And now it goes to committee where they blend the 2 bills together, and then it gets voted on again. The 3 traitors said that if their compromises are not in it, they won't vote for the final version. Yeah, right!

    retiredairforce,

I called Sen. Baucus's ofc. on the basis of your post saying you had seen him object to Sen. Session's amendment with the contact info. James gave us. However, I had to honestly state that I personally had not seen him do this. His aide did listen to my entire comment with courtesy. However, based on James's "related thread" below, it doesn't seem to be having any effect:

Discouraging, but let's go on calling Reid, Collins, Specter, and Snowe! E-Verify IS required by the House version! Perhaps we can keep it there even if Barney Frank has already stated that they intend to remove it in the committee conference.

I saw Sen. Sessions on cspan today, he was complaining that the dems had taken e-verify out and he stated that he wanted it put back in and Baucus blocked it, plain as day!

Isn't it amazing that Americans won't demand that illegal employees be deported? Not one member of the hundreds in Congress has come up with that idea. We'd rather mortgage our children's future a trillion than haul them out of here.
