attention californians
CA Alert! Driver's license bill still alive in Assembly!
SB 60, Senator Gil Cedillo's effort to give driver's licenses to illegal aliens, passed the state Senate last year. It also passed in Assembly committees and could now receive a floor vote with no advance notice.
Despite the overwhelming opposition of California voters, the legislature has repeatedly passed variations of this benefit to illegal aliens (our efforts have helped to convince Governor Schwarzenegger to veto these bills previously). There is a danger that the Assembly could move quickly and quietly while the media and voters are preoccupied with the presidential primaries.
SB 60 requires the DMV to issue a license to illegal aliens that would be valid for driving but not for federal identification purposes. Federal law does not require issuance of these second-tier licenses, as Senator Cedillo is leading many people to believe.
CAPS was instrumental in passing the legislation which requires applicants to show legal presence in California before they can obtain a license. Tell the legislature that we want to keep this important safeguard.
ACTION NEEDED
Let your Assemblymember and Senator know of your continued opposition to providing driver's licenses to those who have deliberately violated our immigration laws. Send a fax or an e-mail by entering your ZIP Code and clicking "Go!" below.

I think Schwarzenneger will keep vetoing the DL bill because he made a promise when he was elected...no driver's licenses for illegals and no car tax! These are the reasons Davis was recalled, and Schwarzenegger knows we would run him out of office if he tried it! However, he has not been shy about putting us $14B in debt...three times the $5B debt that Davis left us! It's only a matter of time now...because the next Governor will undoubtedly give DL's to illegals..

This is nothing new for Cedillo.
Gil Cedillo is nothing but a trouble maker and does nothing for the betterment of the state of Ca. He's just like Villigarosa, Joe Baca and Narravo. They were elected by the Citizens, "unfortunatly" and paid by the citizens, to work for the Citizens, and every move they make is against the Citizens.
If we were as hateful and racist as some have claimed, I know a few people that would have been 6ft under by now, adding more pollution to the Ca. gound soil.------------------------

Isn't it funny that the states that were giving illegals drivers license are reversing that order and here is California the Socialist state who give illegals everything feels the need to give them drivers licenses. One bill Gil is at it again.
I do hope all you Mexifornians are going to vote NO on proposition 93 this is the term proposition brought forth by Fabian Nunez and that slob in San Francisco Don Perata so they won't term out. This is our chance to get rid of them BOTH!!!!

Also.....FYI for California voters............
Independents cannot vote in the primaries.
Therefore you will need to register with the Republican party (by January 20) in order to vote in the primaries------You can then switch back to Independent voter status after the primaries."We call things racism just to get attention. We reduce complicated problems to racism, not because it is racism, but because it works." --- Alfredo Gutierrez, political consultant.

I posted this on another issue about CA DL, but I think this important enough to put it here.
We have to stop Ca Legislators - Californians Vote No on Prop 93
Sacramento’s Most Powerful Politicians are Trying to Gut Term Limits
The President of the State Senate and Speaker of the State Assembly are termed out next year and are desperate to hang on to their perks and power. So they want to change California’s term limits law so they can remain in the Legislature for years to come.
The Politicians Want to Fool the Voters
They are trying to weaken term limits by pushing a misleading initiative that falsely claims to toughen term limits but actually increases terms for most politicians!
Under the Politicians’ Scheme, Assembly Terms Would Be Doubled and Senate Terms Increased by 50% and 42 Termed Out Incumbents Could Remain in Office
The politicians are cynically claiming their initiative is a reduction in terms by saying politicians will only be able to serve a maximum of 12 years in one legislative chamber instead of the 14 years currently allowed if a politician serves the full 6 years in the Assembly and 8 years in the Senate.
But over 80% of legislators would have their time in office greatly increased and Assembly terms would be doubled from 6 years to 12 years and Senate terms increased from 8 years to 12 years. There’s also a special incumbent politician loophole that allows 42 termed out legislators – including the Senate President and Assembly Speaker – to remain in office for several more years.
