THE U.S. CITIZENS FOREIGN FAMILY VISA AMMENDMENT

The current U.S. Visa policy towards family members of U.S. Citizens in foreign countries is destructive to familial relationships. Treating American Citizen’s foreign family with dignity and respect it will pave the way towards strengthening the common bonds American Citizens share with our families in countries all around the world.

I could make a lot of comments here-- very negative comments about events I am personally familiar with through people I've known for a long time who married foreigners. But I will refrain and just make one comment.

Could this perceived "mistreatment" against the families of foreign born people who now live in or have become citizens of the USA have anything to do with the fact that so many relatives come here, disappear into the mainstream populaion and become just that many more illegal immigrants?

People think they are being picked out for persecution all the time but they always fail to see that they often bring it upon their own people by breaking the laws.

Sometimes I really envy the Australians. An entire continent dedicated to just one country. If there are illegal aliens there, it wasn't because they walked across the border by the millions. It is because they let them in. I wish we had that luxury.

    It's Amnesty

    It's Amnesty!!!!!!!!!!

You left your family behind to live in a forigen land then you really didn't feel you had to live with them or you couldn't have left. If you are pining for you loved one then go home. Tell them to "tie a yellow ribbon around the old oak tree". Telephone e-mail wirte letters plane tickets

You don't have to live with someone to love them or be family.

Genesis 2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh".(Genesis 2:24) No one else matters.

Husband, Wife and small children are the family unit!

My children and parents live futher away from me than the border. No justification for amnesty.

This is a sneaky way of calling amnesty something else.

    Foreign Family Members

Check out what I wrote in the amendment on the blogsite.

Established American Citizens (3 generations or more) would have to request the Visa for them. Not all people break the law. Those who do follow the law should be rewarded not abused.

    VISAREFORM,

I can certainly understand your desire to enact such reforms, and I doubt you will find anyone here who would not be amenable to that if we could just GET THE BORDER CLOSED!!!

4 million a year are pouring in, and if it doesn't stop NOW, there will be nothing left for your family to come to!

    Wake up!

While it is true that "not all people break the law," the fact remains that too many do. Those are the people making it difficult for the rest. There is no point in whining to us about it. We don't want illegal aliens in this country and if the people you want to visit you or the people you want to visit can't get a visa, that is too bad. There is nothing else I can say.

    Who's talking about amnesty?

All I'm talking about is American Citizens being able to have thier In-laws visit. Imagine if you had a son who for some reason went to the Amazon as a researcher he decides to marry a Brazilian and stay there with his work. He has kids and want you to visit every now and again but everytime you want to pay a two week visit you have to pay $300 just to get an interview to get a Visa that can be denied for any reason.

    Thats what I'm talking about.

Well, you know what, you should have taught your son better than to marry a foreigner and give up his native land. I have noticed in the past 30 years that the young people seem to have no loyalty to this country and it makes me sick to know it is their parents' failings that make them that way.

    The Current Situation

Under the Current Situation those people who have a bonifide bond and interest in our country are being denied entry while the Yahoos who noone knows are jumping the border and sneeking into the country.

If an established American Citizen vouches for someone to simply come and visit that is better than what is happening now.

Well with a Wife that is Chinese and Knowing the Visa Laws. By what your saying here.

Provide immediate in-laws (Mother, Father, Sisters, Brothers, First Aunts, First Uncles and First Cousins),under current security restrictions, the right to a 5 year 30 day non-immigrant visitors visa
The only thing that is not coming is the Kitchen Sink. God Some Family's under this could be 40 or 50 people, A 5 Year 30 day Visa. Even my wife thinks that is a Joke. Her Mom and Dad was born before the One Child law in China. Her Mom has 10 brothers and Sisters, each have a Kid. Her Dad Has 8 brothers and Sisters and each have a kid.

So for each family unit on her Moms side that would total 30 people
So for each Family unit on her Dads Side that would total 24 People
Her Mom and Dad Total 2 people.

    Grand total 56 people.

And she has a small family compared to lots of nations.

You can not be loyal to two nations, without being unfaithful to one. Scubayons 02/07/06
