were unable to be accessed.

Earlier Saturday, Beshear said on social media floodwaters inundated major routes, noting there were 'significant roads underwater.'

The governor also said at least 12 state roads were 'out of commission' due to flooding.

'This is a serious flooding event, where teams have already had to conduct multiple water rescues from vehicles and homes across the commonwealth,' he said in a separate statement.

'As more heavy rain continues through late tonight, we need folks to remain alert and to avoid driving, especially after dark when there is limited visibility,' Beshear added.

In northwest Kentucky near Louisville, Bullitt County emergency officials told residents on a rural road to evacuate as a precaution after a landslide at a dam embankment.

Several major wildfires burned across the western U.S. this weekend. Utah declared a state of emergency as scorching heat fueled the flames. Adam Yamaguchi reports and Andrew Kozak has the forecast.

The President gave a 30-minute speech last week at the Great American State Fair, boasting about his administration's accomplishments heading into the nation's 250th birthday.

Images from Trump's talk showed a sparsely attended event, while footage captured attendees leaving in the middle of it.

Trump was 'livid' after viewing aerial photos of the crowd. He was reportedly not aware of the low attendance while on stage.

According to CNN, the visual bothered the President so much that he immediately ordered all White House accounts to delete their posts and began lashing out on social media, claiming the crowds were 'packed to the brim.'

White House officials have also begun to attack each other privately over Trump's scheduled speech on Saturday, when temperatures are expected to exceed 100 degrees.

'I do not understand why we are doing this so late,' a source told CNN. 'I’m really not sure who thought this was a good idea.'

The Daily Mail has contacted the White House for comment.

The President on Wednesday reaffirmed his commitment to give a 'really long speech' in the smoldering heat.

'On July 4, it’s going to be approximately 107 degrees out, and I’m going to go, and I’m going to make a really long speech just to show that I can do anything,' Trump said.

Strict security measures from the Secret Service and DC police also limited the event's overall appeal, as attendees were prevented from bringing food or water bottles into the area.

When the Daily Mail visited the fair over the weekend, there were visitors fuming at the prices of hot dogs and sodas. Children could be seen crying over limited shade and few designated areas for relaxing.

Food tents were set up throughout the National Mall serving hot dogs, cheeseburgers, and pizza.

However, anyone wanting a bottle of water had to be prepared to shell out $5.

Up until now, when it comes to real estate, Blackstone was best known in recent years for dumping many of its trophy office properties - which in the aftermath of work from home never recovered their projected cash flow potential - at a huge discount. Now, it may be pulling a page from its old, pre-Lehman playbook by calling the top in yet another commercial real estate segment: data centers.

Two days ago we reported that Blackstone was selling its stakes in a trio of data centers across Northern Virginia for $3.5 billion, cashing out of part of a bet it made less than three years ago. According to Bloomberg, Digital Realty Trust would pay $1.2 billion of cash and offer $2.3 billion of its shares (which the PE giant has largely cashed in by now) to Blackstone funds; in exchange, the data center company will acquire Blackstone’s 80% interest in two 96-megawatt data centers in Manassas, Virginia, and a 50% interest in a 96-megawatt center in nearby Sterling.

We said that "the question is why did Blackstone decide to pull the cord now, just as fresh doubts are creeping whether the Mag 7s will continue funding the AI expansion with virtually unlimited capex."

Two days later we have an answer.

The digital ink is barely dry on its Virginia data center sales, and we learn that Blackstone’s QTS (QTS Realty Trust) is again quietly fading its AI exposure by walking away from plans to build its portion (which at this point is the only portion left after its partner already pulled out days ago) of a 2,100-acre data center campus in Virginia - also known as Prince William Digital Gateway which would house as many as 37 data-center buildings - handing a win to residents who fought for years to topple the project.

The data center developer had planned to transform more than 800 acres in Northern Virginia’s Prince William County, a project that would have spanned 22 million square feet, making it the largest data center campus in the world. Located on the edge of an historic Civil War battlefield and on what used to be land protected from development, the project ignited strong pushback from homeowners and has been stalled by lawsuits.

As part of Wall Street’s broader push into data centers, investment has poured into Northern Virginia, which is considered the country’s largest data center market, and is better known as "Data Center Alley"

But in a strategic U-turn, in recent days QTS executives decided that it isn’t worth pressing forward in court, the Bloomberg sources said. The firm’s attorneys plan to inform the court of their decision as soon as this week, the people said, asking not to be named discussing non-public information.

QTS’s rapid growth has made it a poster child of how private equity has fueled the data center industry’s breakneck expansion. Those ambitions are colliding with public anxiety over strains to electricity grids and home prices from AI data centers.

The retreat may be the final blow to Virginia’s “Digital Gateway” project, a mega site roughly twice the size of New York’s Central Park with city-sized power needs. The initiative was supposed to bring in some $100 billion in spending and create one of the world’s largest technology corridors. Not any more.

The project had sparked contentious, drawn-out public hearings. A clerical blunder related to a key zoning meeting created setbacks for developers. Already, Brookfield-backed Compass Datacenters, which was supposed to build on more than 800 acres at the site, had pulled out in May.

The U-turns by both firms, Bloomberg writes, amount to one of the most dramatic retreats by developers from a data center project.

It’s a reminder of how tech firms’ race for the computing infrastructure to support AI advances is increasingly facing the same bottlenecks, from power shortages to supply crunches, we have been warning about for the past two years and which Citadel Securities warned about just yesterday.

Organized opposition is mounting, forcing firms and developers to be more deliberate about where they choose to build. This is precisely what we warned one year ago would happen as more grassroots organizations pushed back against the relentless data center rollout. At least we haven't gotten to the arson stage (yet).

Shelter In Place: Massive fire in Parkersburg, West Virginia Has Spread to Three Warehouses

It is happening at the Peoples Cartage, Inc warehouse on Camden Avenue. People in the area are being asked to shelter in place.

The shelter-in-place included the area from Route 50 to Interstate 77 and from Camden Avenue to 7th Street.

Everyone is also asked to avoid the area.

Wood County Emergency Management says the fire initially started on Saturday at 11:00 am when cardboard boxes caught fire. Three warehouses are now involved.

The fire was stopped when crews left on Saturday and restarted on Sunday morning.

Officials say they have not been able to get it under control.

The Wood County Mobile Command Unit, WVU Medicine, West Virginia State Police, Wood County Sheriff, and multiple fire departments from Wood County are on the scene.

The Kyiv Independent reported that the first explosions were heard at about 1:40 am local time, followed by more strikes at 2:10 am and 3:15 am.

The depot, located in the town of Vyshneve, was hit during the night, with explosions continuing into the morning. Authorities advised residents to remain indoors and keep their windows closed, while many fled the area amid fears of possible contamination.

Khamenei was set to be buried in his hometown, the holy city of Mashhad, on Thursday, but the burial was delayed as strikes rang out nearby.

Iranian state media also said a railway bridge in the Golestan province had been hit while the Revolutionary Guard reported two bridges had been attacked.

Explosions were also reported in several Gulf nations on Wednesday night, as Iran claimed it attacked US bases in neighboring countries in retaliation.

Trump had previewed potential strikes at a NATO summit in Ankara earlier on Wednesday.

Hundreds of terrified children were airlifted to safety by Black Hawk military helicopters as raging floodwaters engulfed a summer camp in Missouri.

Torrential rain unleashed what forecasters have described as a once-in-a-millennium flooding event which swallowed roads and structures.

As the waters continued to rise on Friday, there were fears of a repeat of last summer's devastating Camp Mystic tragedy in Texas - where 25 campers, two counselors and the camp's executive director lost their lives.

This time the unfolding emergency centered on Camp Taum Sauk in Reynolds County, where surging floodwaters from the Black River trapped hundreds of campers and staff after roads into the remote camp disappeared beneath fast-moving water.

By Friday afternoon, the Missouri Army National Guard had launched Black Hawk helicopters to evacuate approximately 200 campers and counselors, ferrying them to a nearby elementary school where relieved parents finally embraced their children.

Jennifer Box, whose two sons were attending Camp Taum Sauk, said the first reports of flash flooding immediately made her think of the Camp Mystic disaster.

'It was very harrowing,' Box said to the New York Times after receiving an email Friday morning confirming the children had been moved to higher ground as a precaution.

'We knew they were safe, but we didn't know how to get to them, and that's kind of your worst nightmare.'
