It’s being reported in Germany on Sunday that Bavarian officials are investigating a possible terror attack on a high-speed train, Nord Bayern reports.
Police have found wire pulled across a stretch of train tracks in Bavaria the national media report. The train conductor at the time mistook the sound for a shorted circuit.
On Sunday German media revealed that authorities are investigating a possible attempted terror attack on the high-speed train.
The incident on 7 October involved a wire that had been stretched across the train’s path with wooden wedges placed on the tracks.
The train was heading south from Nuremberg and Munich and the strange sound the conductor attributed to a small technical glitch on the train.
Also according to Nord Bayern, the authorities are in possession of a threatening letter in Arabic, pledging more attacks and the incident took place near a bridge with Arabic graffiti.

Germany fears more Islamic attacks on its high-speed trains

After an unsuccessful attack on a high-speed train last month, the German police fear more attacks on ICE trains in Germany.
On 7 October an attack took place with a wire that had been stretched across the train’s path with wooden wedges placed on the tracks.
An Arabic letter, that pledged more attacks, was found near the scene of the crime. According to the two paged letter further Europe-wide attacks against rail traffic will only stop if the “European states stop attacking ISIS”.
Nearby graffiti on a bridge pear nearby led the investigators to a Twitter account of an ISIS follower.
The Bavarian criminal police office LKA takes the situation very serious and fears another attack. For the near future, the second highest internal warning level is to be proclaimed.
In addition, security measures, such as increased route controls and increased readiness, have been drastically levelled up.
