White House: Obama Will Act ‘Administratively’ and ‘Unilaterally’ On Guns

The new White House spokesman, er paid liar Josh Earnest, said that the President is “always” looking for different ways to act “unilaterally” on guns, but also said that he would prefer to work with Congress.
In response to a question presented to him about the shooter that opened fire at a school in Oregon on Tuesday, Earnest said “The president’s goal is to look for opportunities to act administratively, unilaterally using his executive authority to try to make our communities safer.”
“We’re always looking for those opportunities. But none of those opportunities when they present themselves is going to be an acceptable substitute for robust legislative action.”

    [Josh Earnest]
The shooter in Oregon killed one student and injured a teacher prior to turning his weapon on himself at Reynolds High School. Police found the shooter, who hasn’t been identified, dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Obama has been on a full-court press for stricter gun control ever since the Newtown, Conn. Shootings in December of 2012. Since then he has signed 23 executive orders that directly relate to gun control but there hasn’t been any congressional legislation passed to date, which is something that bothers Obama.
“There’s no doubt there has been an alarming frequency of tragic incidents of gun violence that are concerning to Democrats and Republicans in Washington but more importantly to people all across the country,” Earnest said.
Following in Carney’s footsteps, Earnest then used the left’s favorite buzzword and asked what “common sense” measure can be taken to further restrict the Second Amendment rights of Americans.
“The question is what can we do to make certain something like this never ever happens again? There are going to be other tragedies. The question I think really facing lawmakers right now is what common sense steps can Democrats and Republicans take to reduce the likelihood of gun violence.”
He then reiterated that Obama would do whatever he thought he could through executive fiat in order to infringe on our rights.
“And there are some, and they have unfortunately been bottled up in Congress and that is a disappointment to the president,” Earnest continued. “But that’s not going to stop the president from continuing to push for administrative steps that we can take to help reduce gun violence.”
Keep in mind that the violent crime rate in America has been on a decline while gun ownership is on the rise. Many thought the expiration of the 1994 Brady ban would cause violent crimes to go through the roof, but just the opposite has happened which pretty much destroys the argument that more guns = more crime.

OBAMA PREPPING GUN CONTROL EXECUTIVE ORDER, STATES “AMERICA SHOULD BE ASHAMED”

    VIDEO AT LINK

White House spokesman Josh Earnest said during a press conference yesterday that Obama is preparing to take executive action on gun control, stating “The President’s goal is to look for opportunities to act administratively, unilaterally using his executive authority to try to make our communities safer,” Earnest said. “We’re always looking for those opportunities. But none of those opportunities when they present themselves is going to be an acceptable substitute for robust legislative action.

This was in response to the recent shooting at an Oregon school where two people died.Obama stated during a question and answer social media forum (video below) that America should do some “soul-searching” over its “epidemic” of deadly gun violence and “should be ashamed” we can’t address the issue of gun violence like other countries.

He specifically stated that we should be working towards keeping guns out of the hands of mentally unstable people. So it seems the coming executive order will be some sort of gun control measure specifically targeted to ‘mentally unstable people’.

How much do you want to bet that ‘right wing extremists’, which the White House will very loosely define as anyone opposing the government in any way, will be considered to be to ‘mentally unstable’ and should be prevented from owning a gun under the coming unconstitutional executive order?

“And it happens now once a week,” Obama added. “And it’s a one-day story. There’s no place else like this.” While most of the Tumblr questions concerned the president’s student loan programs, and higher education in general, Obama turned emotional when one user asked about school shootings. Obama’s comments came just a few hours after the shooting death of a high school student in Oregon. His “biggest frustration” as president, Obama said, has been that “this society has not been willing to take some basic steps” to keep guns away from people who “can do just unbelievable damage.” The president again criticized Congress for blocking a proposal to expand background checks for gun buyers and said too many lawmakers are “terrified” of the National Rifle Association and other gun rights groups. While “our levels of gun violence are off the charts,” Obama said, the American people themselves have to demand new laws: “If public opinion does not demand change in Congress, it will not change.” Opponents of various gun control proposals said they would be ineffective, and some threaten Second Amendment ownership rights. They also said shootings are a mental health issue, an argument that Obama disputed. “The United States does not have a monopoly on crazy people,” Obama said.

Even CNN Debunks Claim Of 74 School Shootings Since Newton

By Brian Anderson on June 11, 2014 | Subscribe to Brian Anderson's feed |

Everytown For Gun Safety, the faux grassroots gun control group owned by billionaire Michael Bloomberg, has been promoting a claim that there have been 74 school shootings since the Newton massacre in December of 2014. Virtually every lefty gun control advocate and news source has picked up on that number and reported as gospel without bothering to check if it is true. Surprisingly, CNN looked into it and discovered that it is way off.

If there had been 74 school shootings over the last year and a half that would mean there has been one every single week since Adam Lanza’s rampage. Instead, CNN found quite a different number:
After Tuesday’s shooting at an Oregon high school, many media outlets, including CNN, reported that there have been 74 school shootings in the past 18 months.
The statistic came from a group called Everytown for Gun Safety…Without a doubt, that number is startling.
So on Wednesday, CNN took a closer look at the list, delving into the circumstances of each incident Everytown included.
Everytown says on its web site that it gleans its information from media reports and that its list includes school shootings involving a firearm discharged inside or on school grounds, including assaults, homicides, suicides and accidental shootings.
CNN determined that 15 of the incidents Everytown included were situations similar to the violence in Oregon — a minor or adult actively shooting inside or near a school. That works out to about one shooting every five weeks.
Some of the other incidents on Everytown’s list included personal arguments, accidents and alleged gang activities and drug deals.
15 is a long way from 74. This goes beyond being misleading; Bloomberg’s group is straight up lying to the American public. The worst thing is, the anti-gun media is lapping this lie up and spitting it out to a gullible public.

While it’s great that a liberal news agency like CNN actually took the time to debunk some radical gun control lies, they hardly deserve the credit. Independent journalist Charles Johnson thoroughly debunked the 74 school shootings yesterday in a series of biting tweets.

By Johnson’s reasoning, “fewer than 7 of the 74 school shootings listed by Everytown are real mass shootings.”

Johnson also cites one of the supposed school shootings that turned out to be a man firing a weapon in self-defense as he was attacked by a group of thugs at Eastern Florida State University.

In reality, we didn’t need Charles Johnson or CNN to point out how bogus that 74 number is. The news jumps all over school shootings, real or imagined. We would have noticed a school shooting every week. It would have been unavoidable.

Bloomberg has stated that the goal of Everytown For Gun Safety was to win the hearts and minds of Americans to get them to accept further gun control measures. I can tell you this: you don’t win people over by lying to them.

What Do Founding Era Sources Reveal About the Second Amendment?

I spent last week vacationing in Florida. One of the things I really enjoy about getting away from the daily routine is the opportunity to catch up on reading. So, while lounging on the beach, I dug into founding era sources surrounding the proposal and ratification of the Second Amendment. Here are some things that were very clear.

    1. There is zero evidence that the founders contemplated the Second Amendment applying to the states.

    2. The maintenance and independence of the state militia was intimately connected with the Second Amendment.
    3. The militia was not a select group of people. It was the whole people of a state (able-bodied males – but generally described as people.)
    4. The militia was considered a check on government power. This was the driving force behind the Second Amendment. The fear was that Congress could disarm the people (the militia) and establish a standing army in its stead. But this idea flowed from a more general right of self-defense. An individual right to defend oneself it seems was pretty much a given. I didn’t find any evidence that the idea of government disarming people for their “own protection” was even contemplated.
    5. The biggest debate surrounding the Second Amendment when it was proposed was a provision to exempt those who objected to taking up arms on religious ground from militia service. This was ultimately dropped. Reading between the lines, you realize that it was pretty much a requirement that able-bodied males keep and bear arms.
    6. The reason the Second Amendment focuses on the militia is because that was the only avenue the founders contemplated the federal government using to infringe on the right to keep and bear arms. There is no delegated power for the federal government to regulate guns for “safety” purposes.

Hillary Clinton, the former US Secretary of State that was blamed for the Benghazi massacre, unsurprisingly supports a ban on “assault weapons.

“We cannot let a minority of people — and that’s what it is, a minority of people — hold a viewpoint that terrorizes the majority of people,” Clinton said in response to a question during a town hall forum. “You are about the fifth person in the past few weeks — parents, another teacher, interested citizens — who have said something similar to me.”

Despite her apparent (and convenient) regard for the well-being of hapless Americans, Clinton is historically unconcerned with the safety of others as long as her agenda is served. It was on her watch that 4 Americans lost their lives in Benghazi, and she gleefully destroyed the life and reputation of a 12 year old rape victim during her days as a public defender. Hillary Clinton is likely to be the name on the ballot for the Democratic Party’s 2016 presidential bid.

I guess criminals that have guns illegally don't terrorize people only law abiding ones do...I guess the criminals will just turn in their illegal guns!!!!!!.I guess nut cases that use a gun to kill, trump law abiding citizen right to protect themselves, from such persons. Guess all these "special" people shouldn't have body guards with guns either because they would terrorize people, including you Hillary..... I guess when a government tries to disarm it's citizens for their own good, it has nothing to do with control!!
