A Florida man with the radical “black bloc” protest network has pleaded guilty to felony rioting and assault for his role in the Inauguration Day chaos in the District.

Dane Powell, 31, of Tampa, was the first to enter a guilty plea on felony charges brought against 212 protesters accused of rioting and vandalizing property during the Jan. 20 melee surrounding President Trump’s swearing-in ceremony.

Scheduled to be sentenced July 7, he faces a possible six years in prison for breaking windows and throwing a “brick, large rock or piece of concrete” at officers after joining a mob of masked black bloc protesters who moved en masse across 16 blocks in about 30 minutes, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Friday’s plea was announced by U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Channing D. Phillips and acting Metropolitan Police Chief Peter Newsham.

Carrying hammers, crowbars, metal poles and wooden sticks, the self-described anarchists broke windows at a dozen businesses, including Starbucks, McDonald’s and Bank of America; pulled newspaper stands and trash cans into the streets; spray-painted buildings, and shattered the windows of a police cruiser and limousine.

Federal prosecutors released a superseding indictment Thursday that brought additional felony counts against some defendants, including Powell, which brought an outcry from protesters.

“The prosecutor is using the threat of years in prison to obtain convictions before she has even bothered to make a case against anyone,” said Olivia Alsip, who said she was offered but rejected a plea deal. “Many defendants, like myself, believe these cases to be politically motivated and want to take these ridiculous charges to trial.”

The 212 defendants face eight felony charges: one count of inciting or urging to riot; one count of engaging in rioting; one count of conspiracy to riot, and five counts of destruction of property, said U.S. Attorney’s Office spokesman Bill Miller.

In addition, 100 defendants have been charged with another count of misdemeanor assault on a police officer. One was charged with assaulting an officer in a separate incident; two were charged with vandalizing a limousine, and one was charged with three felony counts of assault on a police officer while armed.

Defend J20 Resistance, a committee supporting the defendants, countered Friday with a statement insisting that protesters were “violently attacked on Jan. 20 by police using chemical and projectile weapons.”

Disrupt J20 was involved in organizing the inaugural protests, but Defend J20 spokesman Matthew Whitley said the groups are not connected.

“We haven’t seen a shred of new evidence to support this superseding indictment,” said Sarah Hailey, a defendant arrested in the Jan. 20 protest. “The prosecutor is just using excessive charges in order to scare and coerce us into pleading guilty.”

Defend J20 said that more than 100 of those charged have joined an agreement, Points of Unity, in which they vow not to cooperate with prosecutors at the expense of other defendants.

In a press release, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said Powell and others threw bricks, rocks and concrete pieces at officers, knocking one unconscious and sending others to the hospital.

“Under the District of Columbia’s voluntary sentencing guidelines, Powell faces an estimated range of 12 to 36 months in prison on each of the two charges,” said the release.

A total of 230 people were arrested on Inauguration Day, but prosecutors later dismissed cases against 19 of them. Another two protesters pleaded guilty to misdemeanor rioting.

The black bloc has been described as a “anarchist tactic” used by violent, anonymous protesters to blend together and conceal their identities. Black bloc mobs were accused of inciting the Feb. 2 rioting over conservative provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos in Berkeley, California.

Militant leftists tied to a Marxist pro-pedophilia group rioted at UC Berkeley.

The violent leftists who rioted at the University of California at Berkeley to silence conservative viewpoints have ties to the pro-pedophilia group the North American Man/Boy Love Association (NAMBLA).

That’s what investigative reporters at the Daily Caller discovered. According to explosive internal documents provided by a group of researchers, the militant leftist group BAMN (By Any Means Necessary) worked directly with the North American Man/Boy Love Association (NAMBLA).

BAMN organized the recent wave of violent anti-conservative and anti-Trump riots at Berkeley. For years, NAMBLA held conferences promoting thinly-disguised pedophilia (“man-boy love”) under the aegis of gay rights and “sexual freedom.”

The organization’s conference materials showed photos of naked young boys and detailed lurid accounts of sexual encounters between boys and older men.

The Berkeley riots are tied to the pro-pedophilia group North American Man/Boy Love Association.

To promote their pro-pedophilia agenda, the North American Man/Boy Love Association (NAMBLA) adopted these proposals, the Daily Caller reported:
– Abolish all age-based curfews.
– Children shall have the right to ‘divorce’ their parents.
– Children and youth must be provided nonmoralistic, explicit, sex-positive – including lesbian/gay positive – sex education that includes safe sex education. Condoms, latex barriers and contraceptives in appropriate smaller sizes must be distributed in all schools.

Even to the untrained eye, the rules championed by NAMBLA appear to be little more than grooming tactics to lure young boys into homosexual lifestyles with older men. They also appear to rationalize and glorify the sexual exploitation of little boys.

BAMN, which worked with NAMBLA, made headlines in February after masked thugs smashed windows, set fires, vandalized property, and assaulted students who went to see conservative writer Milo Yiannopoulos speak at UC Berkeley. It turns out that Jesse Arreguin, the mayor of Berkeley, California, is a member of BAMN (By Any Means Necessary).

Yvette Felarca, a national organizer for BAMN, made no apologies for inciting violence against people she believes are “fascist” (which, to her, is all conservative whites). In September 2016, school teacher Felarca was briefly placed on administrative leave after a video surfaced of her physically attacking a young white male she claimed was a neo-Nazi.

In the video, Felarca shoves the protester, punches him repeatedly in the stomach and kicks him before a group of leftist thugs pummel and kick the protester.

Radical anarchists like Yvette Felarca have cropped up all across the country, leading many to wonder what has to happen before mainstream media and liberal politicians condemn their violent actions.

Now the rest of their lives will be ruined having a record is not going to be easy and all for being pawns in Sorro's and the elites resistance game. Not to bright of a decision at some point they will realize how stupid their decisions were but it will all be to late and they will be paying the rest of their lives.

A black bloc is a name given to groups of protesters who wear black clothing, scarves, sunglasses, ski masks, motorcycle helmets with padding, or other face-concealing and face-protecting items.^[1][2] The clothing is used to conceal marchers' identities, and hinder criminal prosecution, by making it difficult to distinguish between participants.

It is also used to protect their faces and eyes from items such as pepper-spray which law enforcement often uses. The tactic allows the group to appear as one large unified mass.^[3]

Black bloc participants are often associated with anarchism.

The tactic was developed in the 1980s in the European autonomist movement's protests against squatter evictions, nuclear power and restrictions on abortion, as well as other influences.^[1]

Black blocs gained broader media attention outside Europe during the 1999 Seattle WTO protests, when a black bloc damaged property of GAP, Starbucks, Old Navy, and other multinational retail locations in downtown Seattle.<sup>[1][4]
