New Fuel for Local Papers: Medical Marijuana Ads

COLORADO SPRINGS — When it hit the streets here last week, the latest issue of ReLeaf, a pullout supplement to The Colorado Springs Independent devoted to medical marijuana, landed with a satisfying thud.

Forty-eight pages in all, it was stuffed with advertisements for businesses with names like Mile High Mike’s, Happy Buddah and the Healthy Connections (which enticed potential customers with promises of “naughty nursesâ€

I wonder how high the taxes will go for this stuff, it has many of the same health hazards as tobacco so the taxes will probably get pretty steep.

My neighbor pointed out an ad for "medical" marijuana in a local weekly paper.
There were joints for $10, 10 machine rolled filter tip joints in a tin with a pretty picture on it for $89.99,
1/8 oz. 1/4 oz. 1/2 oz, 1oz., 1/8 pound and 1/4 pound prices (which I don't recall). And 1/2 pound for $1,995.

Since "medical" marijuana is for "personal use" only, I guess the person who buys a 1/2 pound must have a lot of "medical" problems.
