What Race?

The nattering about momentum, expectation and polls ceased suddenly the other evening when the distraction machine turned its deforming eye upon the death of Whitney Houston. Discussion of the many kinds of deceit in the new ‘budget’ and its $1.4 trillion in new debt was halted and the chart replaced on the screen by footage of the jet carrying the star’s body landing at Teteboro Airport in NJ. These are the priorities when the main purpose is distraction, violence and tawdry stuff. She had a wonderful contralto voice; she was beautiful in the preferred postmodern way, -- high cheek bones, wide mouth, and gleaming, toothy smile – and like many of our pop deities spent a life surrounded by screens, cameras, images, and recordings of her own voice. It’s a cautionary tale not in the way wholesaled by those pushing books and 12-step programs on ‘addiction.’ Her death banished chatter about the nags flogging themselves toward the finish line in November.

Ten Strikes
Mitt Romney has been endorsed by Visa Card Bob Dole, John McCain and Ann Coulter. He got a plurality of votes at CPAC where official conservatives gather, so much so that the AFL-CIO pays unemployed and homeless people $60/day to picket they know not what.[2] One might say, thus that the mighty Romney hath struck out. Maybe so but not strike three: more like strike ten since even before Ms. Coulter had cast her blessing on him he received the endorsement of “the Donald” Trump in beautiful downtown Las Vegas. Viva! Mrs. Romney looked like she would pass out from the ‘joyous’ event.

Santorum now is leading in an index of national polls and in most polls regarding the primary in what is considered Romney’s home state, Michigan. Ever notice that many in the top echelons of the political class tend to have numerous home states and often pretend to be from somewhere they are not? It’s a rather “Looking Glass” kind of situation, rather virtual. G.H.W. Bush I purported to be ‘from’ Texas yet was an old line Yankee from the Boston area how went to Andover, presides at a gorgeous family compound at Kennebunkport, Maine and had various business interests in the Lone Star State. One recalls how quaintly he would tuck-in to some ribs and beans as if to the manner born. Things are so exotic that the Speech Reader in Chief is an exotic consortium of electrons assembled to represent some kind of multicultural ideal. Who needs made in America at this point? Who except the American people but what do they know?

Groves of Academe
As mentioned in previous essays, American education, both K-12 and Higher Ed need to be de-linked from government, attached to the traditional (pre-1970) canon and extensively rebuilt: extant schools need to be de-funded, new ones built and new faculty hired. A position in Higher Ed today is almost prima facie evidence that one should not be teaching anyone. Please review the curriculum at Yale’s second annual “Sex Week,” more than a week and Imperial in its various excess.[3]

Mandated provision of contraception is not the issue: State coercion is and it spreads to all fields, indicating a pervasive imperial model. Still, since “economic” (‘laws of the household’) issues are not all that now is at stake, note that the abortion-feminist paradigm defines pregnancy as a disease and the fetus as an assailant. The man, husband or no, becomes an aggressor as in other areas of law. No society will survive this ingrained hatred of generativity, erotic love and birth. The postmodern paradigms are themselves the disease, a degenerate form of late stage goddess worship.

Empire or Sovereignty
“Catholic” means universal and one hopes that the uproar about one of the coercive mandates of the National ‘Health Plan’ doesn’t get defined as the political need of the party in Executive Office to mollify the Catholic hierarchy or “the Catholic vote” which is very diverse. This matter is not about whether the President is able to satisfy Bishop Dolan, Malarkey, Hannity or some % of Catholics offended by the particulars. The principles are the Federal government’s efforts to mandate, that is, force people to buy things, including for other people; to exalt or interdict primary tenets of major religions; to stifle free speech resulting from these fascistic power grabs (or from other causes). This is intertwined with all the Federal regulations and mandates that make this nation and its people servile; Empire begins with the enslavement of the home population. “Rule Britannia” does Newspeak on this slavery.

But these principles all have flaws inherent in the Constitution even in its pristine state for the fact is that our Culture is disintegrating. The founders, let alone local ministers at a ‘Dissenting’ (non-Anglican) Church would have beaten with a stick, incarcerated or worse any person demanding that citizens pay for the practice of Islam in public institutions or that people be free to ‘practice Satanism’ which is, in effect, what the Federal Government itself does daily. O tempore, O mores! Times change and the culture of the West has been rotting since that great document was written and ratified at just about the time that Mozart died and the Terror began in France. What the founders meant by “free exercise” of religion not being infringed by the Federal Government is long fuddled by dissolution of any and all consensus about religion in the Modern period which began in England by 1851 if not sooner.[4] It has been decades since “the Free Speech Movement” fell like dung upon social discourse in this nation rather like the splattering of feminism from its proximate beginnings in England in 1792 (again, the Terror marks a tipping point. Note that the offspring of Aphrodite and Ares are “Panic and Terror” and that Aphrodite herself “who breaks the knees” of all, gods and mortals embodies the castrated parts of Ouranos, the first sky god of the Greeks.[5] Ancient Greek religion and world view is pervaded by acts of transgender – transfiguration or metamorphosis). This is a profound representation of the goddess worship, terror and unsettling dynamics of all cultures but one.

The resurgence of the ancient Hellenic aspects of the West, sloughing off its Jewish root has been ongoing since inception and at a pace that began accelerating exponentially in the twelfth century, the era of knightly “Romance,” blood libels, Gothic Cathedrals and worship of the “Queen of Heaven,” Ishtar redux. Joachim de Flores (1145-1202) termed it the “era of the holy ghost,” the culture of the fiction, shadow and corporate persona. So our nation turns to Corporatism: fascism. Having begun in identity theft, the West ends with this nightmare embedded in its technology and social relations, such as they are; in its politics and media; in discourse that is fundamentally illusion. It is quite sad and we may not survive it; indeed a major change of mind as well as governance is essential if this culture, or as Spengler said, “Civilization” is to recover and survive. To do that it must know its origins, what it has been, whence it has come and what it thus can be. A branch that attacks its roots is a branch that will wither and die…


As noted in the previous essay, the Administration’s overreach on mandating contraception (including) abortifacient coverage may have been a classic hubristic overreach of an entrenched elite or a clever way to shift the electorate to a challenger of blue collar Catholic background from a swing state filled with ‘Reagan Democrats.’ Despite the hysteria of the legions of female ‘commentators’ (an infernal regiment of women not even John Knox[6] could have imagined) blathering about “women’s health” (a core Nanny State lie) the issue is State coercion. If Americans can still be awakened, this should be the tipping point whence a restoration of some of the pre-Terror glow of the West may be retrieved. As it is, in our era, “the foolish, mad and frenetic govern the discrete”: it is “repugnant to nature” and fails. It is meant to fail…

Or perhaps events will show that the problem is embedded in the core of its divided being and is, thus, irremediable except by collapse and some new spring, the denouement Spengler foresaw, his own view being a rationalist version of the rebirth after the wars of Gog and from Gog.[7]

In the early days in America it was a capital offense to debase the coinage, whose right measure and coining was entrusted to Congress, elected by the people potentially mature enough to merit the franchise: men past their teens and property owners so that the classes without property could not vote themselves into possession of other’s people’s belongings as ‘direct democracy’ allows. Women commentators, professors, drivers, voters – you want it, you got it. Giving the fair sex the vote was going to end war, remember? They voted for the incumbent by 71% not only because, suggestible as always and their vanity flattered by forty years of feminism, they knew that darker skin is better, but because the media, the voice of ‘truth’ presented him as a ‘peace President.’ The pattern of the last sixty-two years at least is for endless wars of attrition NOT because “war is the health of the State” but because they Directorate know that war destroys nations and deifies the State. The ostensible lesson of the wars is that America (like Israel) cannot win even when it wins (when it did, twice, it paid to rebuild Europe, “the greatest of continents”[8]; but also that “THERE IS NO MILITARY SOLUTION” unless imposed by a multinational or UN team of ‘peace keepers.’

Orwell and Kafka understood. The common sense prohibition against debased coin and the requirement of fair weights and measures are drawn from the Books of Moses: so was the idea of primarily defensive or preemptive wars fought to be won. So the progressive introduction of paper and then fiat money and the regimen of wars of attrition, “for peace” are disguised eruptions of the spirit of “Esau, he is Edom”[9] which is a drive toward imperialism and inflation of every kind, toward giantism of form, message, game, currency, institution and law. Judaism has been derided by the cult of Plato, and the religions that drew from him, Rome and Babylon as “legalistic.” But the Torah (whose name is never mentioned in history classes or the media, though the Koran often is) contains 613 instructions (almost all within Exodus 12 – Leviticus 25) while the IRS code alone contains about seventy-two thousand regulations. How many laws are in the books of the bankrupt state of California alone? Esau is the great controller, the great gamer, the master of regulations and form whether it’s Super Bowl, Ballot Bowl, the machinations of ‘The Quartet’ or “a world socialist collective” the goal of the Round Table and its quirky champion, H.G. Wells.

In our era, “a generation of reverts” afflicted by “a non-people and a vile nation”[10] a return to honest weights and measures and a currency of gold and silver, as specified in Torah might be implemented, ironically, by someone perceived as anti-Jewish or anti-Israel. Actually, the entire Middle East would be at peace, a bastion of prosperity and stability if all the fake states created there by Esau instead were the site of a true Israel, settled in its Promised place mandated, not by Whitehall or Washington which have no use for it except as a launching pad, source of technology and, above all, a scapegoat. If the great ‘democracies’ of the West were not always meddling there to maintain instability, attrition, impoverishment and weakness termed “PEACE” Israel already would have won its wars, reclaimed its land and there would be peace. Ironically, the non-intervention pledged by Congressman Paul, if it ever could be carried out despite the long range designs of the State Department is the only way for peace in that and other regions. Major conflicts, as opposed to primitive grudges, would be settled without the ‘game in its mouth’ agenda of the great powers and their professions of spurious compassion, so much like the feigned compassion and real coercion of the Nanny State in general.

It is difficult to know for sure where Congressman Paul, whose movement if not himself is essential to any future as a humane Republic America may have, could overcome, as has no President in the past eight decades (at least), the agenda of STATE. But it is more than worth a try. In any case, it is restoring balance at home, beginning with fair weights, measures and coinage that change must come before a total collapse that ‘justifies’ the total implementation of a National Security State that will ‘take care’ of everyone and all their ‘problems.’

It was interesting on Tuesday, February 14th, Valentine’s Day, to hear the good Judge Napolitano on “Freedom Watch” endeavor to draw a direct line from the “just war” doctrine of Thomas Aquinas to the thinking of Jefferson on war. But it surely is true than an effectively imperial foreign policy indicates the presence of an Empire and Imperial system that begins with tyranny over the State’s own citizens as the State becomes an idol, in effect, a god.


The only Nation with an explicitly anti-imperial stance toward its neighbors is Israel whose borders are to be “sealed like iron and copper” (emblems 3300 years ago of greatest strength) and is commanded to wage preemptive war against any groups gathered against it. That’s clear enough. The US Navy flag with a rattler and the motto, “Don’t tread on me” is derived from the banner of the tribe of Dan (Genesis 49:16-17) whose territory in the north of the Promised Land, where the artificial state of Syria now roils, had to repel armies coming down the region’s main route of invasion.

The New Idol[11]

This is a vital electoral season for a bad choice in November may well mean there will be no more elections that can make a difference: one hopes that this one can, human minds and hearts struggling for traction against the glittering headwinds and shadow-dazzle of the media and the numbing effects of our educational system. It also is true that the rot in the Republic is cultural and moral, not simply political and that beyond abolishing the Federal Reserve and establishing an honest and sustainable system of money, basic matters like the role of the sexes and engrained bias in the Judicial system will have to be redressed. This is a tall order for those who, like the robber barons and Vikings of old, want to rule a world of serfs will not readily give up their means of power. Perhaps good lessons are at hand in the roots of Western tradition that do not go back to Plato, Caesar, inquisitors, Hobbes and Rousseau.There once was a nation based on the inalienable inheritance of its small farmers. Can a decaying and depraved civilization with a man-made code of laws renew itself? One hopes so.
