Obama Should Have Chosen Words More Carefully

Obama says regrets remark in racially charged case
    Fri Jul 24, 2009 2:55pm EDT

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Barack Obama said on Friday he should have chosen his words more carefully when he said police "acted stupidly" in arresting a prominent black Harvard scholar, touching off a debate over race.

Obama made his comments after talking on the telephone to Sgt. James Crowley, the Cambridge, Massachusetts, police officer who made the arrest, and discussing inviting Crowley and Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates to the White House for a beer.

"Because this has been ratcheting up and I obviously helped to contribute ratcheting it up, I wanted to make clear in my choice of words I think I unfortunately gave an impression that I was maligning the Cambridge Police Department or Sgt. Crowley specifically," Obama said. "And I could have calibrated those words differently."

Damn straight. Should have kept quiet about it to begin with! Another lesson hopefully learned by our very inexperienced "president".

The more I hear Obama speak the more I notice he DOES NOT like criticisms!

No kidding! Boy, for someone who has been touted as being brilliant, Obama sure has away of putting his foot in his mouth. I would have expected more from someone with his apparent credentials....

So in a sense, he applogizes, but then again, we know how he really feels. The liberals in general play the race card any way they can. The professor, being an educated man, could have dealt with his situation a lot better, but acted like a child and played the race card. The race card is a wild card when you don't have any other legitimate argument.

I guess we all have a new word to use if we say something we regret.

Sorry...I need to recalibrate my words here...

Clever, cause not completely sure what he means.

Obama made time for his off topic message at a healthcare conference. He made certain the question got asked about an arrest in MA. Calibrated means that he attempted to make a targeted message or pitch. I think he made a poor attempt at playing the race card to send opponents of his healthcare takeover skittering. Seems it didn't work as expected. I'm tired of these race bating bastards. Looking like all civilized America has had enough!

Obama's remarks were inexcusable. He did it on purpose to demoralize cops across this country and send a message to law enforcement about arresting minorities. You notice he didn't apologize, that's because he's not sorry. His act was intentional to keep the people in this country divided.

The cop, a 25 yr veteran said later, that the perps actions and statemnet, his cries of racism seemed "odd" They were odd because the cops instincts told him they seemed "odd. He was right. The actions were odd, because they were ot natural. They were staged.

Now Wonder Boy will bring the nation together. He will fix this mess that was created for him. JMHO
