I watched it all. It did make the Illegal aliens out to be the prototypical American family. They focused on one of the daughters, "Armida", a lot. She was 18yrs old and her dream is to go to Princeton Univ. Of course they made Frank out to be the "meanie" who was trying to destroy her life. I wonder if it dawned on viewers that if she did get accepted to Princeton Univ. (she didn't) , she would be taking a seat from a legal citizen!!!
The whole show was a "whitewash" of how illegals really are. They showed the extreme exception to the rule. They seemd like really nice people who just wanted to make a better life for themselves. That's all fine and good, but in the final analysis, it doesn't change the fact they are in the U.S. illegally and are therefore felons.
