Poll on "Los Angeles, Mexico" billboard
The San Francisco Chronicle is running a poll about the infamous "Los Angeles, Mexico" billboard. "Do you agree with Governor Schwarznegger on the Los Angeles billboard?" Vote at www.sfgate.com/polls . Also, if you want to know which way the wind is blowing, according to the Chron article: "All you have to do is drive in Los Angeles in the afternoon and listen to talk radio," said Harry Pachon, president of the Tomas Rivera Policy Institute, a Latino issues think- tank at the University of Southern California. "The No. 1 and No. 2 stations are anti-immigrant, all day, every day." (And this is in SOUTHERN California, supposedly the bastion of "Latino support.")

67% .. yes the implication is offensive to U.S. citizens
27% .. no, it's a harmless radio stunt to gather listeners
6% .. it doesn't encourage illegal immigration but it does bother me"This country has lost control of its borders. And no country can sustain that kind of position." .... Ronald Reagan

I like the question on Arnold's "Combat Pay" for teachers.

That is not true, but we do have radio that is actively anti illegal aliens. They are not number one and two.. but pretty signficant. However... and again.... don't forget that some 40% of the jobs in Los Angles are under the table, and the they are not paying taxes when that happens. Most of the illegal aliens have under the table paychecks and the why on this is clear: if they are caught, they will be returned. You and I would pay the money back.. the illegal aliens are simply returned. Nice. I will steal that opening blurb up there with joy in my heart. And thank you.

One more thing:now that the schools here are largely newcomer Latins,at least 3-4 times a year they close the school down because of lice.We NEVER had lice in our area before.
