It’s confirmed! Republican presidential primary front-runner Donald J. Trump has agreed to speak at the National Rifle Association’s (NRA) annual leadership conference, which will be held on May 20, less than two months before the RNC convention.

Second Amendment supporters will definitely want to attend this event in Nashville to meet many famous conservatives, too, where many other well known conservatives will speak. Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clark, Wayne LaPierre, conservative journalist Katie Pavlich, and others are already planning to attend.

Trump last addressed the group in 2015 (below), just before he made it official that he was running for President. So much has happened since then!

As Trump said:
“It is so important that we maintain the Second Amendment and that we maintain it strongly. And one of the main reasons is because the good people, the upstanding people, follow laws and norms but the bad ones
don’t.

So if the Second Amendment weren’t
there to protect our rights and someone tampered with them, the good people would be affected but the bad people wouldn’t care–they couldn’t care less.

It is absolutely imperative that we maintain the Second Amendment in its strongest form.”

Trump released his firearm policy paper on September 18, in which he called for national reciprocity for concealed carry laws and stressed that “concealed carry … is a right, not a privilege.”
