In an interview with Fusion TV, Hillary Clinton argues Hamas hides their military weapons among civilians due mainly to geography, not radical religious beliefs or their hatred of Israel.

The former Secretary of State prefaced her theory by telling Ramos, “I’m not a military planner.” “Hamas puts its missiles, its rockets in civilian areas,” she then said before blaming the poor storage spot on the combination of the “small” size of Gaza and their large population.

As Secretary of State, Clinton was part of the relentless pressure on Israel that emboldened Hamas, once berating Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over some apartments in Jerusalem. And as First Lady, Clinton was one of the first to endorse a Palestinian state, and infamously lent credence to absurd charges that Israel was using chemical weapons.

Clinton is not doing anything to distance herself in a meaningful way from Obama’s disastrous Middle East policies–nor can she, since she helped carried them out and shares much of his ideological orientation.

So the idea that a President Clinton might have been friendlier to Israel, or might be in the future, lacks any real evidence–other than her long track record of interest-group pandering, which saw her lean opportunistically to the pro-Israel side when she represented New York in the U.S. Senate.

Judicial Watch Bombshell: Clinton State Department Racket Hauled in $48 Million for Clinton Machine

So let me get this straight. Bill Clinton delivers 215 speeches around the globe while his wife is Secretary of State, hauling in $48 million for various Clinton family interests, and the Obama administration handed the Clintons an "ethical waiver" 100% of the time?

There was not one single speech that gave the administration pause? Not one?

That is what everybody is talking about in response to bombshell documents we released earlier this week, including more than 200 conflict-of-interest reviews by State Department ethics advisers. These "reviews" considered speaking engagements and consulting arrangements proposed by Bill Clinton speaking during Hillary Clinton's tenure as secretary of state.

(The documents were obtained as result of a federal court order in a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit filed against the State Department on May 28, 2013, a lawsuit that is still ongoing.) These documents also show that the State Department approved a consulting arrangement with a company, Teneo Strategy, led by controversial Clinton Foundation adviser Doug Band. The Clintons ended the deal after only eight months, as criticism mounted over Teneo's ties to the failed investment firm, MF Global. So we know that the Obama administration's judgment as to what constitutes a "conflict of interest" is skewed, to put it nicely. But that's just the tip of the iceberg. Again, Mr. Clinton's office proposed 215 speeches around the globe during his wife's tenure at State. And 215 times the State Department stated that it had "no objection." Let's take a quick look at where Mr. Clinton took his business and the types of companies that were involved. Mr. Clinton's speeches included appearances in China, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, United Arab Emirates, Central America, Europe, Turkey, Thailand, Taiwan, India and the Cayman Islands. Sponsors of the speeches included some of the world's largest financial institutions-Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, Deutsche Bank, American Express and others-as well as major players in technology, energy, health care and media. Other speech sponsors included a car dealership, casino groups, hotel operators, retailers, real estate brokers, a Panamanian air cargo company and a sushi restaurant. And, again, zero objections from the Obama administration. How the Obama State Department waived hundreds of ethical conflicts that allowed the Clintons and their businesses to accept money from foreign entities and corporations seeking influence boggles the mind. That former President Clinton trotted the globe collecting huge speaking fees while his wife presided over U.S. foreign policy is an outrage. No wonder it took a court order to get these documents. What foreign policy issues were mishandled as top State Department officials spent so much time facilitating the Clinton money machine? The Washington Examiner published a report this week on the documents analyzed by Judicial Watch Chief Investigative Reporter Micah Morrison and Examiner Senior Watchdog Reporter Luke Rosiak that dove into the specifics of these speeches and those in attendance. Morrison and Rosiak note that Mr. Clinton "earned $48 million while his wife presided over U.S. foreign policy, raising questions about whether the Clintons fulfilled ethics agreements related to the Clinton Foundation during Mrs. Clinton's tenure as Secretary of State." And here are some of the specific Clinton activities that did not cause so much as a raised eyebrow within the Obama administration, per the State Department documents we uncovered: • Mr. Clinton spoke before a UBS Wealth Management audience in Chicago in April, 2012. The State Department document notes that attendees would be "approximately 300-400 ultra-high net worth clients, prospective clients, and UBS Financial Advisers." • Mr. Clinton spoke to an event hosted by Wells Fargo in San Francisco in October, 2011. The State Department document notes that the event is "being held for Wells Fargo Private Bank and Wells Fargo Family Wealth Group clients, which are clients that have at least $5 million and $50 million in assets respectively." • At a "mutually agreeable date" in April 2010, Mr. Clinton was due to speak at Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut. "This would be a private speech of up to 350 friends and patrons of Mohegan Sun," the State Department document noted. "The event will not be open to the public. The event will not be publicly advertised." • For a speech in Moscow in June 2010 sponsored by the investment bank Renaissance Capital, Mr. Clinton would address the theme of "Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States: Going Global." The document notes that "Renaissance Capital is an investment bank focused on the emerging markets of Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and sub-Saharan Africa." • At the Ritz Carlton in Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, Mr. Clinton spoke at a March 2011 ticketed event targeting "the business community in Grand Cayman." These documents clearly show how the Clintons turned the State Department into a racket to line their own pockets. Of course we all suspected this is how things would go down, with the Clinton machine getting its hooks into the Obama administration, which has corruption and lawlessness issues that would make Boss Tweed blush. The potential for conflicts of interest between Hillary Clinton's role as Secretary of State and Bill Clinton's international ventures grew increasingly controversial in late 2008 when the former president released a list of donors to his library and foundation in what he termed "a deal between" Obama "and Hillary." According to an AP wire story, "Saudi Arabia gave $10 million to $25 million to the foundation. Other government donors include Norway, Kuwait, Qatar, Brunei, Oman ..." CNN at the time warned that Clinton's "complicated global business interests could present future conflicts of interest that result in unneeded headaches for the incoming commander-in-chief." Here's where CNN was off: This president doesn't get headaches over ethics. Under established protocols of the State Department, and supplemented by a December 2008 Memorandum of Understanding between the Clinton Foundation and Obama Presidential Transition Team, a designated ethics official from the State Department's legal office was assigned to review any "potential or actual conflict of interest" for Mrs. Clinton while she served as secretary of state. Copies of all decisions were sent to a top adviser to Secretary Clinton, Cheryl Mills, who served as counselor and chief of staff at the Department of State. Yes, that Cheryl Mills. Bill Clinton's former deputy White House counsel and a longtime Clinton family confidant, who, the Washington Post wrote in 1999 "endeared herself to the Clintons with her never-back-down, share-nothing, don't-give-an-inch approach ..." After clearing Mrs. Clinton for the DOS job, Mills was named the incoming Secretary's Chief of Staff. Ms. Mills was a featured speaker at Bill Clinton's 2012 Clinton Global Initiative annual meeting. In an April 28, 2008, ruling relating to Ms. Mills conduct as a White House official in responding to concerns about lost White House email records, Judge Royce C. Lamberth called Cheryl Mills' participation in the matter "loathsome." He further stated Mills was responsible for "the most critical error made in this entire fiasco... Mills' actions were totally inadequate to address the problem." Ms. Mills is currently on the Board of Directors of BlackRock, a leading investment firm. BlackRock is run by Larry Fink who reportedly wanted to be Treasury Secretary for Barack Obama and now, according to another report, is "angling for the job" in a Hillary Clinton administration. Judicial Watch is not surprised that the Clintons cast aside any semblance of ethical bearing to fill their coffers, yet the breadth their scheme and the haul it yielded is truly shocking. And it bears repeating that, given concerns about potential corruption associated with Hillary Clinton becoming Secretary of State, she obtained her position based on promises of a rigorous ethics process by both her and the Obama administration. The U.S. Senate was suckered by these promises because, as we've shown thanks to a court order, the promised ethics process was a joke. The State Department has "found" more documents which they should soon be giving us, so we'll keep you posted on more developments as they arise.

Banking titan at center of U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit also hit with money laundering fine

One of the African leaders at the forefront of President Barack Obama’s Africa summit headed a bank that was fined eight figures for violating money-laundering regulations and is closely associated with the foundations of liberal billionaire George Soros and the Clinton family.
Nigerian Tony Elumelu—a “banking titan” and one of Africa’s richest men—is acting as a spokesperson for the U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit this week. He penned an op-ed last week in the Wall Street Journal calling the event a “defining moment” for both the African continent and “for the United States as it formally recognizes the strategic importance of Africa.”
He started his career by growing United Bank of Africa (UBA) from a small struggling Nigerian bank into a leading financial services institution with worldwide operations. Now he runs one of Africa’s largest investment firms and a foundation that has partnered with the Clinton Global Initiative and has ties to others in America’s left.
In 2010, Elumelu was forced to leave United Bank of Africa (UBA) due to a law enacted by former Nigerian President Alhaji Umaru Musa Yar’Adua that limited the number of years any CEO of a major Nigerian bank could hold that position. Yar’Adua came from the banking industry and knew that it was corrupt and “needed to be sanitized.”
While Elumelu was at the helm of UBA, it was forced to pay a $15 million fine to the U.S. Treasury Department for failing to comply with anti-money-laundering rules at its New York branch.
The fine was tied to Elumelu’s position on the board of the African Finance Corporation (AFC), a multinational project designed to develop infrastructure across Africa. The initiator of the project, Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria Charles Chukwuma Soludo, was later found guilty by the Minister of Justice of “money laundering and abuse of office among myriads of financial misdoings” relating to the operation of the AFC.
The Treasury Department fine for Elumelu’s UBA was for failure to report suspicious transactions by the Central Bank of Nigeria in its New York branch to the U.S. Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN).
Central bank moved close to $300 million from its AFC bank account to the New York UBA account to an account in UBA’s New York branch. The money was used in short-term investments in New York for businesses that were unrelated with that of the stated mission of AFC.
Elumelu has tried to distance himself from the financial corruption in Nigeria’s banking sector, despite his direct involvement in it.
In 2012, he made an appeal for Nigeria to be talked about more positively, rather than with a focus on the rampant corruption.
“Without sounding a bit defensive, I think we tend to over bloat this issue of corruption in Nigeria and in fact, almost all the speakers who have spoken today are talking about corruption,” Elumelu said at a economic summit in Nigeria. “Yes some people are corrupt in Nigeria, a country of about 170 million people; we have one, two, or five per cent that are corrupt.”
Transparency International rates Nigeria as “highly corrupt” and finds that it ranks 144 out of 177 on its corruption index.
Elumelu founded Heirs Holdings Limited, an investment holdings company that invests in African companies, and the Tony Elumelu Foundation in 2010. His investment company gained notoriety last November when, in just three weeks, Elumelu made $123 million off Transcorp PLC, a conglomerate with holdings in a diverse range of African sectors, according to Forbes.
Obama spoke at the summit on Tuesday and announced plans for $14 billion in U.S. corporate investment in Africa.
Elumelu founded the Tony Elumelu Foundation in 2010 with the goal of “enhancing the competitiveness of the African private sector.”
Sitting on the advisory board of Elumelu’s foundation is one of left-wing billionaire George Soros’ closest associates, Stewart Paperin, who was executive vice president of Soros’ Open Society Foundations and president of the Soros Economic Development Fund.
Also on Elumelu’s advisory board is billionaire Lady Lynn Forester de Rothschild, a longtime political supporter of the Clintons. She hosted the first political event Hillary Clinton attended in 2014, a fundraiser for Chelsea Clinton’s mother-in-law Marjorie Margolies, who was running for a House seat in Pennsylvania.
De Rothschild has called Obama a “loser” and said that he “will be devastating for the country.”
“He’s so vain and he’s so convinced of his own transcendence as a solution to everything that he’s incapable of doing the right thing for the country,” de Rothschild said of Obama in 2011.
Elumelu has built a strong relationship with both Bill and Hillary Clinton and their Clinton Global Initiative. In 2012, CNN described Elumelu as the “darling of the Clinton Global Initiative.”
Former President Clinton is involved in the U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit as well, hosting the opening session of Tuesday morning’s business forum. Clinton said that American business is “missing the boat” and that investing in Africa is a “massive opportunity for American business.”
Clinton was a keynote speaker at de Rothschild’s own conference earlier this year, where Elumelu also spoke.
Elumelu’s foundation was spotlighted in President Clinton’s Time magazine article “How To Save the World” as the prime example of a CGI partner organization that is “solving the world’s problems.”
Elumelu has been a regular speaker at CGI events over the years. He used the 2011 CGI annual conference to announce the launch of a new ratings system that measures the “social and environmental impact” of investment portfolios.
The system is funded in part by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), which fostered a relationship with Elumelu while Hillary Clinton was secretary of state.
Under Clinton, USAID Administrator Rajiv Shah traveled to Nigeria for a town hall hosted by the Tony Elumelu Foundation. He is now an advisor for USAID’s Private Capital Group for Africa.
Elumelu was an attendee at the official United Kingdom book release party of Hillary Clinton’s latest memoir, Hard Choices. Clinton was pictured alongside Elumelu and de Rothschild at the event.

Obama worked early in his presidency to bring the Brotherhood to power, and he did just that. But this? This is high treason. And why all the secrecy if Obama believed that this was good for America? What is the point of all the hiding of his jihad collaborations? Because it's treason, and lethal for America, and he knows it. So the snake has to hide, and Hillary, his Secretary of Sloth, has been pimping for jihad since she lip-locked with Suha Arafat.

Morsi's wife threatens to publish letters from Hillary Clinton, exposing "special relationship" between Muslim Brotherhood and Obama Administration
The wife of former Egyptian president Muhammad Morsi is the latest Muslim Brotherhood "insider" to threaten to expose the special relationship between Morsi and the Obama administration—a relationship the latter insists never existed.

Nagla Mahmoud, Morsi's wife, is reportedly angry at some statements recently made by Hillary Clinton, including that Morsi was "naïve" and "unfit for Egypt's presidency," as reported by Arabic media.

In the words of El-Mogaz News, Morsi's wife "is threatening to expose the special relationship between her husband and Hillary Clinton, after the latter attacked the ousted [president], calling him a simpleton who was unfit for the presidency. Sources close to Nagla confirmed that she has threatened to publish the letters exchanged between Morsi and Hillary."

The report CONTINUES by saying that Nagla accuses Hillary of denouncing her former close ally, the Brotherhood's Morsi, in an effort to foster better relations with his successor, Egypt's current president, Sisi—even though, as Nagla laments, "he [Morsi] was faithful to the American administration."
Earlier, the son of Khairat al-Shatter—another top ranking Brotherhood member who WAS ARRESTED during the June 2013 revolution that ousted Morsi—made similar assertions, threatening to expose documents that would "undermine his [U.S. president Obama's] political future and land him in PRISON."

Despite all these similar threats from Brotherhood insiders, and despite all the other evidence, the Obama administration insists that its relationship with the Muslim Brotherhood was no more special than its relationships to other Egyptian parties.

The Clintons & the Muslim Brotherhood
Bill and Hillary Clinton are friends with Bassam Erstwani, chairman of the Dar Al-Hijrah Mosque of Falls Church, Virginia, where three of the 9/11 hijackers worshiped. The friendship dates back to their White House days. A note from Bill Clinton to Chairman Erstwani was released by the Clinton Library just recently. It was signed “Bill”—indicating a level of intimacy.
In 2012, Bill hosted Muslim Brotherhood leader Muhammad Morsi at his Clinton Global Initiative conference. Morsi was President of Egypt at the time. President Obama was speaking at the conference, too, along with Mitt Romney and world leaders.
The issue with hosting Morsi was that he had already declared his intention to institute Sharia Law in Egypt, as well as to fight for the release of the Blind Sheik, who masterminded the bombing of the World Trade Center back in 1993.

What Motivates Islamists to Make Jihad?
Doctrinaire Muslims know the Quran and base their thoughts and actions on its permissions and commands. Ibn Kathir, a highly influential Muslim, well-known for his Tafsir and his Signs Before the Day of Judgment, is widely considered an authoritative source by mainstream and radical Muslims alike; he maintains that Jews are worse than donkeys and that all infidels should suffer heavy casualties at the hands of Muslims. Of unbelievers, he writes as follows: “They are worse than grazing cattle. Cattle only do what they were created to do, but these people were created to worship Allah alone without associating partners with Him, but they worship others with Him, even though evidence has been established against them, and Messengers have been sent to them.” These are the kinds of words that motivate Jihadists to commit mortal acts against “infidels.”

A Short Bio of Hillary Clinton's Closest Confidante
Huma Mahmood Abedin (born July 28, 1976) came into the world in Kalamazoo, Michigan, but moved to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, at the age of two. Her father, Syed Zainul Abedin, was born in the part of India that would become Muslim Pakistan. He received an Ivy League Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania. Ms. Abedin's mother, Saleha Mahmood Abedin, was also from Pakistan and also received a Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania. Although Huma’s father has passed away, her mother still works at Dar Al-Hekma College in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Huma Abedin returned to the US to attend George Washington University, where she earned a B.A. While Ms. Abedin was a student at George Washington University, she was given a job with Hillary Clinton, working as a personal aide and erstwhile bodyguard.
In 1998, she began work as Assistant Editor of the Journal of Muslim Minority Affairs, which she did for 12 years. The White House was unconcerned, even though the Journal has ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. But, of course, the Clintons have hosted emissaries of the Brotherhood in the White House. So, why would they bat an eyelash at Huma’s terrorist ties?
Ms. Abedin still works as a political staffer for Hillary Rodham Clinton and was Clinton's Deputy Chief of Staff at State, while Hillary was serving as Obama's Secretary of State. Abedin is married to former Democrat Congressman Anthony Weiner.

Sidebar: the Goals of Global Islamism

This is all part of the Brotherhood’s agenda to take the West by dawa—an aggressive form of pressuring “infidels” to adopt Sharia. The Brotherhood calls this the Grand Jihad within the context of Civilization Jihad. It is a form of cultural sabotage, the effects of which, at present, are playing out in France, England, Holland, and other countries.
The idea behind infiltrating the West is to establish fifth columns to exploit Western-style religious freedom to gain ground institutionally, until it is too late and Western culture falls victim to its own support of minority culture.

More About Huma & Her Troubling Ties to Islamism
Huma’s Journal of Muslim Minority Affairs is a publication founded by Abdullah Omar Naseef, a rich Saudi who backs al-Qaeda. He is Secretary General of the Muslim World League, a joint venture of the Muslim Brotherhood and Saudi Arabia. Naseef hired Huma Abedin’s parents to run the Journal of Muslim Minority Affairs back in the 1970s. This journal has been instrumental in building and promoting global Islamism.

This connection between Naseef and Abedin is worrisome, in light of Abedin’s connection to Hillary. Another terrorist enabler connected to both Abedin and Naseef is Sheikh Yusuf Qaradawi, a member of the Muslim Brotherhood and other Islamist networks. Qaradawi has been officially classified as a facilitator of terrorism.

HILLARY DEMANDS 'PRESIDENTIAL SUITE' IN VEGAS...

Hillary Rodham Clinton likes to travel in style.

She insists on staying in the “presidential suite” of luxury hotels that she chooses anywhere in the world, including Las Vegas.
She usually requires those who pay her six-figure fees for speeches to also provide a private jet for transportation — only a $39 million, 16-passenger Gulfstream G450 or larger will do.
And she doesn’t travel alone, relying on an entourage of a couple of “travel aides,” and a couple of advance staffers who check out her speech site in the days leading up to her appearance, much like a White House trip, according to her contract and supporting documents concerning her Oct. 13 speech at a University of Nevada, Las Vegas Foundation fundraiser. The documents were obtained by the Las Vegas Review-Journal through the state public records law.

CENTER OF ATTENTION
Clinton, a former first lady, U.S. senator from New York and U.S. secretary of state, is expected to run for president in 2016. Her lifestyles of the rich and famous ways and comments that she made about her wealth during a recent book tour have fueled criticism that she’s out of touch with average Americans.
The Democratic contender said she pays taxes, unlike some people who are “truly well off.” She also said she and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, were “dead broke” when they left the White House in 2001. In the past eight years alone, the couple has earned more than $100 million, much of it from speaking fees, according to Politico.
In fact, the former president spoke at the 2012 UNLV Foundation dinner, taking home a $250,000 fee. His spouse will get $225,000 to speak at the annual dinner. The size of Hillary Clinton’s fee has come under fire from critics who question the large expense in an era when students are hard-pressed to cover tuition and leave school saddled with massive debt.
But Clinton’s $225,000 is something of a cut-rate. Documents obtained by the newspaper show that she initially asked for $300,000 and reveal that she insists on controlling every detail of the private event, large and small, to ensure that she will be the center of attention.
“It is agreed that Speaker will be the only person on the stage during her remarks,” according to the May 13 contract the Harry Walker Agency signed for Clinton’s keynote address at the Bellagio.
According to her standard speaking contract, Clinton will remain at the event no longer than 90 minutes; will pose for no more than 50 photos with no more than 100 people; and won’t allow any press coverage or video- or audio-taping of her speech.
The only record allowed will be made by a stenographer whose transcription will be given only to Clinton. The stenographer’s $1,250 bill, however, will go to the UNLV Foundation.
The foundation, meanwhile, is prohibited from advertising the event on radio, TV or billboards. Mail and website ads are allowed, although Clinton staffers must approve in writing any promotional material. One unhappy UNLV Foundation official in an email complained of “meddling” after Clinton’s agency edited a description of the annual dinner to “dumb it down.”
And Clinton’s demand for approval of all website material before it hits the Internet prompted a UNLV Web designer to grouse in an email that it seems “assbackwards in my mind.”
The foundation complied with Clinton’s wishes, however.
POLITICS IN PLAY
While big-name speakers such as the Clintons have been proven moneymakers, the foundation took a pass on a Hillary appearance in 2013 because Bill had appeared the previous year and the organization didn’t want to come off as favoring Democrats.
“We need to be careful not to appear partisan,” said a Feb. 18, 2013, email from the UNLV Foundation to the Harry Walker Agency.......

Hillary Clinton Is Getting Terrible Reviews On The Campaign Trail, And There Might Be A Very Simple Reason Why

In recent weeks, the conventional wisdom on Hillary Clinton seems to have shifted. Her White House bid has gone from being perceived as an inevitable juggernaut to decidedly shaky ground.

While this might seem surprising, a growing number of political insiders have suggested they saw this coming for a very simple reason: Clinton just isn't good at campaigning.

Clinton's recent book tour was supposed to serve as a soft launch for a 2016 bid, but it quickly ran into obstacles. First, Clinton made a series of gaffes about her wealth. Then, last weekend, an interview with Clinton made headlines for her criticism of the Obama administration's foreign-policy positions.

As a result, Clinton's team, who declined to comment on this story, ended up on the defensive and issuing a statement assuring the public she and the president would end up "hugging it out." After all this, Clinton's poll numbers have taken a hit with a recent survey showing her slipping against her likely Republican rivals.

Several prominent observers have explained this by suggesting speaking off-the-cuff is Clinton's Achilles' heel. While no one can question Clinton's vast experience, fluency with foreign-policy issues, and the history-making nature of her presidential aspirations, a lot of insiders clearly doubt she has solid skills on the campaign trail.

"Whatever HRC's other merits, she['s] never been a great candidate, and seems way out of practice now," wrote former New York Times chief national correspondent Adam Nagourney on Twitter after Clinton's aides promised the hug summit between her and the president.

National Journal political editor Josh Kraushaar echoed that assessment in a story on potential Democratic opponents for Clinton published last month.

"Clinton brings undeniable assets to the table — she'd be the first female president, the Clinton brand is still strong, her fundraising is unmatched — but her recent exposure on the book tour has demonstrated her political limitations as well," Kraushaar wrote, adding, "She's not a particularly good campaigner; she's skilled at staying on message but tone-deaf to the way comments about her wealth could backfire among an economically anxious public."

Writer Ana Marie Cox summed up an article on Clinton's wealth gaffes in June by describing her as a "rocky campaigner." Ricochet editor Jon Gabriel was even more blunt.

"I still predict Hillary won't be the nominee. She's an awful campaigner," Gabriel tweeted in February.

Vox's Ezra Klein has published a pair of pieces analyzing Clinton's slip-ups. In June, he called Clinton "rusty" and said her awkward comments about her personal fortune "occasioned a rapid reassessment of whether Clinton is really the fearsome campaigner so many assumed."

"Clinton's chances in 2016 are generally overhyped," Klein concluded.

Back in June, Klein offered a ray of hope for Clinton supporters that was a rather backhanded compliment.

"Clinton's string of highly public, vaguely embarrassing interviews speak to one of her real advantages: she can spend the next two years relearning how to run a national campaign," wrote Klein.

On Tuesday, Klein published another assessment of Clinton's tortured rollout. He declared her "not inevitable" and argued her trouble on the campaign trail might be because her views are out of step with the public.

"There is a pattern that has emerged in almost every recent interview Clinton has given: liberals walk away unnerved," Klein wrote.

"She bumbled through a discussion of gay marriage with Terry Gross. She's dodged questions about the Keystone XL pipeline. She's had a lot of trouble discussing income inequality."

There's a nightmare scenario for Clinton supporters lurking under the surface of these critiques of her campaign skills: the idea that 2016 would be a repeat of 2008. Right now, as a powerful front-runner, Clinton is in a similar position to the one she enjoyed heading into that race. Her slew of stumbles have raised the possibility she could end the race in the same position as 2008 — bested by an opponent who was more electrifying and better able to connect with the public on the campaign trail.

MSNBC producer John Flowers hinted at the possibility of this 2008 déjà vu in June when he tweeted about coverage of Hillary's wealth gaffes. Flowers referenced the movie "Memento," in which the protagonist suffered from amnesia, to express his surprise that people were shocked to see Clinton struggle on the campaign trail.

"Why do people go 'Memento' on the fact that Hillary is a terrible, miserable, never-once-very-good campaigner?" asked Flowers.
