We don't have to protect ourselves from an outside invader, we have to protect ourselves from our own government.
"Food Safety Enhancement Act," or HR 2749: Amends the federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act to implement increased federal jurisdiction over the production of food. Food facilities would be required to pay annual fee for registration. Additionally, it requires operators of food facilities to create food safety plans and conduct hazard analyses, implement preventative controls and maintain records of monitoring. If food is not manufactured, processed, packed, transported or held under conditions that don't meet federal standards, food is considered adulterated. The act establishes food tracing and laboratory testing requirements. It also implements a national public education program on food safety. Movement of food within a state may be prohibited or restricted. This act passed the House on July 29, 2009, and has been referred to the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions.

Kittley calls the act a federal food takeover aimed at controlling the nation's food supply.

"This bill, along with the plant variety protection legislation, is a very real threat to the food supply system of the nation," he said. "This is a stealth bill that has very real consequences should the Senate approve it."

SNOPES classifies this as "MOSTLY FALSE".

Read the interesting facts for yourself.

However, the article from The Christian Science Monitor quoted by SNOPES states that the changes being made by the Obama Administration are based on "United Nations based principles", which would indicate that this is yet another incidence where they are interjecting "global" guidelines and regulations into an situation to overrule our own former exclusively American ones. Like false hair, a small implant here, a small implant there, and soon the "false" or "foreign hair" (or regulations and/or laws) has grown together to replace the original, native growth!

This sounds way too much like FDR's National Industrial Recovery Act. A pyramid of governmental control that was found unConstitutional by the Supreme Court.

President Barack Obama Fishing Ban: True Or Fake?

    By Sayantika, Gaea News Network
    March 10th, 2010 more images

more imagesWASHINGTON (GaeaTimes.com)- The news that President Barack Obama has decided to ban fishing in the country has shocked many people who are fond of fishing. Some of the news sources reported that the administration of the United States is considering about a law that would prohibit people from fishing in the water bodies of the country, including the oceans. As per the reports, the news of President Barack Obama’s decision to implement the fishing ban has not received support from people and many of them had expressed their opinion in the social networking sites.

Though the initial reports indicated that President Barack Obama is considering about a law that would ban fishing in the country, later reports indicated that they were not completely true. Some of the major media outlets later reported that the administration might support the fishing ban in Bluefin Tuna. It has been reported that the worldwide ban on fishing as well as trading of tuna might become applicable in the United States. However, there is no official confirmation of the news.

According to the reports, the population of tuna has declined sharply in the recent days and President Barack Obama might have decided to support the ban of tuna fishing for saving these species from becoming extinct. However, this does not indicate that President Barack Obama has decided to ban fishing in the United States. Fishing is one of the most popular activities of the people in the United States. It is not only a recreational activity but also is a source of income and complete ban on fishing would not gain support in the country.

Fishermen’s fear: Public's 'right to fish' shifting under Obama?

    …
Patrik Jonsson Patrik Jonsson – Tue Mar 9, 6:17 pm ET

Atlanta – The Obama administration has proposed using United Nations-guided principles to expand a type of zoning to coastal and even some inland waters. That’s raising concerns among fishermen that their favorite fishing holes may soon be off-limits for bait-casting. In the battle of incremental change that epitomizes the American conservation movement, many weekend anglers fear that the Obama administration’s promise to “fundamentally changeâ€

(caps mine) Why does the Obama or any other U.S. administration think that the United States should amend our coastal, internal water, fishing, or any other type of specifically national regulations--especially those regarding our natural resources--to conform with those put forth by the United Nations?
    Dangerous, I think.

I think that besides stopping fishing that they want to stop clamming, urchining, and lobstering.
I wouldn't be surprised if this FAKE president will outlaw all boating!!!

    Fishing Ban Story False

    Last Update: 2:27 pm

The speed and power of the internet was once again displayed as an opinion story posted on ESPNOutdoors.com, but not clearly identified as such, started a firestorm of controversy.

On March 9th, the outdoor oriented website posted an article about the work of the Interagency Ocean Policy Task Force, an Obama administration project to look into stewardship of marine resources.

The article's author, Robert Montgomery, wrote in his opening paragraph "The Obama administration has ended public input for a federal strategy that could prohibit U.S. citizens from fishing some of the nation's oceans, coastal areas, Great Lakes, and even inland waters."

This, along with the rest of the article, started internet rumors about a possible ban on recreational fishing that were picked up by various conservative news sites both online and broadcast.

On Thursday, Congresswoman Kathy Dahlkemper (PA 3rd-D), issued a press release reassuring sportsman that the rumor of a fishing ban is false.

"“Recreational fishing is a beloved pastime and tradition in our region—not to mention a valuable local industry. Regrettably, [a] wildly inaccurate [story] is circulating online, fueling a rumor that the federal government plans to ban recreational fishing. That claim is entirely untrue. Neither the administration nor the Congress is seeking to ban recreational fishing, plain and simple,â€

    HUFFINGTON POST!!! LOL
You believe anything they say? I read there too BUT ONLY because I monitor the enemy. Their articles are delusional at best. ZaZa Gabor seems to have been dropped on her head AS AN ADULT!

I'd rather wait and see. It also could be that after The Dear Leader sees how many people will be up in arms he might just back down. If he backs down Gibbs will still lie and say it was a rumor. I think only if it does happen will we know.

    We'll see down the road.............
