America’s Obama Psychosis: Right and Wrong No Longer Matter

America’s Obama Psychosis: Right and Wrong No Longer Matter

in News, Opinion / by TSater / on June 20, 2014 at 11:33 pm /

Through America’s modern history, we supported a president when he did a good job and withdrew support when he didn’t. Although polls have shown a recent drop in the approval ratings of President Obama, he has a core of support that denies the catastrophe that is his presidency. The question is; “Why?”
On June 17, an NBC/Wall Street Journal poll confirmed a Gallup poll and made headlines after “a majority of respondents – 54 percent” said they “believe the term-limited president is no longer able to lead the country,” according to NBC. “Just 37 percent approve of [Obama's] handling of foreign policy, which is an all-time low in the survey, while 57 percent disapprove, an all-time high,” said NBC.
According to a June 20th Gallup poll, approval of Obama’s handling of immigration fell to 31%.
The question isn’t why 57% disapprove of Barack Obama’s handling of foreign policy. The question is what is there in Obama’s foreign policy that earns a 37% approval? What is there in Barack Obama’s handling of illegal immigration that elicits as much as 31% approval? Who are these people?
By any objective measure, the Obama administration has failed, yet he thrives and survives. There is no credible debate as to the failure of his presidency. The only debate is whether or not it is due to some “Saul Alinsky/Cloward and Piven” effort to “overwhelm the system,” or simple ineptitude.
It doesn’t matter that virtually every segment of the Democrat base has been adversely affected, economically, under Obama, or that he is inflating the dollar, exploding the debt and destroying “The American Dream.” He is their leader.
It doesn’t matter that his program of endless “free stuff” defies logic and math. He is their leader.
It doesn’t matter that he has sabotaged national security, undermined our sovereignty and opened our borders to a burgeoning underclass of unknown origin, dubious intentions and questionable criminal or terrorist background. It is immaterial that hundreds, if not thousands of people are flooding the country with sicknesses that could spread from coast to coast. He is their leader.

It doesn’t matter that he has chartered NASA to do Muslim outreach, focused the State Department on “Global Warming,” directed the Department of Defense towards the promotion of sensitivity towards the gay lifestyle. He is their leader.
It doesn’t matter that he has undermined our Constitution and the rule of law. He is their leader.
It doesn’t matter that his “Arab Spring” has evolved into an “Islamic Caliphate Summer,” or that his economic “Summer of Recovery” has become a “winter of discontent.” He is their leader.
In 2007, Hillary Clinton told General David Petraeus that to support his “surge” strategy in Iraq would require “the willing suspension of disbelief.” While Hillary’s bravado exposed her own lack of knowledge and a supreme arrogance, her expression provides an apt description of the ongoing, bizarre devotion to Barack Obama.
The only possible explanation is that a new and dangerous mass psychosis has developed in the American mind and character. It can’t be simply that he has the same color skin, or that he is empathetic to their sexual choice, or that they salivate at a life free of want, or even that they have bought into the propaganda of a “war on women.” People can’t be that obtuse. Surely they realize he has put America into a downward spiral and everyone’s futures will suffer.
The latest evidence of this psychosis is the IRS scandal, the obvious destruction of evidence and obstruction of justice. President Obama protested that there is not a “smidgen” of wrong doing. On June 20th, IRS commissioner John Koskinen reacted with indignation, smirks and a confrontational attitude in a House Ways and Means Committee hearing. This administration hasn’t shown that “big government works.” It has shown that criminal enterprise does. At any other point in our history, this would have sent the American public and a free press into an apoplectic frenzy, but not now. Why? It appears that right and wrong no longer really matter. Barack Obama must be defended at all costs, no matter the cost. He is their leader.

Every new scandal is ignored, or minimized. It doesn’t matter if the administration sold guns to drug cartels, spied on citizens, persecuted political enemies, or abandoned Americans to die at the hands of terrorists.
The failures, transgressions, corruption, crimes and ineptitude of Barack Obama have become abundantly clear to any thinking, rational, sound-minded American. Anyone who still gets a tingle up their leg when they hear him, faint when they see him, waves a banner with his logo, or supports his administration in any way, can no longer be waved off as simply uninformed, misguided, or naïve.
It can only be explained as a form of mass psychosis. Let’s hope there is an effective treatment, before it is too late.

It does'nt matter to the writer that the republican party did not elect, through 2 election cycles, did elect republican leaders strong enough to really oppose, to really challenge, and to really overcome tyrannical methods of governing. This story, too, has two sides!

The fanboy/fangirl syndrome doesn't rise to the level of mass psychosis. It's just a simple, tho praticularly idiotic, example of political correctness. These folks don't want to challenge 'Bama because he's a black male, and the politically correct crowd is going to look the other way instead of focusing closely on his actions - and the result of his actions for America and Americans.

In the aftermath of the 'Bamacare launch fiasco, polls did show that young voters no longer really trust him. Perhaps if 'Bama continues to inflict suffering on Americans, some of the, uh, more mature voters will also be willing to say that they know that they're being shafted.
