Now that O'Connor is stepping down and Rehnquist is about to retire there is the possibility that Bush will nominate the first Hispanic American for the Supreme Court. I am not a religious conservative so I dislike all of Bush's potential nominees but I am particularly worried about the new Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, the former White House counsel and a longtime Bush aide dating back to when Bush was governor of Texas taking the job. As a Latino, what kind of impact could Gonzales have on the immigration laws in our country?

Someone in power is going to have to stick their neck out and make the suggestion on the floor that el capitan be impeached. This guy is betraying the working class of this society and that's a crime light years beyond having sex in White House. It is the demise of everything this country stands and has worked for. The crime negates all of the efforts our soldiers from all of our wars have made. It kicks all of us in the teeth for paying our bills, obeying our laws and being productive members of society--all so that things like putting a man on the moon and allowing the pursuit of happiness for everyone can become a reality. It was a reality in the past, but no more. If things keep going the way they are, Im afraid parents in the future will be competing against their own kids for a job. That's pathetic.

How does the government figure where they are going to get the amount of revenue to run and protect this country if they know wages will be dropping and jobs are being lost. Why would they pursue avenues that lead to this country's demise while knowing this? If they think that making North America all one nation while workers like Jose in Mexico City and myself are earning peanuts is going to work, then I would say that someone's head needs to be examined. Certainly not my child's!!!
