GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP, New Jersey (AP) -- Gov. Jon S. Corzine was injured Thursday evening when his motorcade was involved in a wreck, but a spokesman said his injuries were not considered life-threatening.

A trooper also was injured. Details on the crash, which happened shortly after 6 p.m. on the Garden State Parkway, were not immediately available.

"We can confirm the governor's two-car motorcade was involved in an accident tonight, and he was injured," spokesman Anthony Coley said. "His injuries are not considered life-threatening, and we are trying to determine if anyone else was injured."

The governor was taken to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, an operator at the hospital confirmed.

I hope they catch the hit and run driver. He is pretty banged up and he is known to not wear his seat belt

Well then, in NJ it's AGAINST THE LAW not to wear your seat belt.

Guess the jerk will have to get ticketed for BREAKING THE LAW, if in fact he did break the law.

A little poetic justice would be in order should the culprit in the red truck be an ILLEGAL. Considering corzine LOVES ILLEGALS.

Sis, I was thinking the same thing. Wonder if the driver was illegal?

He sounds pretty banged up. His thigh bone came through his leg, broken ribs, chest bones, breathing machine, what a mess..
