Now this can't possibly be a surprise. Still it must be scheduled between vacations and campaign trips.
From The Hill....
President Obama will host an iftar -- the special evening meal observed during Ramadan -- on Friday night in the White House dining room.
Obama participated in a similar gathering last year (shown here).
Celebrations like iftar dinners "remind us of the principles that we hold in common, and Islam's role in advancing justice, progress, tolerance and the dignity of all human beings," Obama wrote in a statement Wednesday.

OMG this POTUS is a freaking nightmare. I guess the 3,000 innocent people who died on 9-11 mean nothing to him. The Quoran says it's ok to lie if it furthers thier religious agenda. Anyone who thinks they can be reasoned with needs to read "Because They Hate" by Bridgitte Gabriel.
Sorry, but I don't trust a muslim as far as I could throw one. The mosque in NY will be cranking out terrorists right under Ground Zero. Look at whats' happening in the UK.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

It is about time considering the Christian ceremonies held there and now Jewish ceremonies are being celebrated there as well. It is high time that Islamic ceremonies are held there considering the Islamic contribution to the United States including the movement for immigration enforcement.

Where is there evidence that Muslims, as a group, are battling illegal immigration?

JohnnyYuma,
There is not individuals are, can you say that Christians as a group are battling illegal immigration obviously no. Does that mean if your denomination calls for amnesty you should not be able to live here, no.I support enforcement and see its lack as bad for the 3rd World as well. I just asked if there was evidence. I didn't mean anything negative by the question. The U.S is founded upon a Judeo-Christian code of ethics though. Not a Muslim code of ethics. So it would be moreso commonplace to host both Christian, and Jewish traditions in America, rather than Muslim.

Peace between the Christians and the Muslims works well under a tyrannical government. Beyond that things are shaky at best.
There is free will, then there is submission. Kind of like oil and vinegar, hard to mix for any lenght of time.
We need new gatekeepers, something is not right about this new gift.

Is Turkey and Iran as Gracious to Christians, as America is to Muslims, is a good question.
