ANOTHER Recall - first e-coli in Spinach, then wassalmonella in Peanut Butter, clostridium botulinum in Earth’s Best Organic Apple Peach Barley Wholesome Breakfast Baby Food, now OM precooked chicken breasts. Just to add a little excitement to the mix, Dole imported a batch of bad cantaloupes from Costa Rico and distributed them throughout the US and Canada.

The pattern is starting to emerge. The Recalls are all in job areas where our President and Congress tell us Americans don't want to work - jobs filled primarily by illegal aliens who businesses claim they do not "knowingly" hire yet would suffer severe financial hardship without.

OR ... Food & Drug is doing an incredibly lousy job of inspecting processing plants and growing sites. And, to cover up this inadequacy, has notified consumers of food health risks in the past only sporadically. However, the peanut butter, baby food and OM chicken strips were all reported within the past 30 days.

Either way, this is starting to be more than just a rare occasional incident. Pigs and cows frolicking through the irrigation water may have worked for the spinach, but trying to use it for the chicken strips may not cut it this time, especially since these are fully cooked and "ready to make you sick."

THE THREAT

Listeriosis can cause high fever, severe headache, neck stiffness and nausea. Listeriosis can also cause miscarriages and stillbirths, as well as serious and sometimes fatal infections to infants, the elderly and those with weakened immune systems. ATLANTA — Carolina Culinary Food is recalling packages of Oscar Mayer ready-to-eat chicken breast strips with rib meat because they may be contaminated, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service said Sunday.

Officials said Georgia Department of Agriculture food scientists found Listeria monocytogenes in a sample. That type of contamination can cause listeriosis, which is uncommon but potentially fatal.

No illnesses have been reported, officials said.

The nationwide recall affects all 6-ounce packages of "Oscar Mayer/Louis Rich chicken breast strips with rib meat, grilled, fully cooked, ready to eat" that bear the establishment number "P-19676" inside the USDA mark of inspection on the front of the package.

On the back of each package is a "Use by" date of "19 Apr 2007."
