I live in a hurricane prone area and have seen how people behave after a disaster. It's scary. You have those who sit (and sit and sit and sit) and wait to be helped and those who take immediate action. I take action. Secure the house, pack up the family, load up the pets and head out of the city immediately to the country. I'm fortunate I have a second home in the middle of nowhere that has supplies. What I have learned from watching people when they have run out of food and have no electricity is ............I don't want to be anywhere near them.
