Is anybody else boycotting fast food establishments?

I've been boycotting fast food establishments for about 3 months now (due to the overwhelming number of illegal aliens who work at them), and I was wondering if any of the rest of you are also boycotting?

There are two fast food establishments who do not (to the best of my knowledge) hire illegal aliens: Starbuck's and In n Out Burgers. Do any of you know of any others?

    Americangirl,
I have been boycotting all of them here in SLC.
I'm not going to support the fast food business greedy cause.

I'm right there with you, boycotting all fast food.

    That would be me too.

I am really concerned about the health consequenses of eating foods prepared by unscreened workers. I have observed some unsanitary behaviors for myself at many restaurants. I'd say it has been a plus for family health. We are suffering much less digestive distress.

I have a lot of concerns too about all foods, even from stores. I'm choosing as carefully as I can, cleaning produce, along with insuring proper cooking. We are avoiding meat especially.

I'm having a hard time eating any where but at home. I just get ill thinking that illegals could be in the kitchen. Honestly, Mexican food is a real turn off. A lot of Mexican food restaurants around here have vacant parking lots. Shouldn't have closed for May 1. Got what you disserve.

In N Out? When I go there it's all highschool students working. I avoid McDonalds, Burger King, Carl's Jr. and the like. Not only because of the labor practices but also because it's just downright bad for you.

Dixie, I'm with you. Mexican restaurants are definitely off my list. Here in San Diego you'd be hard-pressed to find ANY restaurant whose kitchen staff wasn't comprised of 100% Latinos, and most of them likely illegals.

arizona85032, that's the same experience I've had with In n Out. They hire high school students, just like in the old days. Same with Starbuck's. Of course, both these companies pay more than minimum wage (Starbuck's starts it's employees at $10.00 per hour plus medical benefits, even for part-time employees, and In n Out is pretty much the same). If McDonald's, Burger King, etc. paid better wages and offered benefits, they wouldn't have any trouble finding legal citizens to work for them.

Yup, for the rest of my life. My doctor says that stuff will kill ya without the illegals being the cooks and handling the food.
