General Discussion was for discussion of the topics listed with or without an article. It seems a little odd to me that out of 20,000 ALIPAC members, you seem to be the only one who seems to understand this anomaly. Is there a reason for that?

For discussions and news that are not on the topic of illegal immigration and immigration.

Yeah, like saving the snow leopard, health issues, natural disasters, accidents, school shootings, recipes, murders, "California building boom", etc., etc. Not the President, not campaigns, not topics listed in the General Discussion forum description.

So you think every time the President farts or twitters to Putin, it should appear in the general discussion forum on an illegal immigration website? I guess you also think a discussion on the environment between two Democrat primary campaigners should also be on the forum? You're not making any sense. This is an illegal immigration website. I can think of no better or quicker ways to dampen participation and readership than to make folks have to filter through a lot of B.S. they didn't come here to read in the first place. If they're looking for information outside of immigration, they can go to the "Other Topics" forum.

You're just being repetitive, argumentative, and rebellious now.

That is your personal opinion. However, that was not the policy or the posted description on our wonderful website forum. I think you wanted to change that policy and achieved it, creating confusion, inconsistency and an embarrassing anomaly on our website to suit your personal gripes and whines.

How is it working out for you?

Huh, what are you talking about? I don't make policy around here. You're talking about William's (owner of the website) policy, not mine. However, I do my best to abide by policy. You're giving me credit for having something I don't have around here ... and that's the power to make decisions.

I'm giving you no "credit" at all. A decision like this one is a response to complaints. The policy should conform to the website forum like it used to, and I think it will probably return to normal soon, that's why the forum itself was never changed nor should it be, in my opinion. "Other Topics" has almost 50% more threads than General Discussion now when General Discussion used to be more active forum, so it's just moved to "Other" what most people here want to post about aside from specific immigration articles.

I didn't say that. What are you talking about?

I will say that if you want more traffic, if you want more clicks, if you want more members, more posters, more people like guests reading, more money, what THIS President and Executive Branch is up to is by far and away the best draw we have for all of that. I thought so during the campaign and still do.

It's my hope that one of the moderators will post William's post from a month or two ago that specifically said the general discussion forum was for immigration related discussions and post. He was very clear in his post. Too bad you weren't paying attention.

To my knowledge the policy has always been that way. However, I will confess the forum was getting out of control a while back with a bunch of non-immigration related topics. That's why I suspect William clarified the issue with his post. It was getting to the point where non-immigration post and discussions were pushing the immigration related ones to the next page way to quickly. After all, this is an illegal immigration website. Most of us recognize that and that's the issue that brought us here.

I'm sure you do. I saw the memo that was circulated and thought "how strange is that", my threads had been moved for over a year before the memo came around. I didn't say anything about it, because I knew what was behind it, but it's confusing and I hope it gets corrected so things return to normal when we had lots of poster posting about all types of related political events and inter-related issues and many more guests reading them, which is the "healthy discussion" William seeks in his last urging for people to be more active on the forums. Just my two cents.
