Did AZ believe that McCain's 10 point border secure the border plan as he advertised on TV was good. Yes, they did.
Voters were fooled because McCain says he will secure the border is much different than candidate who says we need to stop AMNESTY to illegals and secure the border.
Friends can't seem to understand this That they are 2 separate issues.
Newsmax endorsement and accepting ad money from McCain was a disgrace. Now you are telling us Fox is doing same...wow.
I worked as a clerk in AZ election. got my ears full from former CO resident. Illegals vote in CO with electric bills for ID, etc.
AZ required ID. In AZ, Pearce, who authored SB1070 worked hard a few years to enact law that states a DL must be used for ID at the polls and AZ will not issue a DL without a birth certificate. This is A good reason not to give DL's to illegals.
So McCain won and AZ has a min-McCain being groomed for McCain's job in 6 years. Jeff Flake, Congressmand from AZ CD6 is just as awful as McCain and his votes are real similar. Here are some excerpts form various sources on Flake's immigration reform.

Please note in this article that Rep. Flake is the ONLY Rep. the Deomcrats knew they could count on to agree with them immigration reform.

Confirms that Rep. Flake did refer to SB1070 as Imprudent

Please don't give up AZ. Many people don't know how to do research on illegal issues and don't know sites or only use computers for e-mailing.
ALIPAC volunteers made many calls to AZ residents before the election.
You were super to do this. It gave us hope that maybe McCain voters could become Hayworth voters.
Hayworth was a good candidate.

Re: take heart
Exactly. It's a defeat, no question, but not one that can't be overcome. We've stopped this McShamnesty 3 times before, and we will stop it again with or without John McCain in the US Senate.

I am ashamed of the people of Arizona voted for McCain. He has been against the voters for years. He has lined his pockets and lied to the people of Arizona and USA. My support for Arizona has stopped.

Arizonans have demonstrated themselves conflicted by first enacting the toughest illegal immigration law in America and then turning around a few short months later and reelecting pro-Amnesty Senator John McCain. The guy was a loser in the presidential election, a dumbass bigtime, and largely responsible along with George W. for ensuring the election of what is unquestionably the worst president in the history of America -- yes, even worse than Jimmy Carter which I didn't think possible.
I have at times given in to the temptation to think that the NVN did us no favors when they changed their minds and recusitated McCain after initially deciding to let him die due to the severity of the injuries received as a result of his ejection when he first arrived at the Hanoi Hilton many years ago. They changed their minds and provided him medical care once they learned who his father was, i.e. CnC of the Navy Fleet operating in the Gulf of Tonkin, no doubt thinking the son would make an excellent pawn they could use for their purposes.
McCain is a grand wizard of deceit and the voters are unfortunately so blind and stupid as to not see it. They will regret their vote soon enough. J.D. Hayworth was a handicapped candidate to run against McCain and should have never offered to do it knowing the political skeletons he had hiding in his closet but maybe he was the only one with the guts to come forward and try it. I am not looking forward to McCain teaming back up with his queer little buddy, Lindsey Graham. The thought of that sickens me. I would imagine this will be McCain's last term in office so he will have nothing to deter him from embracing extreme liberalism. He will be Arizona's Senator from hell before his term expires one way or the other.

They held a " cloture" vote in the Senate to bring the bill up for a full Senate vote. At the time, everybody knew that a vote for cloture was a vote for amnesty because cloture requires 60 votes and the next vote would have required only 51. It just made sense that if It could get 60 votes for cloture, then It could dam sure get 51 to pass the Senate....am i making sense to you here? Well the American People who were awake at the time fought our hearts out to stop the thing and we did. Jorge Boosh and Harry Reed wouldn't take no for an answer, they tried again about a week later. Jorge Boosh lectured us all and told up he would see us at the bill signing. His globalist bosses were in power play mode and they wanted amnesty really bad. Subsequently, the American People FRIED the Capitol switchboard completely renderring it unusable. This sent a strong enough message as to stop the legislation AGAIN. Trent Lott, globalist puppet Senator from Missippi came out and made the statement that Senators were afraid they would lose their seat if they voted for the amnesty in the face of such opposition. Both of your Senators were right there in the thick of the treason. Still we stopped them again.
My point is, everybody knew,a vote for cloture was a vote for amnesty. And any thinking person knows that once McAmnesty got past the primary he's not going to lose to some unknown Democrat in November. WAKE UP Ralph, sounds to me like you could learn a lot from a 2 year old child.

Thank You. It's refreshing to see someone look at this situation and see it like it is without all the derogatory ignorant remarks! This is not Doomsday and Arizona will not go quietly into the night and become part of Mexico!

I am very disappointed in the people of Arizona, but not surprised!
After all the support that state got from people all across this country they are setting McCain up for reelection. I feel I wasted my money this summer by traveling there on vacation in support of SB1070.
The people of Arizona must really learn to discern a lie from the truth. I really hate to see Arizona head back down that road, and they had the avail from the American people. They failed on their part! We gave them support, but they dropped the ball.
The Lord has another plan for Arizona and McCain. I pray that plan is a change of heart for McCain, and that he will fight for the people of his state against amnesty like he has never done before.
