    Easy Methods

Easy methods for ICE to stop illegal alien day laborers.

I assume ICE reads this site so I have some tips for you to stop illegal alien day labor sites quickly.

    1. Secure the area surrounding the hiring zone. Have ICE agents come up to the area with megaphones and announce in english, spanish, and any other language spoken at the hiring zone what is going on. Everyone is detained while they are checked for immigration status, if you're illegal you're arrested and if you're legal you are let off with a warning notice that these places are illegal and that they shouldn't catch you at one again. Doing this on a regular basis would stop these zones all together not to mention letting illegals know we mean business. (was a little too excessive on this one before to put it mildly)

2.ICE Agents rent a bunch of vans/trucks/cars etc. and pose as contractors/individuals and pickup as many illegals as possible and arrest them afterwards.

3.Unmarked cars follow contractors/individuals hiring illegal aliens. The car is then pulled over by police assisting ICE and everyone is arrested and fined. This would make employers think twice before hiring an illegal alien and word would get around quick with contractors of who was arrested and fined.

Well, well, well. I sort of agree that ICE agents should follow the "employers" who pick up illegals at day labor sites but I'm not too keen on them swooping in like a swat team and rounding up people they only suspect are illegals.

I am not adverse to checkpoints where people are stopped and looked over such as the one at Sierra Blanca, TX that has been there for as long as I've been riding that road yet seems to take the drug dealers by surprise so they feel the need to run through it or else take off through the desert. a few hundred more of those checkpoints wouldn't hurt my feelings one bit.

    NoIllegalsAllowed,
There are a number of enforcement strategies that can be applied... but they won't..... and herein lies the real problem. If you were in the military you know about a chain of command. Federal law enforcement agencies including the ICE also have a chain of command and if you go up the chain of command of the ICE you come to Bush and his policy is HANDS OFF ILLEGAL ALIENS Illegal aliens are above the law. (if illegal aliens were not above the law they would not even be on U.S.soil)

And isn't Chertoff over ICE as well? Isn't ICE now part of homeland (in)security? He's in love with illegals for some reason, too.

Where I live 99.99% of all the day laborers are illegal except a few who are from Puerto Rico who are legally U.S. Citizens and have the right to come to the mainland. But there are very few Puerto Rican Day Laborers, most are illegal Mexicans. Even if they aren't illegal I think they could still charge them with tax-related crimes and loitering charges.

I know the National Guard couldn't make the actual arrests but just having them there to make sure no one tries anything with the outnumbered ICE agents and to show illegals that the U.S. is very serious about stopping illegal immigration and I think they'd get the message and be on the next flight to Mexico...this is only if ICE and the government wants to go after them (which they don't seem to want to do). You could go to any hiring zone in the early morning and you would find more illegals then ICE agents in the whole state.

I like plan #3. It sends a message to the employers, who are the real reason that the illegals come and are behind the push to give illegals, legal status, so they can continue to get their cheap labor.

You don't see this sort of show of force on American streets to be intimidating?

See, I 've lived in a couple places where military guys with machine guns stood at the airports and on street corners. It's a pretty creepy feeling to know that all it is going to take is one person to make one wrong move to get bullets flying. On the border, I say go for it! On the streets? I just don't know.

These are just suggestions, but we should write to our elected officals and ICE suggesting #3.

Firing warning shots is stupid ,and dangerous.

It happens in movies, and on T.V. ,so people imitate it.

If your life is in danger enough to fire a shot, shoot to kill.
