"Prior to 1965 when the disastrous Immigration Bill was passed, there was very little immigration. In fact, between 1925 and 1965, there was even a period of net emigration
out of the United States. During this time, our grass was getting cut, our meat was being packed, our children were being watched and our houses were being cleaned. The idea that somehow we suddenly can't run a country without an unlimited supply of foreigners is absurd."

We live in chicken country. A lot of kids, mostly boys, worked in and around the chicken houses, after school and on weekends.
A lot of people worked in the poultry industry here. For most it wasn't high income. But they worked, supported their families. When the Mexican came and replaced them, they just sit on their porches and draw welfare.
Also, a lot of older people supplemented their SS with Saturday work in the chicken houses.
Managing those chicken farms was a pretty good living for a family. The company furnished a house and utilities. It was just a way of life. Now those jobs are being done by illegals.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Thats insane money for a job like that. I've been a plumber for 5 years now and dont make that much per hour. But..on the other hand..i have definately seen a huge labor market in which illegals thrive..construction industry. Especially in southern California...i cant go to a jobsite without having at least 3 or 4 non english speaking workers at the site.
Bottom line is i was born and raised in Iowa..ive done the hard work as a teenager..detassling cornfields and rogueing soybean feilds in season. I'm also a veteran of the US military. Plumbing is no fun job either but i like the challenge of it.
I hope like hell that there is no 'amnesty' for any illegals in the country because thats one less job...no matter what job...for someone that is a citizen of this nation. I dont completely agree with the fact that illegals cry that 'we take the jobs u wont do'. A job is a job is a job. Whether it pays $7 an hour or $50 an hour.
