My first reaction was to not buy anything that day.

If it does cause chaos, our buying that day will only make it look like they are right.

I will, however, take into consideration that you guys know more about things like that than I do - so May 1st - it is. Although, I don't know of any large purchases I have to make.. I may buy a chicken - although I am not sure I could eat chicken again - ever.

This is insane cause mexicans in mexico are going stop to buy american stuff in mexico to support the latin people even many are going to stop to eat american food like Mc. Donalds and the other ones franchises foods in here, that´s what i heard in here.

In May 01 mexico celebrates Labor Day and everybody do/es not work in that day, in my opinion that sucks and i would prefer to work every day of my entire life cause i am not lazy as everybody in here i fact i am a workaholic ( A person who works too hard, even when they are meant to be on vacation) cause i like it and i get well paid for that and i enjoy my life in here. Hope everybody be like me LOL.
so then May 1 i am going to call Boycott Stop Labor Day.

In the other hand i am neutral and i am going to live my life as ever i lived (normally) and doing whatever i want cause i am a free person and nobody tell me what i can do and what i can not. LOL

Lou Dobbs had a segment on May Day ... showed people outside a port in Ca ... don’t remember the port ... the guy was rather ranting and said they would shut down the port on May Day to show how much power they had. Dobbs talked to the port operators about it and they were not aware of the shutdown they said they would have the High Way Patrol out in numbers to keep it open, what ever it takes ...This could cause some big altercation.

Geeze its not like we're saying we hate mexicans or anything. Just because their illegal buddies are having a hard time dosen't mean they should bully us into letting them in for free? Where is their American dignity?

MAY 1st BOYCOTT!!! I saw that coming long ago, even mentioned it in a post!
How can leaders of this country or even the FBI not thought of that possiblity of having all these illegals strike at once nationwide to bring this country to a complete STOP!!!
Another reason to defeat illegal immigration amesty bill!!!!!!!
    They're all over!

It's going to affect more than Texas. I am told the port workers and truck drivers who are predominately Latino won't be working in LA county that day and it is to have HUGE ramifications. I'm just at a loss at this point. I think they should immediately hire AMERICAN citizens at that time but we know they won't. All they care about is cheap labor.

This may 1st thing is funny..
mexicans and mex wanna be's not working for a day.
What about all the holidays on the calender that almost everyone has off from work?? I am sure more Americans will be off on the 4th of July than the amount of mexicans that even have jobs here to stay home from.
I think they would do better by holding their breath untill they got their way.
Or hunger strike, yea hold their breath and dont eat ....... Thats what they shoud do..

Beto, What an excellent idea!! Please encourage your friends to Boycott Mcdonalds on May 1st. Mickey D is a big supporter of La Raza, so by boycotting McD, your friends will be showing how eager they are to bite the hand that feeds them here in the US. Yes, I LOVE the idea!

Our next month's boycott target may very well be McDonald's. So THANK YOU, THANK YOU for helping us to kick off the month's boycott with the support of Mexico!
