Donald Trump adviser and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich on Thursday suggested that President Barack Obama was to blame for a rise in hate crimes because he had failed to “oppose black racism.”

During an appearance on Fox & Friends, Gingrich linked Obama’s presidency to the news that four black men had been detained in Chicago for allegedly torturing a disabled white man.

“I think a lot of their language, a lot of their approach heightened that sense of racial tension,” Gingrich said of the Obama administration. “And I think we have to oppose white racism, we also have to oppose black racism.”

“And I think if this had been done to an African-American by four whites, every liberal in the country would be outraged and there would be no question that it’s a hate crime.”

According to Gingrich, President-elect Donald Trump is trying to avoid “having the deep bitter division in the community that makes America very hard to govern.”

“I think people feel that they’re really alienated from their government and have no one to turn to,” he opined. “And you end up with this really kind of destructive and, I think, frightening kind of development.”

White House: Chicago torture case 'an outrage'

President Obama’s top spokesman called the beating of a mentally disabled man that was broadcast on Facebook Live an “outrage” that shocked people across the country.

“I’ve seen the video in news coverage,” White House press secretary Josh Earnest said Thursday, adding that the “disturbing images” show a “level of depravity that is an outrage to a lot of Americans.”

Earnest said he had not spoken to Obama about the video from his hometown but said, “I’m confident he would be angered by the images.”

Chicago authorities have filed hate-crime charges against four black suspects, who shouted insults about white people and President-elect Donald Trump during the attack.In the video, which showed a group of people gagging and attacking a disabled suburban Chicago teen, chants of "f--- Donald Trump" and "f--- white people" could be heard.

Earnest conducted his daily press briefing as the charged were being filed. At the time, he said it was “too early to tell” if hate-crime charges were warranted. He said it was up to local law enforcement officials to make that decision.

Obama is being interviewed Thursday afternoon by a number of Chicago-area television news stations, an opportunity for him to address the incident.

GotNews exclusively reported on Cooper’s violent gangster rap career under the street name “PBG HotHead” yesterday. A tip tells us “PBG” is likely short for “Pooh Bear Gang”, a Chicago criminal gang affiliated with the Black Gangster Disciples gang.
