"Four armed intruders forced their way into the Tucson home of a U.S. Border Patrol agent Sunday morning, fired shots and left after the agent returned fire.

Officer Dallas Wilson of Tucson Police said it's unclear whether the agent was targeted because of his position. The agent was unharmed, and the four intruders remained on the loose late Sunday.

Wilson declined to release further details about the incident, which took place at 4:50 a.m.

The Border Patrol is conducting an administrative investigation into the use of force by the agent.

Tucson police are conducting the criminal investigation."

The use of force by agent!!! What an outrage...Another example of Govt. taking away rights of Agents to not only protect our borders but themselves. My friend said that it is not uncommon for Border agent supervisors to carve out niches for Drug/Human Smugglers to evade agents. Supervisors will have agents take coffee breaks, informing Drug/human trafficking Cartels where agents will be stationed. Though the boots on the ground agents are dedicated in fighting this Border War.

Thanks for posting Bren...Having been at the border this past week and still here in Tucson it is especially meaningful.

That's what I was thinking too. I wonder if they are related to the same group who just shot the police chief after discovering the huge smuggling tunnel.

I believe it was members of the drug cartels/MS-13.

This is a method that has been used in Mexico NUMEROUS times-----as a matter of fact, just last week.

Just last week, a sherrif in Mexico (along the border in California)---was shot and killed while lying in bed with his wife------because days before he alerted BP Agents of a tunnel that was being used to transport drugs and illegals.

Why is the FBI not in charge of this investigation? Border patrol agents are federal agents.

Because they do not want US citizens to know how bad the situation "really" is..........And that the same crime, violence, etc. that takes place in Mexico-----is coming into our country right along with all of the illegals who are "only coming here to work".

Unless one of the BP Agents notify Lou Dobbs or Glenn Beck----this won't even make the news.

If someone has information but they are concerned about retaliation from the crooked players who belong to the BP Union-----or some of our elected officials including our president..........Glenn Beck has a tip line where people----BP Agents, law enforcement, military, etc.-----can send info "anonymously".
