Another devout Muslim convert who wants to kill, blow up houses of worship, etc. So many converts to Islam get involved in jihad. This shows the falsity of the mainstream narrative that jihad has nothing to do with Islam. Why do mosques have so much difficulty training converts in the proper understanding of Islam, if jihad terror is a misunderstanding of Islam?

Notice the media silence on this. If a piece of bacon is left outside a mosque, Obama takes to the airwaves. Think Clockboy. But a synagogue bomb plot? *Crickets chirping.*

James Gonzalo Medina says he wanted to become a martyr by attacking a synagogue in Florida.

A Florida man has been charged with attempting to damage a Jewish synagogue in addition to his previous indictment of attempting to use a weapon of mass destruction against a person or property.



The new charge was filed against James Gonzalo Medina, 40, of Hollywood, Florida, on June 30 following an initial charge on May 2 of targeting the Aventura-Turnberry Jewish Center in Aventura, Florida.

If convicted, Medina faces life imprisonment.

His arrest was made through an undercover operation of the South Florida Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF).

Medina is accused of attempting to use an explosive device to destroy the synagogue.

Last March, Medina became the subject of surveillance by the FBI due to his conversations about attacking the Jewish centre.

Using confidential human source, the FBI was able to determine Medina’s plan where he expressed anti-Semitic views and identified the synagogue as his target.

The complaint said Medina wanted to use an explosive device to commit the attack. Medina allegedly studied the synagogue property to assess how he would carry out the attack.

Last April 29, Medina was caught in possession of an explosive device and was arrested while approaching the centre.

During his court appearance last May, the suspect told U.S. magistrate Judge William Turnoff, “I’ve got a few words of my own. … My name is James Medina, also known as James Muhammad,” according to the Sun Sentinel.

Prosecutor Marc Anton told the court that Medina had “interest in conducting an attack” on the synagogue by “obtaining a bomb he could either place under a car or throw it over the wall.”

Medina told investigators that he converted to Islam about four years and that he wanted the attack to look like it was done by the Islamic State or ISIS.

The suspect also told acquaintances that he wanted to make himself a “martyr” though the attack.
Medina also recorded videos to say goodbye to his family and make threats.

Synagogue bomb plot suspect facing additional charge

The Broward County man accused of plotting to bomb an Aventura synagogue earlier this year was indicted Thursday on an additional federal charge.

James Gonzalo Medina, 40, of Hollywood, faces a maximum of life in federal prison if he is convicted of the new charge, attempting to damage religious property, and the original charge, attempting to use a weapon of mass destruction, a fake bomb.

Medina has been jailed without bond since he was arrested April 29 as he walked from a car to Aventura Turnberry Jewish Center with a fake bomb that he thought was real, according to the FBI and the South Florida Joint Terrorism Task Force.

Medina, who is locked up at the federal detention center in downtown Miami, pleaded not guilty to the initial charge in May. He is expected to plead not guilty to the new charge in the next few weeks.

His trial was recently postponed to January after his lawyer requested more time to review the evidence in the case and examine Medina's history of mental health problems.

Assistant Federal Public Defender Eric Cohen also requested the delay because of publicity surrounding the recent terrorist shooting massacre in Orlando by Omar Mateen.

"Certainly, in the aftermath of the recent incident in Orlando, impaneling a fair and impartial jury to consider purported "terrorist" activity will be impossible in the immediate future," Cohen wrote in court records.

Authorities said they began an undercover investigation of Medina in March after they received information that he was planning to shoot people in the synagogue.

During the course of the sting, which involved an undercover witness and an undercover FBI agent, investigators said Medina switched plans and intended to use a bomb to attack the synagogue. Agents said they supplied him with a hoax bomb and arrested him when he tried to plant it.
