Thread: Collection of your comments on Senate vote on S. 2611

Like others here, I am completely distraught. It all seems like a nightmare. I just keep asking, how can they just have total disregard for the opinions of the people who put them in office. They voted against the people. I become exceedingly worried about what the future holds for my children.

I watched CPSAN in absolute astonishment as they not only argued for S.2611, but they just kept adding more and more benefits on top the amnesty... earned income tax credit, the DREAM act, etc. etc.

I have been saying it for years, and everyone acts like I am crazy, but they have more rights than we do. To top it off, got an audit letter yesterday from the DUA, saying I owe $2600. Huh? So I can pay their unemployment?! What do they have to pay to become citizens? A $2000 fine. This is bullshit!

I am so ashamed of these Senators.All that matters to them is money and power.They sold our Counrty to these illegals and you know the next thing will be for them to beable to vote before they actually have citizenship.The Senators must already have some scam up their sleeves to do just that,why else would they go agaist what most Americans want? They will need to replace the votes that surely will be taken away from them because of this treasonus act.We need to watch very closely to what they wil do next to get it so the ILLEGALS can vote.MA. is already trying to pass some bill so that their Illegals can vote in their state politics.This is such a dangerous thing that has been done to us.I would like to know why our exsisting immigration laws were not good enough?Why were these laws not enforced? Why did these laws need to be overhauled or changed? Please evryone stick together and vote all of these Traitors out of office.

I CAN'T BELIEVE THE SELLOUT THAT HAS TAKEN PLACE IN D.C. ILLEGALS SHOULD BE DEPORTED NOT REWARDED. THERE, END OF STORY. AND WHAT'S UP WITH THAT AMENDMENT THAT PROTECTS EMPLOYERS FROM FINES IF THEY JUST ADMIT THEY'RE USING ILLEGALS IN THEIR OPERATIONS. WHY NOT JUST FORGIVE DRUG DEALERS AND KIDDIE PORN PEDDELARS TOO. THEY'RE PROFITTING FROM LAWLESNESS TOO SO WHY HAVE A DOUBLE STANDARD. WHILE WE'RE AT IT, I GUESS THAT MEANS WE SHOULD QUIT GOING AFTER ORGANIZED CRIME. IF WE'RE GOING TO LET THIS COUNTRY GO TO THE DOGS, WHY NOT PUT IT ON A FAST TRACK?

Illegal is illegal. Amnesty is amnesty. Americans are screwed!

It's just plain to see, the Senators who voted to yes to amnesty, are not in touch with the American people! They have voted to give our country away to illegals, people who have broken our laws. They voted to reward law breakers. We will remember those who voted yes and we WILL vote them out!

I wake up each day and wonder what new insanity I am going to find out. This is no longer the country I grew up in, learned about , or people fight and die for. There are a few in government who still value our country, our citizens, our laws and their oath of office, but unfortunatly the rest are selling us out and it really angers me. I have never seen anything so insane as the bill this Senate passed. I was deluded into beleiving these people were intellegent but this deal is outright treason. It undermines everthing it means to be an American. There definatly needs to be changes and it needs to start at the top of this government. I personally would like to see the majority thrown out now for treason. I'm afraid waiting for elections is just more time for these people to do more damage. Most are not representing the American people. They are not doing what they were placed in office to do. They have lied to and manipulated the citizens of this country. Too many have turned their job to serve us into a lifetime career of pandering to everything and everyone but the Constitution and the American people. The majority of the Senate should hang their head in shame for what they are doing. Personally I don't know how they look in the mirror each day. It is a disgrace to see what is happening to this country and obviously this government doesn't care. We do though and by God I hope there's a way to make them know that.

I am just sick at the total disregard these politicians have for the American people.

I have family members that have had medical emergencies and were turned down for finacial aid because they didn't qualify, yet if they were illegal aliens they would not have to pay a dime.

Any politican that voted or votes in the future for illegals will NEVER get my vote.

We must stand firm.

I pray for the U.S.A.

We need to start thinking about voter fraud. You know they are signing up non citizens to vote. It's a felony that should keep them from earning citizenship, but who's watching???

I just hope the House of Representatives have the guts to stand fast and not give an inch on border security. Hastert and Boehner better not cave in my days with the GOP are over.

I'm disappointed in the vote. I'm angry to hear all the sell-out politicians who were congratulating themselves for passing the bill before the vote was even taken.

BIG BUSINESS OWNS THIS COUNTRY - NOT THE COMMON PEOPLE. THAT IS THE MESSAGE OF THIS BILL PASSING THE SENATE. LAW DOESN'T MATTER - THEY ARE ABOVE THE LAW -

RE: what we should have been doing that we weren't,

i.e. the big demonstrations people were calling for OTHERS to make

some of the leaders of this movement (Minutemen) certainly DID make a caravan across country and demonstrate in Washington. But during the organizational plans, they were looking for local people to organize on the local level, people to join their caravan. People had to DO something to make it happen, not just wait for SOMEONE to make it all happen. There was some response but just not enough. The leaders can't do it all by themselves. They are not funded by the Communist Party, by Mexico, by major corporations. They don't have the money of the US Chamber behind them. They don't have busses to send out all over to bring people in for professional demonstrations. They don't have the most powerful church in the world organizing for them. - collecting money from their parishioners.

There is also a petition for a Boycott against the US Chamber on this forum. There are over 2000 hits on that thread and only 438 signatures.
People complain its just too inconvenient to expect people not to patronize these businesses.

THE BRUTAL TRUTH IS THAT CALLING IS ABOUT THE STRONGEST ACTION MANY PEOPLE ARE WILLING TO UNDERTAKE. EVEN THE CALLS ARE ALOT TO ASK OF MANY.


Bay Buchanan says that six weeks ago we had less than 10 Senators we could count on. Our calls certainly DID have an effect. We gained Senators we didn't have before. NONE OF THE SENATORS ARE UNAWARE OF WHAT THE WILL OF THE GRASSROOTS IS. A demonstration the size of our opponents' (or bigger) would not have changed the Senators that are sold out to business interests. That DEMONSTRATION business was a contest for WHO HAD THE MOST FINANCIAL SUPPORT.

THESE SENATORS KNOW THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE. THEY JUST DON'T CARE AS MUCH FOR THE PEOPLE AS FOR THE BIG BUSINESS INTERESTS.

Tell me, what kind of demonstration would have moved Spector? or Graham of the manicured golf green? McCain? DeWine? Voinovitch?

To tell the truth, they know very well that illegals will be voting in the November election. They haven't made the first attempt to keep our election process from being compromised.

Why don't they care?

DO THEY KNOW WE DON'T STAND A CHANCE AGAINST IRAN AND EVENTUALLY CHINA IF WE DON'T GET OURSELVES A BIGGER ARMY ASAP? IT IS MY BELIEF THAT THIS IS THE REPUBLICAN AGENDA - GET THESE BODIES IN HERE - THE MORE THE BETTER - AND TRADE QUICKER CITIZENSHIP FOR MILITARY SERVICE.

As for me, I have resigned from the Republican Party.
I'm going to keep fighting on the political front - helping to defeat EVERY SENATOR who voted for this heinous bill. I can't say I always trust the political process - but I am going to put my efforts into it 100% for this upcoming election and everyone needed to get EVERY SENATOR WHO VOTED FOR THIS THROWN OUT OF OFFICE.

I can't say I have alot of confidence in MOST of my fellow Americans to do much more than TALK - then tune into AMERICAN IDOL. It is Americans who have been hiring the illegals to make a bigger profit. It is Americans who hire them for odd jobs outside Home Depot. It is Americans who have made these corprations rich with their patronage.

Don't tell me they don't know - how many people know about the practices of WALMART but patronize them anyway? He*l of a lot, seems to me!
