afraid to ask tough hard questions?

Why are we afraid to call this push for amnesty what it is - an attempt by some Hispanic so-called leaders to play the demographic hegemony card, to push this country in a direction that has nothing to do with who we are! Isn't time we questioned these people and ask our leaders why for example 50% of all legal residents are Hispanics, indeed why? Why are Hispanics treated better than other immigrants who don't get the language red carpet rolled in front of them as outrageously as it is rolled for Hispanics? Why? What is this nonsense about, what are our leaders up to?

I sent letters too along with my tea cords. I didn't stop at the local govt though, I even sent some to Rohm, all of the pres. senior advisors, the Pres and vice pres, Nancy P., and even Barney F. too --- but alas, no replies. I don't think I'm going to be on anyone's "gift list" this year

In Idaho here - we have 1 more week to try to push through our E-verify bill. I have already sent my letters our to ALL of our reps in this state, with only a few replies so far. The bill, SB 1155 would make it mandatory to force businesses to use the E-verify system to check legal status of an employee. So far, it was agreed to be printed......but then one of my reps here, McKenzie the chairman of Senate State Affairs, pulled the bill, stashed it in his drawer, saying that he would NOT take on Ag and the Dairy industry this session - That was public record. Other than e-mailing each and every one of them....again.....what the heck else can I do?

I sent them all the letter about the Calif. Supreme court - and I did get a few responses thanking me for sending them the info.........but no-one is budging........what more can I do?

I doubt I'm on anyones gift list either. I don't really expect an honest response either, but I definately called them on it. Fed-up with back door methods of sliding amnesty through by hook or crook. .... special everything for latinos, while the rest are pushed aside. Every last one voted against e-verify and anything to do with enforcing the law ......

Well, it struck me with Vincente's ramble that I heard on Lou Dobbs when he was here to sign his book....about being gung ho for the NAU. How proud he was of his Mexicans and their foothold here. Remember when the idea of the NAU was nothing except the rambling of conspericy theorists? I still say....wait and see.....I'll bet everything it was planned and promised as part of the deals made. You don't see a mass exodus to Mexico, and you don't see a flood of Canadians comming here. I don't see how you can have a free flow for long of workers, or a country that can handle an unlimited, uncontrolled flood of un-employed people looking for jobs that don't exist. I firmly believe they dumped their poor here thinking we could absorbe them and then who knows whats next. Canada ready to handle a flood of us there? Think that French Canadian is going to have the Mexican DEMAND he speak Spanish? LOL I'd like to see that. Do you see Mexico encouraging Americans to come on down and help his country, jobs waiting etc? Heck, they are upset coz there's too many white guys on their soccer team.

I remember reading about the NAU and there was a general belief.....the one to suffer the biggest loss would be America....from every avenue going. That's what I think they are doing. I just don't see how they think it will work.

Good question, alamb. I was wondering the same thing when I heard Lou Dobbs report this week that 50% of legal immigrants are Hispanic. Why is that? Why are we favoring one group over others?

There is some kind of U.S. law that stipulates we are only supposed to allow 6% of legal immigrants from any ONE ethnic group, culture, or country. This is supposed to allow for assimilation and the whole idea of the melting pot. I haven't seen the law exactly as written, so I don't know exactly how its worded. If it says maximum of 6% from any one country, I guess the ethnocentrics can still get 50% hispanic, as long as only 6% from any one country. Of course, I'm sure Fed government not enforcing this law any more than any other immigration law anyway.

The North American Union planned it this way.........

They are putting into effect the North American Union and part of that plan entails a massive Mexican work force in America.

The "7% per country limit" is a farce, it only applies to employment and a couple of small family categories, 75% of immigrants are admitted OUTSIDE of the per country limits. Amnesty is "exempt from the per-county limit", which is how we originally got 4 million Mexican immigrants over just a few years, and since then they have been sponsoring their relatives in the classes OUTSIDE the per country limits, and they sponsor THEIR relatives - endlessly.

Lou Dobbs reported that 46% of new NATURALIZED CITIZENS are Hispanic. While certainly Latinos/Hispanics are the vast majority of immigrants, legal and illegal, that number may reflect the fact that the pro-illegals crowd and the Mexican government are pushing for qualified green card holders (who may not have planned to become US citizens, or did not want to pay the high fee...) to actually become (dual) US citizens so as to have more folks likely to vote for Latino politicians and for voting "Mexico's interests"...Remember a previous Mex President exhorted Mexicans to VOTE THE INTERESTS OF MEXICO in the US....

as a a reward Mexico changed its laws to allow anyone born in Mexico or born of Mexican parents to become a Mexican citizen also.... and this, after the new US citizen SWEARS to forgo allegiance to any foreign country.... institutionalized corruption, with the US government not even paying attention

dual nationality = dual loyalty = no loyalty

By the way: the fact that the vast majority of immigrants (legal and illegal), does that not constitute DE FACTO DISCRIMINATION?... was it not these hotheads who complain that the pre-1965 country quota system was discriminatory because it favored (white) Europeans?

hmmm, double standard, how about that?

Thanks for the information, Bowman. Though I guess even if it were written differently or applied to 100% of immigrants, it would likely NOT be enforced anyway.
